Intended use

The fan is designed exclusively for ventilating dry rooms.

It is intended for private use only and is not suitable for commercial use.

Only use the fan as described in this operating manual.

1. Use this device only in accordance with the guidelines in the operating instructions. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer could result in fire, electric shock, or personal injury.
2. Remove the packaging and ensure that the device is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the device and contact the service center or your dealer.
3. Keep children away from packaging materials. If swallowed, there is a risk of suffocation!
4. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service center to avoid any possible risks.
5. Before connecting to the mains, you must check that the type of current and mains voltage correspond to the information on the device type label.
6. The electrical outlet you use to connect the device must not be defective or loose and must be suitable for the required current load and, above all, reliably grounded.

1. Avoid using an extension cord. If unavoidable, use only tested, grounded extension cords with sufficient cross-section. The cord must be completely unrolled to prevent overheating and fire.
2. It is prohibited to alter or modify the characteristics of this device. Only use replacement parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer. Failure to comply will void the warranty and guarantee.
3. If the device is defective, switch it off immediately and contact your dealer or customer service hotline.
4. For any repairs to the device, the power plug, or the cable, always and exclusively contact customer service centers authorized by the manufacturer. The contact details can be found at www.becool.at.
5. Children under 8 years of age and persons with limited physical, mental, sensory, or intellectual abilities may only use this device under appropriate supervision and after receiving detailed instructions on its safe use.
6. Do not operate the device unattended. Always switch off the device if you leave the room.
7. Children must not play with the device.
8. Do not twist or kink the power cord. Make sure that it is completely unrolled and not wound up.
9. Do not use the device with wet hands. Do not touch the plug with wet hands.

1. Do not use the device outdoors. Also, never place the device near heat sources such as radiators, ovens, or open flames.

2. Never operate the device in rooms where gas, oil, or sulfur are present.

3. Do not use the device near water or high humidity, e.g., in damp basements, next to swimming pools, bathtub, or showers. Make sure that no water gets into the device.

4. Do not place any objects on the device and do not use it to dry clothes or textiles.

5. Place the device on a stable and level surface and keep a distance of at least 1 meter around it so that air circulation is not impeded.

6. Never cover the device.

7. Never insert fingers, pens, or other objects into the device and ensure that the air inlet and outlet are never blocked. Also, keep hair and loose clothing away to avoid injury.

8. Always switch off the device before unplugging the power cord.

9. Never pull on the power cord to disconnect the device from the mains. Always pull on the plug.

10. Do not touch the plug with wet hands to avoid electric shock.

11. Unplug the device when not in use, before cleaning, servicing, or moving it to another location.

1. Clean the device only with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents and never immerse the device in water.
2. Do not store or operate the device in enclosed spaces such as cabinets or narrow niches, as there is a risk of fire.
3. Store the device in a safe, dry place out of the reach of children when not in use.

Recycling, disposal, declaration of conformity

	RECYCLING The packaging materials can be recycled. It is therefore recommended that they be disposed of in sorted waste.
	DISPOSAL The symbol "crossed-out wheelie bin" requires the separate disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Electrical and electronic equipment may contain hazardous and environmentally harmful substances. Therefore, do not dispose of it in unsorted residual waste, but at a designated collection point for waste electrical and electronic equipment. In this way, you contribute to the protection of resources and the environment. For further information, please contact your dealer or local authorities. Directive 2012/19/EU
	BATTERY DISPOSAL In accordance with Legislative Decree 188 of November 20, 2008, implementing Directive 2006/66/EC on batteries, accumulators, and related waste, the symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin on the battery indicates that it is prohibited to dispose of used batteries in household waste. Batteries and accumulators contain substances that are highly harmful to the environment. Users are required to dispose of used batteries at municipal collection points or in the appropriate containers. This service is free of charge. This ensures compliance with legal requirements and protects the environment. Description of the device

Preparation

Open the packaging and remove all parts. Please check that the housing is in perfect condition and that there are no visible defects.

Use the product on a horizontal surface and do not place it at an angle or upside down. Before use, check that the power supply matches the product's type label.

When the plug is connected to the power supply, the product emits a sound indicating that it is connected to the power supply. The device is then ready for use.

Remote control

The button assignments on the remote control correspond exactly to the functions of the buttons on the control panel of the main unit. The device can be operated by pointing the front end of the remote control at the infrared receiver window of the main unit and pressing the buttons. If the infrared signal is blocked by an object, the device cannot be controlled remotely.

Preparing the remote control - inserting or replacing the battery

Please note the following instructions:

Initial use:

To use the remote control for the first time, please remove the plastic cover from the battery compartment on the side of the remote control.

Changing the battery:

Pull out the battery holder on the side of the remote control and remove the old battery from the holder:

Now insert a new CR2032 battery, paying attention to the polarity markings (+/-) on the battery and the battery holder.

Then push the battery holder back into the remote control.

Note: If you do not use the remote control for a long period of time (4 weeks or longer), remove the batteries from the remote control.

Correct use of the remote control

Point the remote control directly at the front of the device and make sure there are no obstacles between the remote control and the device.

NOTE: Please handle the remote control with care. Do not expose it to

direct sunlight and keep it away from heat sources.

Function

Switching on/off

Press the " button on the control panel or the "ON" button on the remote control to switch on the fan.

