2. Safety instructions for the user
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
General precautions during the use of electrical equipment
- Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.
- This product is designed for indoor domestic, non-industrial and non-commercial use. Do not use the item outdoors or for any other purpose. Misuse or improper handling may cause problems with the appliance and may cause injury to the user.
- The unit must only be used for its intended purpose. No liability is accepted for damage resulting from improper use or incorrect handling.
- Make sure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance. • Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.
- It is necessary to supervise when any electrical appliance is being used by or near children.
- Before cleaning or storing your appliance, always unplug it from the power supply and allow it to cool down.
- The device is not completely disconnected from the power supply even after it has been switched off. To disconnect it completely, unplug it from the mains socket.
- The appliances are not designed to be operated by an external timer or a separate remote-control system.

Restrictions on use to avoid personal injury
- Do not leave the appliance unattended.
- Do not place or use this appliance near water sources.
- Do not place or use the appliance and its power cord on or near hot surfaces (e.g., hotplates) or open flames.
- Do not leave the power cord hanging over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and naked flames. Do not coil the cord around the appliance or bend it.
- Never use accessories not recommended by the manufacturer.
- The use of accessories not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- To avoid electric shock, make sure your hands are dry before plugging or unplugging the appliance.

- Never immerse the appliance or the plug in water or any other liquid. Should the appliance fall into water, disconnect it immediately
from the mains and take it to an authorized service center for repair before using it again.
- Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if it shows visible signs of damage, or if it is leaking.
- Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged. In the event of damage to the cord, it must be replaced only by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid hazards.
- In case of malfunction of the appliance, or if it has been damaged in any way, return the appliance to the nearest authorised service centre for examination, repair or adjustment.
- To avoid overloading the circuit when using this product, do not operate another high voltage product on the same electrical circuit.
- It is not recommended to use an extension cord with this product, but if an extension cord should be used:
- The marked electrical rating of the cable must be at least as good as that of the product.
- Arrange the extension cord so that it does not hang down where it can be tripped over or pulled unintentionally.

Restrictions for use with children and the elderly
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and maintenance of the user must not be carried out by children without supervision.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.

Instructions to be followed when using the device
- Never use this unit near a bathtub, shower, wash basin or other receptacles containing water.
- Caution! Do not allow small children to play with the foil: DANGER OF SUFFOCATION!
- Never use any connector other than the one provided.
- Never move the appliance by pulling on the cord. Make sure that the cable cannot be trapped in any way.
- Never coil the cable around the appliance and do not bend it.
- Incorrect operation and misuse can damage the appliance and cause injury to the user.
- This device is designed for domestic use, complies with the standards related to this type of product.
- Be sure to unplug the appliance before cleaning the waste containers or filters.
- It may cause fire and injury to persons if the vacuum cleaner sucks up the following items:
- Heat source: charcoal fire, cigarette butts
- Large sharp fragment: piece of broken glass.
- Liquid: dangerous goods (solvent, corrosive), acidic agent, cleaner and water.
- Flammable and explosive goods: petrol and alcoholic products.
- Construction and cement waste
- This vacuum cleaner only be used for dry purposes. Water, liquid and other wet objects must not be absorbed by the product. Do not water or spill liquids on the vacuum cleaner. Doing so will increase the risk of electric shock.
- Keep the air outlet of the appliance away from hair, loose clothing, fingers or other parts. Do not use the suction tube, tube extension handles or other tool point in eyes, ears or place in mouth.
- If large pieces of paper, paper balls, plastic sheets, or sharp objects, and anything thicker than a straw are found, remove them in advance to prevent the suction tube from being blocked and affecting the use of the product.
- Please stop using it immediately if you notice electric leakage, high motor temperature, or abnormal sounds. For example, high temperature in a part of the machine body, abnormal sound and smell, or weak suction.
- Please check the dust container regularly; if it is full, clean it in time.
- Keep the air outlet unblocked to avoid loss of suction power and motor heating, which can lead to reduced vacuum cleaner life.
- Check regularly if the aluminium alloy tube is blocked; if there is a blockage, clean it in time to avoid reducing suction and affecting the performance of the appliance.
• Take special care when cleaning stairs.
- Keep the end of the hose, pipe, and other openings away from your face and body.
- Do not use the appliance without the dust container or filter in place.

5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
FIRST USE
Before first use, carefully remove the unit and all accessories.
Wipe the outside and inside of the machine cabinet with a damp cloth and clean it.
USE
- Unwind the power cable completely.
- Check that the voltage in force in the country where you are located corresponds to the voltage indicated on the appliance.
- Plug the appliance into a correct socket outlet (and grounded if the unit is a Class I unit) to avoid any danger.
- Disconnect the power cord from the power supply before performing any cleaning operations on the maintenance and accessories assembly.
- Never modify the device in any way.
IMPORTANT
- Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning or maintenance. • Always remove the plug from the socket before opening the appliance.
- Never use methylated spirits or other solvents to clean the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance to suck up liquids.
- Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.
- Do not switch on the appliance if it appears to be defective in any way.
- For repairs or accessories, contact your dealer or an authorised service centre.

ASSEMBLY OF THE VACUUM CLEANER
Assemble the hose. Unplug the unit. Attach the end of the hose to the air inlet port (on the tank). Attach the floor brush to the other end of the hose.
USE
- Before using the appliance, unwind the length of the cord and insert the plug into the socket.
- Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the appliance.
- Adjust the angle between the brush and the body by rotating the handle.
- Stop the unit by pressing the On/Off button.
- Unplug and twist the cable in the winding holder.

- Disconnect the device from the main POWER supply.
- Open the hatch (underneath the appliance).
- Remove the dust filter and clean it (see next paragraph).
- Empty and clean the dust container.
- After drying, replace the filter and close the lid.

CLEAN THE FILTER
- After removing the filter from the vacuum cleaner, remove the foam filter (when dirty).
- Clean it with water (possibly with a little detergent).
- Rinse gently.
- Allow to dry naturally and when dry, reassemble it on the filter and reinsert the filter back into the dust compartment. NOTE: NEVER USE THE VACUUM CLEANER WITHOUT THE FILTER.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, always: switch off the appliance, disconnect and let it cool down.
Clean the outside of the appliance with a slightly damp sponge or linen.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid! Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal brushes or other cutting objects.
Warning:
Do not wash the filter in the washing machine.
Do not dry with an electric heater.
Do not clean the outside of the vacuum cleaner in a liquid similar to petrol oil. Just scrub it with water and mild liquid soap.
Do not allow water to flow into the vacuum cleaner.
STORAGE
- Do not coil the cable around the appliance, as this may damage it.
- Keep the appliance in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children.

- When you remove the filter from the vacuum cleaner, remove the foam filter (if it is dirty).
- Clean it with water (you can also use a little detergent).
- Rinse gently.
- Wait for it to dry naturally, and when it is dry, reattach it to the filter and reinsert the filter into the dust compartment. NOTE: NEVER USE THE VACUUM CLEANER WITHOUT THE FILTER.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE


- Do not place the device near a heat source.
VACUUM ASSEMBLY
Assemble the hose. Disconnect the unit. Attach the end of the hose to the air inlet (on the tank). Attach the floor brush to the other end of the hose.
USE
- Before using the appliance, unwind the cable and insert the plug into the socket.
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the appliance.

- Turn off and wind the cable into the cord wrap holder.

- Remove the dust filter and clean it (see next paragraph).
- Empty and clean the dust container.
- After drying, put the filter back in place and close the lid.
