INSTALLATION GUIDE:

Prior to installation:

1. Power off the engine.
2. Find the battery compartment.
3. Disconnect the battery cables by removing the negative terminal first followed by the positive terminal.
4. Secure the hawse/roller fairlead (sold separately) to the mount with M10-15 carriage bolts and nuts. Refer to Fig1 for guidance.

OPTIONS: For Warn RT/XT Series winches, we advise connecting the power now. Determining whether your battery is mounted at the front or rear will ensure you use the appropriate wire length (shorter or longer) when routing them to the winch.

WINCH TO MOUNT:

1. Secure the winch to the mount using the provided hardware. Note: Ensure there is sufficient space for the winch leads. If needed, adjust lead orientation to achieve proper clearance. (Consult the winch manufacturer if unsure.)
2. Thread the winch cable through the fairlead.
3. Connect the hook. (Continued on the back.)

VEHICLE PREPARATION:

1. If needed, detach the front brush guards. 2. Front Plastic Removal:

For 550/850 XP models: Take out bolts and plastic as illustrated in Fig. Loosen the bolts indicated in the figure.

Adjust the metal cover to create space for the winch assembly. Alternatively, you may remove the cover (shown in Fig 3) by detaching the upper hard.

INSTALLATION STEPS:

1. Position the winch assembly (including the winch, mount, and fairlead) as illustrated in Fig 4. For 550/850 XP models, refer to Figure 4.1, and for 400/500/800 models, see Fig 4.2. (Note: Fig 4 omits the mounting brace for better clarity.)
2. Secure the assembly using the provided M8 hardware.
3. Ensure proper wiring by adhering to the winch manufacturer's guidelines.
