How to start the steam cleaner?

What type of water to use?

Use ordinary tap water. If the water is very hard, mix it with equal parts demineralized water to reduce scale. Never use pure distilled water, as it can damage the boiler.

How to clean the nozzles and accessories?

After use, let the accessories cool down, then rinse them with clear water. For clogged nozzles, use a fine needle to unblock the holes. Do not wash them in the dishwasher.

What to do if steam is weak or absent?

Check that the water tank is full and that the appliance has had time to heat up. If the problem persists, descale the boiler (see next question). In case of total absence of steam, contact customer service.

How to descale the appliance?

Fill the tank with a mixture of water and white vinegar (50/50) or a special descaling agent. Heat the appliance, then trigger the steam in bursts until the liquid is exhausted. Then rinse with clear water. Repeat the operation every 3 months depending on water hardness.

Can I use chemicals or detergents?

No, do not add any chemicals, detergents, fragrances, or anti-scale agents to the tank. Only water is allowed. Using additives may damage the appliance and void the warranty.

1.1 - INTRODUCTION

WARNING:

Before using the appliance, please read this manual and the “Operation and Maintenance” manual supplied with the machine carefully.

This manual and the “Operation and Maintenance” manual form an integral part of the machine itself. They must therefore be kept in a safe place where they are accessible to all users (operators and maintenance personnel) throughout the life of the machine until it is scrapped.

1.1.a - Purpose of the manual

The purpose of the manual is to provide the instructions necessary for putting into service, using and maintaining the machine with which it is enclosed.

It is advisable to read the instructions carefully and comply with the safety standards described in the manual to the letter.

The non-observance of these instructions/standards may cause damage to the machine and injury to the operator for which under no circumstances is the manufacturer responsible.

The safety information described in the manual supplements and DOES NOT REPLACE standards in force in the country in which the machine is used.

1.2 - GENERAL WARNINGS

• Plastic bags, polystyrene, paper clips, etc. must not be left within the reach of children, as these are potential sources of danger.
• Ensure that the voltage matches that indicated on the data plate before turning the appliance on.
• To unplug the appliance from the socket, pull the plug itself and NOT the cable.
• Unwind the entire power cable when using the appliance.
• Solely approved extension cables can be used. These must be adequate for the power of the appliance and must also be in good condition.
• Do not use the appliance if either the plug or power cable is not in good condition.
• If the power cable is damaged, this can only be replaced by a technical support centre that is authorised by the manufacturer.
