Frequently Asked Questions - R707A GORENJE

Can I cut frozen food or bones with this slicer?
No, the slicer is only suitable for firm foods such as bread, sausage, or semi-hard cheese. Cutting frozen food, bones, or very hard cheese is not permitted and could damage the blade or motor.
How do I clean the blade safely?
Always unplug the appliance and remove the blade before cleaning. Hold the blade by its attachment, not the cutting surface. Wipe with a damp cloth and then dry. Do not immerse in water or use abrasive cleaners.
What should I do if the motor stops during use?
The motor may overheat after prolonged use. Switch off the appliance and allow it to cool down for at least 10 minutes before resuming. The maximum continuous operating time is 10 minutes.
Is the slicer suitable for left-handed users?
The slicer is designed for standard operation, but the start lock-out and ON button can be operated with either hand. However, the carriage and blade orientation are fixed. Left-handed users should exercise caution and follow all safety instructions.
How do I replace the blade?
First unplug the appliance. Slide the carriage back to access the blade. Rotate the blade attachment clockwise to remove. To insert, hold the attachment vertically and rotate anticlockwise until it clicks into place. Ensure the blade is locked securely.
Can I wash the carriage and sausage end holder in the dishwasher?
Yes, the carriage and sausage end holder are dishwasher-proof. The main body and blade must be cleaned only with a damp cloth and not immersed.
Why does the blade keep spinning after I release the ON button?
The blade coasts for a short time after switching off. This is normal. Wait for the blade to come to a complete stop before removing food or cleaning. Always set cutting width to 0 after use.
What is the maximum thickness I can slice?
The cutting width can be adjusted from 0 to 15 mm using the rotary knob. The maximum slice thickness is 15 mm.
How do I lock the carriage for storage?
Set the cutting width to 0, slide the carriage toward the blade until it stops, then move the slide (part 6) to position 1 (left) to lock the carriage in place. Stow the cord in the cord store.

Do not use the appliance. Contact Gorenje customer service for a replacement cord. Only authorized personnel should repair the appliance to avoid hazards.
