Mains Power

  • This unit is designed to operate with an AC \~230V 50Hz power supply.
  • Unwind the mains cable to its full length. Connect the mains plug to the mains socket. Make sure the mains plug is firmly inserted into the mains socket. The unit is now connected and ready to use.
    • To switch the unit off completely, withdraw the mains plug from the mains socket.

Using Earphones

Turn down the volume before connecting the earphones. Slowly raise the volume with the earphones on until you reach your desired volume. When earphones are connected, the speaker is automatically muted.

Long-term exposure to loud music may cause hearing damage. It is best to avoid extreme volume when using earphones, especially for extended periods.

Playing music from an Audio Device

The AUX IN socket is located on the bottom left on the front of the unit. Use a 3.5mm stereo audio cable (not included) to connect to the audio device through the AUX IN socket.

Powering ON/OFF

When you first connect the unit to the mains socket.

  • Switch the POWER ON/OFF switch at the rear of the unit to ON position to turn on the unit.
  • Switch the POWER ON/OFF switch at the rear of the unit to OFF position to turn the unit off.
  • Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit off completely.

Selecting Modes

Turn the FUNCTION Selector to switch between AUX, FM and AM modes.

Adjusting the Volume

Turn the VOLUME control to adjust the volume.

Radio Operation

  1. Turn the FUNCTION selector to AM or FM mode.
  2. Turn the TUNING control to tune to a station.
  3. Adjust the VOLUME control to the desired level.

For Better Reception

FM - Fully unwind the FM aerial. Extend the FM aerial and place it in the position that sounds best.

AM - Reposition the unit to get better AM reception.

AUX IN

  1. Before connecting to the mains socket, use a 3.5mm stereo audio cable (not included) to connect to the audio device through the AUX IN socket.
  2. Connect the mains cable to the mains socket and switch the POWER ON/OFF switch at the rear of the unit to the ON position.
  3. Turn the FUNCTION selector to AUX IN mode.
  4. Turn the VOLUME control on the unit to adjust the sound level.
  5. In AUX IN mode, you may operate your audio device directly for playback features.

No Sound • Adjust the volume control, it may not be turned up.
Sound is distorted • Volume is too high. Adjust the volume control.
Poor FM reception • Make sure FM aerial wire is fully extended.• Electrical interference in your home can cause poor reception. Move the unit away from them (especially those with motors and transformers).
Poor AM reception • Rotate the unit horizontally until orientation with best reception is found.

  • The unit must be placed on a flat stable surface and not subjected to vibrations.
  • Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable surfaces as the unit may fall off or tip over.
  • The mains socket must be located near the unit and should be easily accessible.

- Avoid extreme degrees of temperature, either hot or cold. Place the unit well away from heat sources such as radiators or gas / electric fires.

- Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other sources of heat.

Moisture
