● Before using for the first time
- Select the baking temperature and time
The pizza oven is specially designed to bake pizzas at high temperatures.
Traditional household ovens normally work at far lower temperatures, so there are no precise baking instructions for pre-prepared pizzas, just approximations that are different between producers.
Baking at high temperatures means that the dough is cooked quicker and less water evaporates as a result. This makes the pizza softer and fluffier than is usually the case. If a crispier pizza is desired, then bake at a lower temperature for longer, as per the producer's instructions.
● Just before first use
Place the pizza stone 8 on the product's lower housing 3.
☐ Insert the plug into a mains outlet.
Note: Place the pizza stone 8 on the product's lower housing 3.
Preheating:
☐ Switching on: Turn the controller 6 to the 1 - 15.
☐ Switching off: Turn the controller 6 to the 0.
☐ Switch on the pizza oven by turning the controller 6 to preheat for 10 minutes. The operating and temperature control light 5 lights up green, which means it is switched on.
☐ Set the temperature control 4 to the maximum temperature. The operating and temperature control light 5 lights up red, which means it is heating up.
Note: There may be a little smoke or a mild smell when you turn the pizza oven on the first time; this is the result of residues left during production. This is normal and not at all dangerous. Make sure there is sufficient ventilation, by opening a window for example.
☐ An audible signal is emitted when preheating period is finished, then the operating and temperature control light 5 goes out.
Baking the pizza:
Note: Pizzas should be no larger than the pizza stone 8. Homemade pizzas should be smaller as this makes handling much easier. Cooking times will vary depending on the type and thickness of the dough base, pizza toppings and individual preferences.
- Frozenpizza: Cook for 5 minutes at maximum temperature or follow the packaging instructions.
- Fresh pizza (from the refrigerated section): Cook for 5 minutes at maximum temperature or follow the packaging instructions.
- Homemadepizza: Follow the recipe instructions or set a cooking time of 5 minutes, as with fresh pizzas.
Open the cover 1 using the handle 2. Use the pizza shovels 9 to put the pizza onto the pizza stone 8.
Use the pizza shovels 9:
☐ The pizza shovels 9 are a tool for getting the pizzas into and out of the oven.
To put a pizza in the oven, take a pizza shovel 9 in each hand and shuffle them underneath the dough, carefully manoeuvring the pizza shovels 9 beneath the base of the pizza then lifting it onto the pizza stone 8. Carefully pull the pizza shovels 9 out and away once it is in position on the pizza stone.
Note: Sprinkling the dough and the pizza shovels 9 with flour will help the pizza base slide off easily.

CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS DUE TO
HOT SURFACES! Do not touch the pizza stone 8 with your hands as it is extremely hot.
Note: Make sure that the pizza does not touch the heating coil 7. The topping should always be lower than the uppermost heating coil 7. Otherwise there is a risk that the pizza or the topping may be burnt.
Note: To prevent smoke or odours, do not allow the hot pizza stone 8 to come into contact with oils, sauces or cheese.
Place the topping on the pizza before putting it in the oven, making sure it does not overflow.
☐ Close the cover 1 using the handle 2. Turn the controller 6 to the desired cooking time.
☐ Turn the temperature control 4 to the desired temperature.
Note: You can open the cover 1 to check progress, but should avoid doing so where possible as it leads to a heat loss from the pizza oven, meaning that the baking time must be extended.
☐ An audible signal is emitted when the baking time has elapsed, then the operating and temperature control light 5 goes out.
Note: If you want to stop baking early then turn the controller 6 anti-clockwise as far as it goes, then turn the temperature control 4 to the MIN position.
Open the cover 1 using the handle 2 and take the pizza off the pizza stone 8 using the pizza shovels 9.
☐ Remove the plug from the mains outlet. Note: The product is fitted with overheat protection. It only heats up if the timer and temperature settings have been set. The pizza oven stops heating after the set time has elapsed. Turn the temperature control 4 to the MIN position after use and remove the plug from the mains outlet.
Operating and temperature control light 5 colours:
Green light: Power supply is switched on; the timer is set. Pre-heating is complete, the product is ready to use, and the pizza can be cooked.
Red light: Power supply is switched on; the temperature and timer are set. The product is heating up.
No light: The timer has elapsed; the product has turned itself off.
● Cleaning and care
WARNING! DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Always
remove the plug from the power socket before cleaning the product!
- Allow the product and pizza stone to fully and slowly cool down to room temperature.
☐ Wipe the product housing with a slightly damp cloth. Use a little detergent.
Leave the pizza stone 8 in the oven and use a scrubbing brush or a plastic scraper to carefully remove dirt from the pizza stone 8. Wipe down the pizza stone 8 with a slightly damp cloth (not wet). If necessary, remove the pizza stone 8 when it has cooled down.
☐ Allow the pizza stone to slowly cool down before cleaning. Never immerse the product in water when it is hot. This may cause cracking.
□ Not suitable for dishwashers.
☐ Do not allow the pizza stone to soak in rinse water as it absorbs and stores water. Otherwise there is a risk of cracking and breaking during the heating process.
☐ The pizza shovels 9 should also be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth and a little detergent. The spatulas can be ruined by immersion in water or washing them in the dishwasher.
☐ Then allow all parts to dry completely.
Notes about the pizza stone 8 :
Do not allow it to come into contact with water and other liquids. It may cause cracks in the pizza stone 8 and destroy it.
Do not soak the pizza stone 8 in water and do not rinse it either as it absorbs and stores water. Otherwise, there is a risk that the pizza stone 8 cracks or breaks upon heating.
Do not use any chemical substances or solvents on the pizza stone 8, as the stone can absorb these. This can have an adverse effect on the taste of the pizza.
Do not use any knives, pizza cutters or other sharp tools on the pizza stone 8.
The pizza stone 8 changes colour over time due to heat and the ingredients used, such as sauces and sugar. This has no effect on hygiene or baking results. If it is very heavily soiled then use fine sandpaper and a soft brush to remove stains.
