SPECIFICATION
power: 1000 W
Power supply: 230/115V \~ 50/60Hz

USE
Before the first use, remove (unpeel) the factory cover of the sole (10), unroll the power cord fully and set the proper power supply voltage with the switch (8).
During the initial use of the device, harmless odour may be emitted from it. This is short-lasting and has no effect on the operation.
POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE SWITCH
The iron can be operated with either of two power supply voltage systems: 115 V and 230 V (fig. 2)
Before connecting the device to the mains, make sure that the switch (8) is in the position indicating the power supply voltage of your network. The position of the switch may be changed with a flat-ended screwdriver.

CAUTION
The switch position must not be changed when the device is connected to the mains!
FOLDED GRIP
The iron is fitted with the folded grip (2) and the sole (10). This solution facilitates storage of the device, e.g. during travels. To prepare the iron for use, hold it by the body (9) and pull the grip upwards to hear the click sound. This will release the sole (10) from the body (9). The grip may be folded after pressing the button (12) in the base of the device (11) (fot 1).
CAUTION
The grip may be folded and unfolded only when the iron is disconnected from the mains and is not hot (is cold).
IRONING WITHOUT STEAM
Before connecting the device to the mains, make sure that the switch (8) is in the position indicating the power supply voltage of your network.
Set the thermostat knob (6) in the position "off", and the steam switch (7) in the position "×" (no steam). Pull the grip (2) upwards and place the iron on the base (11).
Connected the device to the mains.
Set the temperature with the thermostat knob (6). The light (1) will go on.
Ironing may be started when the light (1) goes off, which means that the iron reached the required temperature. The thermostat will maintain the selected temperature, which will be signalled with the light (1) going on and off.
IRONING WITH STEAM
Ironing with steam and the steam shot function is only possible when high temperature is set. The range of temperature appropriate for use of steam is marked on the knob of the thermostat (6)
“✗ — ⚙” The steam function will not work correctly with different settings. Instead of producing steam, the iron will spill water, which is a normal symptom and is not subject to guarantee repairs.
The button (3) may be used to release additional volume of steam. The additional steam shot facilitates ironing of exceptionally resistant creases.
NOTE.
Steam is hot. Danger of scalding or burns.
The sole of the iron is heating up very quickly and needs more time to cool down. It must not be touched.
FILLING IN WITH WATER
Before filling up or replenishing water in the tank (5), disconnect the device from the mains. The iron may be filled up with clean tap water at room temperature or with distilled water. Never use mineral water, water with high calcium content or water for batteries. Use the enclosed container (with the shape matching the inlet opening) to fill up the iron tank.
Never pour water to the iron directly from the tap!
When pouring in water to the iron, make sure that the water level is below the "MAX" mark on the tank (5).
TIPS
- use tap or distilled water for the iron,
- reducing temperature with the thermostat knob will not make it go down immediately, you need to wait for the indication light to go on,
- do not use steam when the temperature is set to low,
- the iron should be stored disconnected from the mains, cooled down and without water,
- make sure to empty the tank (5) for travel. After emptying the tank (5), putting the iron aside is recommended for a longer time on the surface absorbing humidity so as to remove all residues of water.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, plug out the iron and wait for it to cool down completely.
The iron must not be immersed in water.
The iron must not be cleaned with rough, abrasive cloth or sponge, as it may destroy the device.
Wipe the body of the iron and the sole with a damp cloth, and dry it up with a clean cloth.
