Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.
- Ensure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the device rating label and that the plug is earthed.
- This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices
- If the device is to be used in a bathroom,
it must be unplugged from the wall socket after use, as the proximity to water could be a risk even with the device switched off.
- This symbol means that the appliance must not be used in bathtubs, showers, or any other water-filled tank.
- WARNING: do not use the appliance near bathtubs, showers, sinks, or other water-filled containers.
- Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the cable is damaged,
it must be replaced by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service to avoid any danger.

- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.
- Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid. Do not expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the device.
- The appliance must not come into
contact with flammable material. Also, it must not be used near flammable material.
- Do not use the appliance if the cable or any other part shows some kind of damage. If this is the case, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
- Keep all packaging materials away from children, as they may create a risk of suffocation.
- This appliance must be checked frequently for signs of wear or damage.
If the appliance shows visible signs of damage, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
- In case of defect or malfunction, turn off and disconnect the appliance immediately.
- Do not use accessories or parts that have not been provided by Cecotec
- Never grasp the appliance by or near the plates when turned on. The heat of the plates may cause serious burns. Avoid
contact with the skin and eyes.
- Do not carry the appliance if it is still hot.
- Do not leave the appliance unsupervised during operation.
- Do not use on pets or animals.
- Keep the appliance away from heat sources.
- The appliance may reach high temperatures during use. Avoid contact between the appliance and the face, neck, and scalp.
- Do not use outdoors or near aerosols.
- Do not cover the cable or the appliance
when operating. The power cable must not touch the hot parts of the appliance and must not pass through the plates of the hair straightener.
- Never wind the main cable around the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance if you applied foam, spray, or gel to your hair beforehand.
- Do not place the appliance directly over heat-sensitive surfaces whilst it is on or plugged into a power socket.
- Do not unplug or carry the appliance by
the cable.
- If the appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately. Do not reach into the water.
- Ensure that the air inlets and outlets are not blocked. If they are blocked, the appliance will activate the overheat protection system.
- Turn off and unplug the appliance after use.
- Do not use the appliance to dry wigs or fake hair.
- Supervise children to prevent them
from playing with the appliance. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by or near children.

2. BEFORE USE
- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the device if you need to transport it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
- Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance.

3. OPERATION
The settings you can select are:
- Speed settings: High-Low
- Temperature settings: Low-Medium-High-Boost (only available at High speed)
- Cold air mode
To select the desired speed, slide the Power/Speed switch (3) upwards:
- In the first position, the low speed will be activated.
- If you slide the switch again, the next position will activate the high speed.
- Sliding the switch down will turn the appliance off.
If you wish to select the desired temperature, press the temperature button (1) repeatedly according to the following indications:
- Pressing once selects the lowest temperature; one indicator light will switch on.
- Pressing twice selects the medium temperature; two indicator lights will switch on.
- Pressing three times selects the highest temperature, three indicator lights will switch on.
- Pressing a fourth time activates the Boost temperature, which is the highest of all temperature settings. In this case, the last indicator light will flash, and the previous

three indicator lights will remain fixed to indicate that this temperature is activated.
- When the cold air button (2) is pressed, the indicator light will light up and the temperature indicator lights will switch off.
Dry and straighten from wet
- Before using the appliance, towel dry your hair to remove excess moisture.
- Then, hold the appliance with the plates closed and direct the airflow towards the roots to dry them. If you wish, you can attach the concentrator nozzle to the appliance for faster drying.
- Adjust the temperature and airflow to suit your needs and dry the rest of the hair by placing about 3 cm strands between the plates and gliding the appliance from root to tip.
Recommended setting:
- Short hair: medium temperature + low speed
- Long hair: high temperature + high speed
- Long, thick hair: Boost + high speed
- When you have finished using the appliance, switch it off by sliding the power switch downwards and unplug it from the mains socket.
Dry retouching
Adjust the temperature and airflow to suit your needs and glide the appliance, strand by strand, from root to tip.
Standby mode
If you leave the appliance on a surface and no movement is detected, the appliance will reduce the airflow until it switches off completely after about 8 seconds and enters standby mode. It will start up again when you resume operation.

NOTE: the temperature of the heating plate is automatically adjusted in each mode.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Unplug the appliance from the mains and let it cool down completely before cleaning.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth (not wet). Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Remove the air inlet filter cover by pulling it off and use a soft toothbrush to remove dust and dirt from the rear filter. Replace the filter cover after cleaning.
Storage
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely before storing it.
- Lock the plates against damage by sliding the lock switch upwards.
- Once it has cooled down, bend the power cable as it came in the packaging. Do not wind the power cable around the appliance, as excessive tension may damage the cable.
- Store the appliance in a dry and safe place, out of the reach of children.
