IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE

Please observe the following instructions in order to prevent any risk of fire, short-circuits or damage to the product:

  1. Do not expose the product to rain or moisture. Do not place any containers filled with water on the product.
  2. Do not install the product in a bookcase, fitted cupboard or similarly enclosed spaces. Please ensure that there is sufficient ventilation for the product.

Scope Vision Outdoor

The Oehlbach Scope Vision Outdoor has been specifically designed for outdoor use and it accommodates a low-noise amplifier that has been specially developed for the antenna. This guarantees the best possible reception of DVB-T2 HD signals. The antenna is also flexible in terms of its installation and can be mounted on a mast or a wall, or it can be simply positioned on its base on a horizontal surface. The waterproof and UV-resistant housing protects the high-quality internal components in adverse weather conditions.

This waterproof and UV-resistant housing makes the Oehlbach Scope Vision Outdoor the perfect DVB-T2 antenna for outdoor use. Optimum HD reception is guaranteed thanks to an amplifier that has been specially developed for the antenna.

INSTALLATION

NOTE:

For the best possible reception, please check the following conditions:

  1. There is a sufficient distance to sources of interference and large power consumers such as air conditioning units, lifts, hairdryers, microwave ovens, etc.
  2. Installation is as high as possible. In case of digital terrestrial reception: Interruptions between the antenna and radio tower can cause temporary loss of the signal. These types of interruption can be reduced by installing the antenna as high as possible.

INSTALLATION

Internal/external wall mounting (Fig. 1)

Step 1. Mark the mounting position with a pen or pencil (use the mounting bar for this purpose).
Step 2. Use the supplied screws to screw the mounting bar to the wall.

You may need to use wall plugs depending on the wall. Use a 6 mm drill bit to drill a hole approx. 35 mm deep.

Step 3. Secure the antenna to the mounting bar.
Step 4. Connect the antenna cable to the antenna and then run the cable to your set-top box or TV.
Step 5. Proceed as described in the section entitled "INITIAL OPERATION".

Mounting the mast (Fig. 2)

Step 1. Secure the mounting bar to a suitable mast by using the threaded brackets and wing nuts.
Step 2. Secure the antenna to the mounting bar.
Step 3. Connect the antenna cable to the antenna and then run the cable to your set-top box or TV.
Step 4. Proceed as described in the section entitled "INITIAL OPERATION".

INITIAL OPERATION

The antenna can be supplied with power in two different ways

Variant 1: Operating the antenna via an STB or digital TV (Fig. 3)

  1. Secure the antenna in place as described in the mounting section.
  2. Connect the IEC connector of the supplied antenna cable to a set-top box or TV.
  3. Connect the F-connector of the antenna cable to the antenna itself. The antenna cable can be shortened to the required length and reattached with the supplied F-connector.
  4. Align the antenna to achieve the best signal/image quality.

Variant 2: Operating the antenna via a power supply unit (this method is necessary if your set-top box or TV does not have a DC output) (Fig. 4)

  1. Follow the steps specified for Variant 1 above, but connect the supplied amplifier between the antenna cable and your set-top box or TV. When doing this, connect the antenna cable to the "Antenna" input on the amplifier.
  2. Then connect the output of the amplifier to the antenna input on your set-top box or TV.
  3. Now connect the amplifier to the supplied power supply unit.

OEHLBACH®

Please note: All connections should be fixed. It is recommended that you establish a water-drop loop at the end of cable before it enters your home (when mounting the device outdoors).

When you have finished the installation process, you can use your set-top box or TV to check the strength and quality of the signal. If the quality is not sufficient for a good picture, you can try moving the antenna until you find the best reception position.

  1. The warranty period starts with the purchase of the product and only applies to the original owner.
  2. During the warranty period we will rectify any defects that are due to faulty material or workmanship by replacing or repairing the defective part at our discretion. Further claims, and in particular those for price reduction, cancellation of sale, compensation for damage or subsequent damage, are excluded. The warranty period is not affected by any work we provide under the warranty.

  3. The product should not be tampered with.

  4. In the event of a warranty claim please contact your authorised dealer first. Should it prove necessary to return the product to us, please ensure that

- the product is sent in its original factory packaging in good condition,

- your proof of purchase is enclosed.

  6. Defects caused as a result of incorrect installation, faulty connection, improper operation (see user manual), overloading or external force.
  7. Improperly repaired or modified devices that have been opened by a party other than us.
  8. Subsequent damage to other devices.
  9. Reimbursement of costs for repairing damage that has been caused by a third party without our prior conse.
