1. Product description
1.1 General
Due to its 20 m hose length, the compressed air hose drum can be used for a wide range of jobs in any workshop or garage: No more tripping over loose hoses lying around - simply roll-out the desired hose length and after the job is finished effortlessly pull on the drum. It is a safe and clean piece of equipment with a very robust design and a rigid plastic casing. It is UV resistant, protects the hose from wear and tear and keeps the workplace clean and safe.

1.3 Field of application and use for the purpose intended
The compressed air hose drum is designed and constructed according to the state of the art and the recognised safety regulations. Nevertheless if it is improperly used or not used as intended there may be dangers to life and limb for the users or third parties as well as damage to the equipment itself and/or to other property.
The compressed air hose drum is designed for the distribution of compressed air and is suitable for universal use in almost all spheres of compressed air technology. This device is not suitable for the transport of oxygen or other gases.
Any other use or use outside these conditions is not use for the purpose intended. The user carries the risk. Use for the purpose intended includes the observance of the operating and installation instructions as well as the observance of the servicing conditions.
1.4 Safety information
1.4.1 General safety instructions
Observe the general safety and accident prevention regulations. In addition to the instructions in these Operating Instructions the general safety and accident prevention regulations must be observed.
Pass on these Operating Instructions to third parties. Take care third parties only use this product after they have received the necessary instructions.
Keep children away from the equipment and prevent it being used by other people. Do not leave the equipment unattended when it is ready to use. Under no circumstances allow children to get close to it. It is forbidden for children to use the product. Protect the product from unauthorised use.
Always be alert and watch what you are doing. Do not do any work on this product, if you are inattentive or are under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Just a moment of inattention when using this product can lead to serious accidents and injuries.
Watch out for damage. Check the equipment before putting it into service for damage. If the equipment has defects it must definitely not be used.
Do not use pointed objects. Never insert points and/or metallic objects inside the equipment.
Do not use the equipment in a way that it was not intended to be used. Only use the equipment for the purposes intended in these Operating Instructions.
Check it regularly. The use of this device can lead to wear in certain parts. So check it regularly for any damage and defects.
Only use original spare parts. For your own safety only use accessories and additional equipment which are specifically mentioned in the Operating Instructions or are recommended by the manufacturer.
Do not use outside. Do not use the equipment in places where there is a risk of explosion, in which there are substances such as combustible liquids, gases and, in particular, areas where there is paint and dust fog.
1.4.2 Specific safety instructions
▶ Changes as a result of technical progress can be introduced by the manufacturer without prior notice and may not be included in the Operating Instructions.
▶ Check the equipment before putting it into service to see that it is complete, functions properly and is air tight.
▶ Never put a defective or non-functional piece of equipment into service. Contact the manufacturer or get the equipment checked by a qualified technician.
▶ Never stand on the equipment
▶ Hold the end of the hose when unrolling and rolling up with both hands so that the end of the hose cannot injure anyone while swinging about.
▶ Pay attention to the maximum working pressure of the hose. Only operate the hose within the given parameters (see Technical data).
▶ At very low temperatures the hose may become inflexible and stiff. This can lead to problems when rolling up.

▶ Take care when the hose is moved it is not damaged by sharp edges and objects.
▶ Never store or put the hose in a place where there is direct sunlight.
▶ Never use the hose to carry dangerous liquids (chemicals, acids, alkaline solutions, etc).
▶ Turn off the air flow before rolling up the hose.
▶ Always work cautiously and with the necessary care.
▶ Never use excessive force.
2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Operation
▶ Hold the end of the hose when unrolling and rolling up with both hands so that the end of the hose cannot injure anyone while swinging about.
▶ Pay attention to the maximum working pressure of the hose. Only operate the hose within the given parameters (see Technical data).

- Slowly unroll the desired length of hose.
- Connect the compressed air tool by means of the fast coupling.

The holding brake for the compressed air hose drum is on the back of the device. To apply the holding brake pull the plastic holder downwards and to release the brake pull the plastic holder up again.
2.2 Cleaning and servicing
Disconnect the hose drum from the compressed air source before you begin to maintain it.
▶ If the hose is dirty, clean it before you roll it up again. Never use aggressive cleaning materials.
▶ Regularly check that the hose is airtight.
▶ Regularly lubricate the moving parts of the hose drum.
▶ Immediately change defective and damaged parts.
▶ Roll up the hose completely when not in use and store it in a dry, clean and frost free place.
3. Guarantee
3.1 Scope
ROWI Electronics grants the owner of this product a 36 month guarantee from date of purchase. During this time any material or production defects found on the equipment will be replaced free of charge by the ROWI Electronics Service Centre.
Excluded from the guarantee are problems which are not due to material or production defects, e.g.
▶ Transport damage of whatever type
▶ Defects due to improper installation
▶ Defects due to improper use
▶ Defects due to improper handling
▶ Defects due to unsuitable repairs or repairs attempted by people and/or companies not authorised by ROWI Electronics
▶ Normal wear and tear in service
▶ Cleaning of components
Adjustment to different national technical or safety relevant requirements, if the product is not used in the country for which it was designed and manufactured.
In addition we do not accept guarantee claims for equipment if the serial numbers have been distorted, changed or removed. A guarantee claim cannot be accepted if parts are installed in the equipment which were not approved by ROWI Electronics GmbH.
Claims which exceed the free repair of defects as, for example, damage replacement claims lie outside the scope of the guarantee.
3.2 Procedure
If you have problems with your operation of your ROWI Electronics products, please proceed as follows:

2. If examination or repair is necessary by ROWI Electronics Service Centre proceed as follows:
▶ Pack the equipment
Pack the equipment in the original packing. Take care that it is sufficiently padded and protected from impacts. Transport damage does not form part of the scope of the guarantee.
▶ Attach purchase document
It is essential that you include the purchase receipt. The service performance in relation to the guarantee can only be considered if the purchase receipt is included.
▶ Send the equipment
First speak to the ROWI Electronics Service Centre and then, if agreed, send the equipment to the above address.

4. Disposal
The packing as well as all the packing material consists of environmentally friendly, 100% recyclable materials.

Correct disposal of this product
Within the EU this symbol indicates that this product may not be disposed of as household waste. Old equipment containing valuable materials that can be recycled should be sent for recycling so that neither the environment nor the health of people is damaged by uncontrolled rubbish disposal. Please dispose of old equipment, therefore, by taking it to suitable collecting points or sending it for disposal to the place where it was purchased. It will then go to the place where it can be recycled.
