How to determine the hand of my door for installation?

Stand on the push side (the side where the door opens towards you). If the hinges are on the left, it's a left-hand door. If they're on the right, it's a right-hand door. Refer to the illustrations in the manual.

How to adjust the door closing speed?

Use the speed regulating valve located on the door closer body. Turn it clockwise to slow down, counterclockwise to speed up. Do not unscrew it completely to avoid leaks.

What tools are needed for installation?

A Phillips screwdriver is required. For precise adjustment, you can use a flathead screwdriver. It is recommended to work in pairs.

Can the door closer be mounted on a metal door?

Yes, the D300S comes with special screws for metal doors (M5x15). Use the screws corresponding to your door type.

What is the maximum door weight supported?

The door closer is designed for doors up to 150 lb (approx. 68 kg). Do not exceed this limit.

How to install the door closer in push side configuration?

Attach the door closer body to the frame (hinge side) and the arm to the door. Adjust the length of the forend so that it forms a right angle with the frame. See instructions for left or right door.

What to do if the door closes too slowly or too fast?

Adjust the speed valves: turn the closing speed valve to adjust the general speed. For the final latching, use the latch speed valve. Test after each adjustment.

Does the door closer make noise?

A slight operating noise is normal. If excessive noise occurs, check that all screws are tight and the arm is not bent. Lack of oil can also be the cause (contact after-sales service).

How to maintain the door closer?

Regularly inspect the condition of screws and arm. Clean with a soft dry cloth. Do not lubricate the adjustment valves.

1. Select degree of door. Use dimensions shown in chart and illustration above to mark location of attaching screws on door and frame holes.
2. Assemble main arm to closer.
3. Attach closer to door with speed regulating valves toward hinge.
4. Attach the foot of the forearm to frame.
5. Adjust length of forearm to position forearm at right angle to when connected to main arm at elbow use washer and screw secure pivot connection. Tighten lock nut on forearm.
6. Snap pinion cap over spindle at bottom of closer.
7. Standard installation position of arms and index setting

CLOSING SPEED CONTROL

Attention:

Adjust closing speed time to between 4-6 seconds from 90° for use of the door by handicapped, elderly, or small children may require longer closing time.