The fan will automatically start at speed level 6.

Press the button again to turn the fan off.

Speed settings

The fan has a total of 12 speed settings.

• Increasing the speed: When the fan is switched on, press the "+" button on the control panel or the "▲" button on the remote control to increase the speed.
• Decreasing the speed: Press the " " button on the control panel or the "▼ button on the remote control to decrease the speed.

Timer

The fan is equipped with a 12-hour timer.

• Press the " " button on the control panel or remote control repeatedly to set the desired operating time.
  Each press increases the running time by 1 hour (from 1 hour, 2 hours, ... up to a maximum of 12 hours).

After the set time has elapsed, the fan switches off automatically and goes into standby mode.

Note: To operate the fan without a time limit, set the timer to "0".

Oscillation

Press the button on the device or the button on the remote control to activate the oscillation function.

Press the button again to stop the oscillation function.

Wind modes

Press the " " button to select the desired wind mode (normal wind, natural wind, and sleep mode).

H13 HEPA filter and dust protection filter

The fan is equipped with an H13 HEPA filter. This high-performance filter removes at least 99.95% of all airborne particles, including fine dust, pollen, mold spores, and many bacteria and aerosols. This makes the air blown out particularly clean and free of suspended particles.

Replacing the HEPA filter + cleaning the dust protection grille:

• First, open and remove the air inlet grilles.
• Remove the old HEPA filter and insert a new one.
• If you want to clean the dust protection grille, loosen the screws, remove the grille, and clean it. Avoid direct sunlight and allow it to dry completely in a well-ventilated place. Then reinsert it and tighten the screws.
• Finally, reinsert the HEPA filter and air intake grilles in the correct order.

Note: Each product contains two dust protection grilles and two HEPA filters. HEPA filters must be replaced and cannot be cleaned. Dust protection grilles can be cleaned.

Note: The H13 HEPA filter should be replaced every 6-12 months, depending on usage and environment. More frequent replacement may be necessary in areas with high dust or pollen levels. Always replace visibly damaged or heavily soiled filters immediately.

Cleaning

Switch off the device and unplug the power cord. Allow the device to cool down briefly if necessary.

• Unplug the power cord: Before cleaning, switch off the device and unplug the power cord; allow the device to cool down briefly if necessary.
• Cleaning the housing: Wipe the outer surfaces with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth. Use a mild, neutral cleaner if necessary.
• Drying: Wipe with a dry, lint-free cloth. Before using again, make sure the device is completely dry.
• Dust the air vents: Carefully clean the inlet and outlet vents with a soft brush or dust cloth. Do not insert any hard objects.
• Prolonged non-use: Store the device in a dry, dust-free place and, if possible, cover it with a protective cover to prevent dust from entering.
• Avoid at all costs: Do not use aggressive, abrasive, or solvent-based cleaning agents; do not rinse the device with water, do not immerse it, and do not use steam or high-pressure cleaners.
• No internal cleaning: Do not open the device; maintenance work inside the device may only be carried out by authorized service personnel.

WARRANTY

With this quality product from BE COOL, you have made a choice for innovation, durability, and reliability.

We provide a 2-year warranty for this BE COOL device, valid in Austria from the date of purchase! If, contrary to expectations, your device requires servicing during this period, we hereby guarantee free repair (spare parts and labor) or (at the discretion of Schuss) replacement of the product. If neither repair nor replacement is possible for economic reasons, we reserve the right to issue a credit note for the current value.

In the case of air conditioners, please contact the customer hotline (see sticker on the device or cover page of the instruction manual) as a first step. For fans, please contact your dealer or us directly. Please note that repair work not carried out by an authorized repair shop in Austria will immediately void this warranty.

This warranty does not cover:

We do not accept liability for consequential damage resulting from improper use.
Repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear.
- Damage due to failure to follow the operating instructions.
Devices that are used commercially, even if only partially.
Devices that have been mechanically damaged by external influences (falls, impacts, breakage, improper use, etc.) as well as signs of wear and tear of an aesthetic nature.
Devices that have been handled improperly
Devices that have not been opened by our authorized service workshop.
- Damage caused by improperly closed condensation drain valves on air conditioning units or incorrectly installed water containers.
- Unmet consumer expectations.
- Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning, or power surges.
Devices on which the type designation and/or serial number has been changed, deleted, made illegible, or removed.
Services outside our authorized repair shops, transport costs to an authorized repair shop or to us and back, and the associated risks.

We expressly point out that within the warranty period, a flat fee of €60 (indexed based on CPI 2010, June 2015) will be charged in the event of operating errors or if no fault is found.

The provision of warranty service (repair or replacement of the device) does not extend the absolute warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

The 2-year warranty is only valid upon presentation of the proof of purchase (must include the name and address of the dealer and the complete device description) and the corresponding warranty certificate, on which the device type and serial number (visible on the box and on the back or bottom of the device) must be noted! Without presentation of the warranty certificate, only the statutory warranty applies!

We expressly point out that the statutory warranty rights are not affected by this warranty and remain in full force and effect. Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its vicarious agents shall only be liable for damages in cases of gross negligence or intent. In any case, liability for lost profits, expected but unrealized savings, consequential damages, and damages arising from third-party claims is excluded. Damage to or for recorded data is always excluded from the liability for damages.
