Use the supplied stop collar. Place it on the drill bit at distance L1 corresponding to the board thickness. Drill until the collar touches the jig.

Which drill bits to use with this jig?

The jig comes with specific conical point drill bits. Do not use other drill bits to avoid damaging the guide.

How to fix the jig to the board?

Use the included clamping pliers. Adjust the opening with the bolt so it is slightly less than the total thickness of the board and support. Press the trigger to clamp.

What to do if the hole has burrs?

This is often caused by too slow rotation speed. Increase the speed of your screwdriver. Also check that the drill bit is sharp.

How to maintain the jig?

After use, wipe anti-rust oil on the drill bits and metal parts. Store in a dry place.

Which screws to use?

The jig comes with 50 screws. Use conical head screws suitable for your board thickness. The length must be sufficient to assemble the two pieces.

Assembly and Use

1. Adjustable Thickness Setting

Measure the thickness of your board.

You can quickly adjust the location of the slider according to the thickness of the board.

2. Quick Fixture

Adjust the opening size of the pliers by the bolt (slightly less than the thickness of the plate and fixture combined). Pulling the trigger causes the clamp to be fixed.

3. Adjust the depth of the hole

The stop collar is locked on the drill bits at a position equal to L1 as shown.

4. Drill hole

Drill depth of hole until the brake ring stops.

Note that the direction of drilling force is parallel to the pilot hole. Continuous operation for a long time will lead to the pilot hole heating and to the disadvantage of lifetime.
