How to install the Vevor 20185-AC door handle?

Follow the steps in the manual: mark the door using the template, drill holes of Φ54 mm and Φ25 mm, then cut out a base of 58x26x3 mm. Install the latch by adjusting the backset (60 or 70 mm). Mount the front handle, then the interior button by tightening the screws. Finally, install the strike plates on the door frame.

What door thickness is suitable?

The handle is designed for doors with thickness between 35 mm and 44 mm (1-3/8" to 1-3/4").

How to adjust the latch to 60 or 70 mm?

To adjust the latch, push the cam completely to the right for a backset of 70 mm, or to the left for 60 mm. Make sure to always leave two teeth of the cam facing forward during adjustment.

What to do if the key doesn't turn or the cylinder is stiff?

Do not use oil. Add graphite powder (pencil powder) into the keyhole to lubricate the mechanism. If the problem persists, contact Vevor technical support.

How to clean the handle without damaging it?

Use a dry, soft cloth. Do not use chemical products like liquid detergent, as they would destroy the protective film and cause discoloration.

Can I install this handle on a metal door?

Yes, provided the thickness is within the compatible range (35-44 mm) and you can drill the necessary holes. For metal doors, use suitable drill bits.

Are screws provided?

Yes, the kit includes 8 screws as well as a pin, washer, and all necessary components for installation.

How to disassemble the handle once installed?

First remove the interior button by unscrewing the bottom screw. You can then access the pin and remove the front handle. For the latch, unscrew the strike plate and latch screws.

INSTALLATION

1. MARK DOOR & BORE HOLES (Please refer to the attached opening diagram.)

A: Fold the template over the edge of the door and mark the site (670 mm of holes). B: Bore the Φ54 mm and Φ25 mm holes through the door. C: Cut out a 58x26x3 mm base.

2. INSTALL THE LATCH

According to the site of lock holes, adjust the latch for 60mm or 70mm backset.

NOTE: The cam is pushed fully to the right for 70mm backset. (During adjustment, keep two teeth of the cam forward always.)

3. INSTALL EXTERIOR HANDLE MECHANISM

Place the front handle with stems and square spindle into the latch, as shown. Press tightly against the door face.

4. INSTALL THE INTERIOR KNOBS

After the front handle is in position, install the interior knob and tighten screws. Insert screw through washer and into bottom hole, tighten firmly.

5. INSTALL THE STRIKES

The locking bar is pressed down when the door is closed.

MAINTENANCE

1. Do not strike with force to avoid damage to the latch and door frame.
2. If there is dirt, use a dry cloth to remove it. Do not scrub with chemicals or dishwashing liquid. Otherwise, it will destroy the protective film of exposed parts and cause fading.
3. Periodically (half a year or once a year) or when the key is not smooth to insert and remove, graphite powder (pencil powder) can be added in the keyhole to lubricate.
