How to use the straightener on wet hair?

First, dry your hair with a towel to remove excess water. Hold the straightener with plates closed and direct the airflow toward the roots. Use the concentrator nozzle for faster drying. Take sections of about 3 cm and slide the straightener from roots to ends. Adjust temperature and speed according to the thickness and length of your hair.

How to adjust the temperature?

Press the temperature adjustment button (1) several times: one press = low (1 indicator), two = medium (2 indicators), three = high (3 indicators), four = Boost (last indicator flashes). Speed must be adjusted separately with the on/off button.

How to activate the cold air function?

Press the cold air button (2). The indicator lights up and the temperature indicators turn off. To exit this mode, press the same button or the temperature button again.

What to do if the device does not turn on?

Check that the outlet is powered and the plug is properly connected. Make sure the on/off switch (3) is in the on position (up). If the problem persists, contact Cecotec customer service.

How to clean the straightener?

Unplug the device and let it cool down. Clean the exterior with a damp cloth (not wet). Remove the air intake filter cover and brush it with a soft toothbrush. Never immerse the device in water.

How to store the device after use?

Let it cool completely. Lock the plates by sliding the lock button upward. Fold the cable as in the packaging, without wrapping it around the device. Store in a dry, safe place out of reach of children.

Can I use the straightener on artificial hair or animals?

No, the straightener is designed only for human hair. Do not use it on wigs or animals.

What does standby mode mean?

If the device remains still for about 8 seconds, it reduces the airflow and then turns off automatically. It reactivates as soon as you pick it up. This saves energy and prevents overheating.

What accessories are included?

The box contains a brush attachment and a concentrator nozzle. The instruction manual is also provided.

Is the device suitable for all hair types?

Yes, thanks to the 4 temperature levels (including Boost) and 2 speeds, you can adapt the setting: fine hair (low + low speed), thick hair (high/Boost + high speed). Always start with a low temperature.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the device if you need to transport it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
• Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance.

3. OPERATION

The settings you can select are:

• Speed settings: High-Low
• Temperature settings: Low-Medium-High-Boost (only available at High speed)
• Cold air mode

To select the desired speed, slide the Power/Speed switch (3) upwards:

• In the first position, the low speed will be activated.
• If you slide the switch again, the next position will activate the high speed.
• Sliding the switch down will turn the appliance off.

If you wish to select the desired temperature, press the temperature button (1) repeatedly according to the following indications:

• Pressing once selects the lowest temperature; one indicator light will switch on.
• Pressing twice selects the medium temperature; two indicator lights will switch on.
• Pressing three times selects the highest temperature, three indicator lights will switch on.
• Pressing a fourth time activates the Boost temperature, which is the highest of all temperature settings. In this case, the last indicator light will flash, and the previous

three indicator lights will remain fixed to indicate that this temperature is activated.

- When the cold air button (2) is pressed, the indicator light will light up and the temperature indicator lights will switch off.

Dry and straighten from wet

• Before using the appliance, towel dry your hair to remove excess moisture.
• Then, hold the appliance with the plates closed and direct the airflow towards the roots to dry them. If you wish, you can attach the concentrator nozzle to the appliance for faster drying.
• Adjust the temperature and airflow to suit your needs and dry the rest of the hair by placing about 3 cm strands between the plates and gliding the appliance from root to tip.

Recommended setting:

1. Short hair: medium temperature + low speed
2. Long hair: high temperature + high speed
3. Long, thick hair: Boost + high speed

- When you have finished using the appliance, switch it off by sliding the power switch downwards and unplug it from the mains socket.

Dry retouching

Adjust the temperature and airflow to suit your needs and glide the appliance, strand by strand, from root to tip.

Standby mode

If you leave the appliance on a surface and no movement is detected, the appliance will reduce the airflow until it switches off completely after about 8 seconds and enters standby mode. It will start up again when you resume operation.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the appliance from the mains and let it cool down completely before cleaning.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
• Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth (not wet). Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Remove the air inlet filter cover by pulling it off and use a soft toothbrush to remove dust and dirt from the rear filter. Replace the filter cover after cleaning.

Storage

• Allow the appliance to cool down completely before storing it.
• Lock the plates against damage by sliding the lock switch upwards.
• Once it has cooled down, bend the power cable as it came in the packaging. Do not wind the power cable around the appliance, as excessive tension may damage the cable.
• Store the appliance in a dry and safe place, out of the reach of children.
