How do I fill the water tank?

Unplug the iron first. Use a measuring cup to pour water into the water fill hole up to the MAX level mark. Do not fill from the tap directly.

Can I use tap water in the iron?

Yes, you can use ordinary room temperature tap water or distilled water. Avoid mineral water or water with high lime content.

How does the folding handle work?

Press the handle release button (9) to fold the handle. To return to normal position, pull it upwards until you hear a click and the button locks.

Why does the iron spit water instead of steam?

Steam ironing requires high temperature. Set the temperature dial to the red field (highest setting). Lower settings will cause water to drip.

How do I clean the soleplate?

Unplug and let the iron cool. Wipe the soleplate and body with a moistened cloth, then a dry cloth. Do not use abrasives or immerse in water.

What does the control lamp indicate?

The control lamp lights up when the iron is heating and goes out when the selected temperature is reached. It cycles on and off during use.

Can I use the steam function at low temperature?

No, steam function only works at high temperature settings. Using low temperature will result in water leakage, which is normal and not a defect.

How should I store the iron after use?

Unplug, let it cool completely, empty the water tank. Store in a vertical position to prevent water leakage. Wrap the cord loosely around the heel rest.

What should I do if the power cord is damaged?

USING THE IRON

Before you use the iron for the first time, please uncover (unstick) the soleplate protection (10), unwind the power cord completely and unblock the folding handle (6).

FOLDING HANDLE

The iron is fitted with a folding handle. It helps with storing the device while travelling.

The handle may be folded by pressing the button (9), photo 2.

To set it back to the normal position, please pull it upwards till you hear a click sound and the button is blocked again.

DRY IRONING

Place the iron in a horizontal position.

Before plugging in or operating turn the temperature dial to "0" setting.

After plugging in and temperature setting the light of the control lamp (8) comes on. It goes out when the chosen temperature is reached.

STEAM IRONING

Steam ironing with additional steam function is only possible with high temperature. The highest temperature is marked on a temperature selector dial (7) with a red field.

Steaming will not work properly in case of other settings; the iron will spill water instead of producing steam, and this is a normal situation which does not come under maintenance service.

NOTICE. Steam is hot and there is a danger of burning. The soleplate heats very quickly but it needs more time to cool down. It should not be touched.

FILING THE WATER TANK

Unplugging the iron ought to be preceded by filling the water container.

Use room temperature ordinary tap water or distilled water for ironing. Never use mineral water or water containing too much lime or water destined for car batteries.

To fill the water tank use a special measuring cup, the shape of which is adjusted to water-fill hole. Do not fill the water tank straight from the tap! While pouring water into opening remembe to stick to "MAX" level mark on the side of the water tank (5) and not to overfill..

WATER SPRAY

After filing the water tank you may sprinkle water on ironing surfaces by pressing spray button (2).

CAUTION: The iron is not suitable for regular use.

PRACTICAL ADVICE

• use tap or distilled water
• marking lower temperature with temperature dial does not result in immediate temperature reduction. Wait until the control light comes on again.
• dry iron at low temperatures
• the iron ought to be stored unplugged and without water,
• the water container ought to be carefully emptied before transporting. Once the water container is emptied, it is advisable to place the iron on the surface which absorbs water for a longer period of time in order to dry it completely

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• before cleaning the appliance unplug it and wait until it cools down completely.
• the iron should not be immersed in water
• do not use abrasives or heavy duty wipes and sponges because they may destroy the appliance
• the iron and soleplate should be wiped with moistened cloth, and later with clean dry cloth.

• before first use familiarise with the whole instruction manual
• before plugging in make sure tally plate data are compliant to mains parameters
• plug the device in the socket with earthing
• before plugging in and unplugging position the temperature dial on "MIN"
• the appliance should be unplugged by pulling the plug not the cable
• before storing the iron wait until cools down completely and empty the water tank. For storing period you may wrap loosely the cord around the heel rest. Too tight wrapping may damage the cord.
• store in safe place, in vertical position to prevent the remaining water leaking from steam vents and damaging the soleplate
• keep the cord away from heat sources
• before filling the water tank unplug the iron
• do not leave without supervision when working
• contact with hot metal surfaces as well as the steam may result in burning. Be careful while ironing.
• the device should not be used by people (including children) with limited physical, sensory and mental abilities unless they are under supervision of a person responsible for their safety
• do not leave children without supervision near the iron
• do not use outdoors
• do not immerse the cord or the appliance in water
• unplug before cleaning
  -use only in households
• serves only for ironing clothes
• do not place in horizontal position on ironing board while ironing
• do not use with damaged cord
• if the cord is damaged, to avoid danger, exchange it by authorised service providers
