We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.

Intended use

This product is intended for circulating air.
The product may only be used in dry indoor areas.
■ Any other use not mentioned in this user manual may cause a damage to the product or create a serious risk of injury.
This product is only intended for private household use, not for commercial purposes.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages caused by improper use.

suffocation! Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material.

The packaging material represents a danger of suffocation. Children frequently underestimate the dangers. Always keep children away from the packaging material.

This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Safety instructions for batteries/rechargeable batteries

⚠️ DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.

DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge

non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result.

■ Never throw batteries/rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
- Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries/rechargeable batteries.

Risk of leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries

• Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries/rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators/direct sunlight.
  If batteries/rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!

WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or

damaged batteries/ rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin.

Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.

In the event of a leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries, immediately remove them from the product to prevent damage.
■ Remove batteries/rechargeable batteries if the product will not be used for a longer period.
■ Never short-circuit batteries, always pay attention to the correct polarity.

Risk of damage of the product

■ Only use the specified type of battery/rechargeable battery!
Insert batteries/rechargeable batteries according to polarity marks (+) and (−) on the battery/rechargeable battery and the product.

Use a dry lint-free cloth or cotton swab to clean the contacts on the battery/rechargeable battery and in the battery compartment before inserting!
■ Remove exhausted batteries/rechargeable batteries from the product immediately and safely dispose of them.

Notes for coin/button cell batteries

not ingest the battery, chemical burn hazard.

ATTENTION! Contains swallowable button cells! Danger of suffocation!

KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN!

Swallowing batteries can cause chemical burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns may occur within 2 hours of swallowing batteries.

Seek immediate medical attention.

⚠ WARNING! Dispose of used batteries immediately. Keep new and used batteries away from children. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

This product contains a coin/button cell battery. If a coin/button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns and perforation of soft tissue in just 2 hours and can lead to death.

Keep new and used batteries away from children.

If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.

If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion. Seek medical attention immediately.

Non-obvious symptoms that might occur because of battery ingestion

Unfortunately, it is not obvious when a button or coin battery is stuck in a child's oesophagus (food pipe).

There are no specific symptoms associated with this. The child might:

• cough, gag or drool a lot;
  • appear to have a stomach upset or a virus;

- feel sick;

• point to their throat or stomach;
  • have a pain in their abdomen, chest or throat;
• be tired or lethargic;
• be quieter or more clingy than usual or otherwise "not themselves";
• lose their appetite or have a reduced appetite; and
  • not want to eat solid food/be unable to eat solid food.

These sorts of symptoms vary or fluctuate, with the pain increasing and then subsiding. A specific symptom to button and coin battery ingestion is vomiting fresh (bright red) blood. If the child does this seek immediate medical help.
The lack of clear symptoms is why it is important to be vigilant with "flat" or spare button or coin batteries in the home and the products that contain them.

Before use

Unpacking

① INFO: The remote control 8 is stored in the storage compartment 7 on the back of the motor unit 6 (Fig. A).

1. Remove the packaging material.

2. Check if all parts are complete (see "Scope of delivery").

3. Check if the product is damaged.

- Inserting/replacing the button cell

(Fig. D)

i INFO:

For first time use: The button cell (type CR2025) is pre-installed inside the remote control 8. Pull out the insulation strip from the button cell holder 39.
- Replace the button cell if the product no longer responds to commands from the remote control 8.

1. Insert a needle (not included) into the small hole right next to the button cell holder 39 on the back of the remote control 8.
2. Push the needle down. The button cell holder 39 slides out.
3. Remove the exhausted button cell.
4. Insert a new button cell (type CR2025) into the button cell holder 39. The + polarity marking must point upwards.
5. Slide the button cell holder 39 back into the remote control 8.

Assembly

■ Number of persons needed for assembly: 1 adult

Pull out the extendible pole 13 to the desired height. Fasten the locking ring.

G	1. Place the cable winder 10 onto the recessed hole below the storage compartment 7.2. Fix the cable winder 10 to the motor unit 6 by tightening the screw 9 with a Phillips screwdriver (not included).
H	Loosen the grille lock nut 4: Turn the grille lock nut in counter-clockwise direction.Place the rear grille 5 on the motor shaft 6a.Place the grille lock nut 4 on the rear grille 5.Fasten the grille lock nut 4: Turn the grille lock nut in clockwise direction.
I	Place the blade 3 on the grille lock nut 4.Place the blade lock nut 2 on the blade 3.Fasten the blade lock nut 2: Turn the blade lock nut in counter-clockwise direction.Remove the screw 20 and the nut 21 from the front grille 1.Flip the 4 clips on the front grille 1 upwards.
J	Place the front grille 1 on the rear grille 5.Insert the screw 20 into the hole at the bottom of the front grille 1.Tighten the screw 20 with the nut 21.Flip the 4 clips on the front grille 1 downwards over the frame of the rear grille 5.

Operation

☐ Place the product on a flat, stable ground.
□ Connect the mains plug 11 to a suitable mains socket.
□ Switching on the product: Press ⏻2334.

Timer

i INFO: The product can be programmed to switch off automatically after an operating time of 1 to 10 hours.

☐ Press ☒ 25 37 repeatedly to set the length of time after which the product should switch off automatically.
☐ The set time is indicated by a combination of the 4 indicators for the timer setting 27:

Example: The timer is set to 8 hours if the indicators 1H, 3H and 4H light up simultaneously.

□ Switching off the timer: Press ☒ 25 37 repeatedly until all 4 indicators for the timer setting 27 go out.

● Cleaning and care

⚠ WARNING! Risk of electric shock!

Do not immerse the electrical parts of the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.

Do not allow water or other liquids to enter the motor unit 6.

Before cleaning: Remove the mains plug 11 from the mains socket.

☐ Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning solutions or hard brushes for cleaning.

Storage

☐ Wind the mains cord 11 onto the cable winder 10.

☐ Remove the button cell from the remote control 8 when not in use for a longer period of time (see "Inserting/replacing the button cell").

☐ Store the product in a dry, secure location away from children.

● Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1-7: plastics/20-22: paper and fibreboard/80-98: composite materials.

Product:

The product incl. accessories and packaging materials are recyclable and are subject to extended producer responsibility. Dispose them separately, following the illustrated Info-tri (sorting information), for better waste treatment.

The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.

Faulty or used batteries/rechargeable batteries must be recycled. Return the batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries/rechargeable batteries!

Remove the batteries/battery pack from the product before disposal.

Batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries/rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of material or manufacturing defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Keep the original sales receipt in a safe location as this document is required as proof of purchase.

Any damage or defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product.

Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of

purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.

This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.

● Warranty claim procedure

To ensure quick processing of your claim, observe the following instructions:

Make sure to have the original sales receipt and the item number (IAN 472105_2407) available as proof of purchase.

You can find the item number on the rating plate, an engraving on the product, on the front page of the instruction manual (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.

If functional or other defects occur, contact the service department listed below either by telephone or by e-mail.

Once the product has been recorded as defective you can return it free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure to enclose the proof of purchase (sales receipt) and a short, written description outlining the details of the defect and when it occurred.
