Frequently Asked Questions - VT-3414 W Vitek

How do I clean the blender?
After use, rinse the jar with warm water. For thorough cleaning, add a drop of dish soap and water, blend for 30 seconds, then rinse. The jar, lid, and measuring cap are dishwasher safe (top rack).
Can I crush ice with this blender?
Yes, the stainless steel blades and pulse function are designed for crushing ice. Fill the jar no more than half full with ice, add a little water, and use the pulse setting in short bursts.
What does the pulse function do?
The pulse function gives short, powerful bursts of blending for precise control. Use it for chopping or crushing ingredients, or to avoid over-processing.
Is the blender jar BPA-free?
Yes, the plastic jar is made from BPA-free materials, ensuring safe food contact.
The blender stopped working during use. What should I do?
First, check that the jar is properly locked onto the base and the lid is secured. The blender has a safety lock that prevents operation if not assembled correctly. If still not working, unplug for 30 seconds and try again. Contact support if the issue persists.
Can I blend hot liquids?
Do not blend hot liquids above 60°C (140°F) as pressure can build up and cause the lid to blow off. Allow liquids to cool before blending, or remove the center cap to let steam escape on low speed.
What is the maximum capacity for solid ingredients?
When blending solid ingredients, do not fill the jar beyond the max line (usually 1.2 L for solids). Overfilling can strain the motor and cause spills.
How do I replace the blade assembly?
To replace the blade assembly, unscrew the blade base from the jar in a counterclockwise direction. Install the new assembly and tighten securely. Ensure the rubber seal is in place to prevent leaks.
Why is there a rubber smell when I first use it?
A slight rubber smell during the first few uses is normal due to the seal and motor components. To reduce it, run the blender for 2 minutes with water and lemon juice. If the smell persists, stop using and contact support.
Can I grind coffee beans or dry spices?
This blender is not designed for dry grinding as it may clog the blades. For occasional grinding, use the pulse function with a small amount, but frequent dry grinding may damage the appliance. Consider a dedicated grinder.
