EN
must match the power socket. Do not modify the plug. Do not use any power adapters to adapt the plug to the socket. An unmodified plug, which matches the socket, reduces the risk of an electric shock.
A product with first class electrical insulation must always be connected to an outlet equipped with a protective conductor. The mains power supply should be equipped with a residual current fuse with a tripping current of 30 mA or less.
After each application, unplug the power cord from the power socket. Always disconnect the device from the power supply, if it is left unattended, and before putting it away, disassembling, or cleaning.
Do not leave the device unattended when it is connected to the power supply.
Do not overload the power cord. Do not use the power cord to carry the product, connect, or disconnect the plug from the power socket. Avoid any contact between the power cord and heat sources, oil, sharp edges, and moving parts.
Damage to the power cord increases the risk of an electric shock. If the power cord is damaged (e.g. it is cut, its insulation is melted), immediately unplug it from the wall socket, and return it to an authorised service facility. It is not allowed to use the product with a damaged power cord. It is not allowed to have the power cord repaired. It must be changed for a new one at an authorized service centre.
Disconnect the power cord from the power socket, before installing, removing, or adjusting any of the product accessories.
Make sure that the selected accessory has been installed correctly, before starting the product.
Do not overload the product. The temperature of the housing must not exceed 60^ C. Overloading the product will accelerate its wear and tear, lead to its damaging, and increase the risk of an electric shock.
The product must be kept under supervision at all times during operation.
The product is not to be used by children. Keep the product and its power cord out of the reach of children. It is important to ensure that children do not see the product as a toy.
Children should not be allowed to clean or maintain the product without the supervision of an adult.
Keep the device out of reach of children if it is powered or is cooling down.
This product cannot be used by people with impaired physical and/or mental abilities, and by people without any experience in or understanding of the operation of the product, unless they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the product, so that they understand the relevant operating risks.
PRODUCT OPERATION
Preparing the appliance for operation
Caution! All actions described in this section must be carried out with the product unplugged. Make sure that the power cord has been unplugged from the socket.
The tip of the product should be completely cooled down.
Bend the central part of the stand upwards so that the arms of the bent part allowed the device to be positioned. Place the device so that the arms are between the housing, the metal ring on the heating element cover and the tip is directed upwards (II).
The base has two holes that allow it to be mounted to the surface, e.g. by means of screws.
Select one of the tips to be used for your application. The silver tip is used for soldering with solder, and the gold tip is used for pyrography.
The tip must be screwed into the opening at the end of the heating element cover (III) as far as possible. Tighten the tip without tools, e.g. pliers. The pliers can damage the surface of the tip.
EN
Switching the device on and off
Caution! The device does not have a separate switch. As soon as the power cord plug is plugged into the mains socket, heating will start and then, when the rated temperature is reached, its self-sustaining. Heating does not stop until the power cord plug has been disconnected from the mains socket.
Therefore, the device with the tip attached should be placed on a base so that the tip and the cover of the heating element do not come into contact with any object and are not in the vicinity of flammable material. A distance of at least 10 cm must be kept from the tip and the heating element cover. The base should be placed on non-infl ammable surface.
Warning! The tip and the heating element cover are very hot. They can cause severe burns when in contact with skin. Avoid contact between both these parts and accidental objects, high temperatures can damage them and cause fire.
Plug the power cord into the socket and wait until the tip has reached the rated temperature. The heating time depends on the type and size of the attached tip.
Operation as a soldering iron
Before soldering, thoroughly clean the metal parts to be soldered as well as the soldering iron tip. Replace the tip when excessively worn. Before soldering, clean the surfaces to be soldered of all impurities, especially grease. Select a soldering iron with the power corresponding to the type of work to be performed. Power 20-30 W: soldering of components on integrated circuit boards, soldering of small electronic components. Power 40-60 W: soldering of electronic and electrical components (e.g. switches, contacts). Power 80-100 W: if more power is required for soldering the components. Make sure that the tip is clean and securely attached to the soldering iron slot. Place the soldering iron on the base and then connect it to the mains. Wait for the tip to reach the required temperature.
Begin soldering with flux and solder (soldering tin). Apply the tip only to the points to be connected. The solder should flow down from the tip to the weld when it has reached the correct temperature. After finishing work and when the device is not in use, place it on the base.
Operation as a pyrography pen
Wood should be dry and free of flaws, e.g. knots. Do not use the pyrography pen for wood-based materials, e.g. MDF boards, laminated boards. Different types of wood may require different contact times with the tip and different pressures. The surface of the wood should be cleaned of paint, varnish, resin and dirt. It is recommended to wipe the wood surface with fine sandpaper before starting the pyrography. It is recommended to test the pyrography on waste material. This will allow you to select the speed of the tip guide on the wood and the pressure needed to achieve the desired effects. The tip should be guided in a smooth motion, avoiding stopping and prolonged contact. Otherwise, the burn areas may have different surfaces. Excessively long contact between the tip and the wood may result in its burning or burning through. When using a conical tip, you can use a template, attached or otherwise made of metal, for the pyrography of letters, numbers or other symbols. Do not use templates made of wood or plastic. After finishing work and when the device is not in use, place it on the base.
Cooling and tip replacement
Should it be necessary to replace the tip during operation, put the device on the base, disconnect the power cord plug from the socket and wait for the tip and the heating element cover to cool down completely by themselves. Do not accelerate cooling, e.g. by immersing the tip and/or the heating element cover in water or other liquid.
EN
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
After use, put the device on the base, disconnect from the power supply by pulling out the power cord plug and wait until it has cooled down completely. Clean the housing of the unit with a slightly damp cloth, then dry or leave to dry. Never immerse the device in water or other liquids. Do not use alcohol, solvents, corrosive or abrasive agents for cleaning. Clean the tips with fine sandpaper.
Store the product in dry, shaded and well ventilated places. The place of storage should protect the device from access by unauthorised persons, especially children. It is recommended to store the product in the packaging it was delivered in.
