How to turn on the hob and adjust the power?
Press the On/Off button. Select the desired cooking zone, then adjust the level with the + and - buttons. The range goes from 1 (minimum) to 9 (maximum).
How to use the timer?
Select the cooking zone, press the Timer button, set the time (up to 99 minutes) with + and -. The countdown starts automatically. The zone turns off at the end of the time.
What does the 'H' display mean?
'H' indicates residual heat: the surface is still hot (>60°C). Do not touch it. The indicator disappears when the hob has cooled down.
How to lock the controls for child safety?
Press the lock button (padlock) to activate the child lock. The buttons are then inactive except for the On/Off button. To unlock, press again for 3 seconds.

Installation

Selection of installation equipment

Cut out the work surface according to the sizes shown in the drawing.

For the purpose of installation and use, a minimum of 5 cm space shall be preserved around the hole. Be sure the thickness of the work surface is at least 30 mm. Please select heat-resistant work surface material to avoid larger deformation caused by the heat radiation from the hotplate. As shown below:

Before you install the hob, make sure that:

  • The work surface is square and level, and no structural members interfere with space requirements.
  • The work surface is made of a heat-resistant material
  • If the hob is installed above an oven, the oven has a built-in cooking fan.
  • The installation will comply with all clearance requirements and applicable standards and regulations
  • A suitable isolating switch providing full disconnection from the mains power supply is incorporated in the permanent wiring, mounted and positioned to comply with the local wiring rules and regulations.
  • The isolating switch must be of an approved type and provide a 3 mm air gap contact a separation in all poles (or in all active conductors if the local wiring rules allow for this variation of the requirements).
  • The isolating switch will be easily accessible to the customer with the cooker installed
  • You consult local building authorities and by-laws if in doubt regarding installation
  • You use heat-resistant and easy-to-clean finishes (such as induction tiles) for the wall surfaces surrounding the hob.

When you have installed the hob, make sure that:

  • The power supply cable is not accessible through cupboard doors or drawers.
  • There is adequate flow of fresh air from outside the cabinetry to the base of the hob.
  • If the hob is installed above a drawer or cupboard space, a thermal protection barrier is installed below the base of the hob.
  • The isolating switch is easily accessible by the customer.

Cautions

  1. The hob must be installed by qualified personnel or technicians. We have professionals at your service. Please never conduct the operation by yourself.
  2. The hob will not be installed directly above a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine or clothes dryer, as the humidity may damage the hob electronics.
  3. The hob shall be installed such that better heat radiation can be ensured to enhance its reliability.
  4. The wall and induced heating zone above the table surface shall withstand heat.
  5. To avoid any damage, the sandwich layer and adhesive must be resistant to heat.

CONNECTION OF THE CERAMIC HOB TO THE ELECTRICITY SOCKET.

Before connecting the hob to the mains, check that:

  1. The electrical installation where the hob is to be connected must be suitable for the power consumed by the hob.
  2. The voltage must correspond to the nominal value specified in the characteristics described in this manual.

To connect the hob to the mains socket, you must not use adapters, reducers, or branches, as these devices can become hot and cause a fire.

The power cable of the hob must not touch any part or area where it acquires high temperatures and must be positioned so that the temperature will not exceed 75°C at any point.

Check with a licensed and qualified electrician for proper electrical installation.

Any modification to the electrical installation must only be carried out by a licensed electrician.

The electrical connection of the hob must be carried out in accordance with current regulations and protected by a single-pole magnetothermic or automatic switch.

If the cable is damaged, to be substituted or replaced, the operation must be carried out by Technical Service.

  • The authorized installer must ensure that the correct electrical connection has been made and that it complies with safety regulations.
  • The cable must not be bent or compressed.
  • The cable should be checked regularly and replaced only by authorized technicians.
  • The manufacturer is not responsible for any accident resulting from the use of an appliance that is not grounded or from faulty grounding continuity.
  • If the device has an electrical outlet, it must be installed so that the electrical outlet is accessible.
