UV disinfection

Use the disinfection UV light to clean the nozzles after every use. This system provides a controlled disinfection.

It has been checked that removes 99.9% of bacteria and viruses.
To activate the disinfection system, close the nozzle compartment door and turn the UV/ON/DFF knob to the UV position.
The UV light will only turn on if the door is well closed. The light will turn off if the door is open during the disinfection cycle. When closing it again, the cycle will start again.
The disinfection cycle acts for 15 minutes and then it turns off automatically.
Stop using the disinfection cycle if the UV light is on when the door is open or if the door is broken. The UV light can be harmful to the human eye and skin.

Preparing the tank

Remove the tank from the base. Open the cover and fill the water tank with warm water. Place the tank again in the base, press firmly and close the cover.

The tank cover can be completely removed to make its cleaning easy.

Inserting and removing nozzles Fig. 6

Insert the nozzle in the centre of the knob in the upper part of the handle and press until it clicks. When it clicks you will see the knob lowers and stays fixed in this position. The color ring will be almost touching the end of the knob if the nozzle is correctly blocked in place.

Periodontal nozzle Fig. 10

The periodontal nozzle releases water and anti-bacterial solution in the periodontal pockets. It is designed to reach the deepest areas in the periodontal cavity.

To use this nozzle, lean over the sink and place the nozzle carefully under the gumline, in a 45° angle. Turn on the unit with the lowest pressure setting and clean the gumline by introducing the nozzle between your teeth. Continue over the gumline until you finish cleaning.

Braces nozzle Fig. 11

The special nozzle for braces is exclusively designed to brush and rinse simultaneously the areas difficult to access around braces and other dental works.

To use the braces nozzle, lean over the sink and use the bristles to slightly clean around the braces, water will flow through the brush to rinse.

Tongue cleaner nozzle Fig. 12

Lean over the sink, place this nozzle over your tongue and turn on the unit with the lowest pressure setting. Increase it if necessary. Place the nozzle on the centre of your tongue and drag it forward applying slight pressure.

Dental plaque nozzle Fig. 13

Direct the jet in a 90° angle to the gumline, slightly close your lips to avoid splashes, but allow water to flow freely from your mouth to the sink. Start in the molar area (back teeth) and continue towards the front teeth, place the nozzle close to your teeth so bristles touch them softly.

Gently slide the nozzle along the gumline, passing briefly between the teeth to brush them gently and allow the water to flow between your teeth. Continue until all areas around and between the teeth have been cleaned, both inside and outside, top and bottom.

Using other solutions

You can use mouthwashes and antibacterial solutions intended for this purpose, paying special attention when cleaning.

To avoid clogging the irrigator after the use of solutions you should rinse it as follows: fill the tank partially with warm water and operate the device with the nozzle pointing towards the sink until the tank is empty.

To finish

Turn off the irrigator and completely empty the liquid left in the tank. If you use special solutions, clean and rinse thoroughly the tank.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

Before cleaning it, turn off and unplug the irrigator.

After using special solutions in the tank, rinse the unit thoroughly.

After every use, you can use the UV light to sanitise the nozzles as explained above.
