The fan is designed exclusively for the ventilation of dry rooms.

It is intended exclusively for private use and is not suitable for commercial use.

Only use the fan as described in these operating instructions.

1. Only use this appliance in accordance with the guidelines in the operating instructions. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer could result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.
2. Remove the packaging and make sure that the device is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact the service center or your dealer.
3. Keep children away from packaging materials. There is a choking hazard if swallowed!
4. If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service centre in order to avoid all possible risks.
5. Before connecting to the mains, you must check that the type of current and mains voltage match the specifications on the appliance rating plate.
6. The electrical socket into which you connect the appliance must not be defective or loose and must be suitable for the required current load and, above all, reliably earthed.
7. Avoid using an extension cable, as this could overheat and cause a fire.
8. It is forbidden to adapt or modify the characteristics of this appliance in any way and only use spare parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer (failure to do so will invalidate the guarantee and warranty).
9. If the device is defective, switch it off and contact your dealer or the customer hotline.

Technical information

If the fan has to be stored for a long time and is not used regularly, place the fan in its original packaging in a dry place. If you are using it for the first time after a long period of inactivity, make sure that the fan is clean and that the rotor blades are unrestricted (device not supplied with power).

Assembly

• Insert the outer telescopic rod into the stand and secure it with the sealing ring and the fastening screw.
• Connect the motor housing to the telescopic rod and tighten it with a fixing screw.
• Remove and dispose of the plastic sleeve on the motor shaft. Position the rear grille over the motor shaft in front of the motor housing. Ensure that all guide pins of the motor housing match the recesses in the rear grille.
• Fasten the rear grille with the fastening nut. Tighten the nut clockwise onto the motor housing.

- Mount the rotor blade on the motor shaft. The blade with the round central hole fits onto the round motor shaft.

- Place the blade cap on the motor shaft after the fan blade.

- Secure the cap by tightening it counterclockwise.

- Place the front grille on the rear grille by aligning the markings on the top of the grilles.

- Take the front protective grille and insert it to match the rear protective grille. Secure both grilles using the grille retaining ring and fasten the flap with screws underneath the grille retaining ring.

Remote control

Preparing the remote control - Inserting or replacing the battery

Please note the following instructions:

Initial operation:

To operate the remote control for the first time, please pull the plastic cover out of the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.

Change the battery:

Pull out the battery holder on the back of the remote control and remove the old battery from the holder:

Now insert a new CR2025 battery, always paying attention to the polarity markings (+/-) on the battery and the battery holder.

Then push the battery holder fully back into the remote control.

Note: If you do not use the remote control for a longer period of time (4 weeks or longer), remove the batteries from the remote control.

Functions and operation

CAUTION: Ensure that the product is fully assembled before connecting it to a power socket.

Place the fan on a flat, level and stable surface.

Connect the appliance to a 220-240V\~50/60Hz socket. The appliance emits a signal tone and is ready for operation.

The appliance can be operated using the push buttons on the control panel or with the remote control supplied.

- ON/OFF button

Press the "On/Off" button on the remote control or the "" button on the control panel to switch the fan on. Press the button again to switch the fan off.

- SPEED button

There are 3 speed levels available.

Press the "SPEED" button on the remote control or on the control panel to set the speed. The currently selected speed is shown on the display (F1, F2, F3)

- Oscillation button

Press the "Oscillation" button on the control panel or on the remote control supplied to activate oscillation. Press the button again to stop oscillation.

- TIMER button

You can use the "TIMER" button to set the operating time in 1-hour increments up to a maximum of 12 hours.

Press the "TIMER" button on the remote control or on the control panel. The display starts to flash and you can set the desired time by pressing the "TIMER" buttons again.

Once you have set the desired time, please wait for about 5 seconds. The display then switches back to the set speed level and the timer setting is accepted.

- Mode button

Press the "Mode" button to switch between normal wind, natural wind and sleep wind modes. The selected setting is shown on the display.

Natural wind mode

The natural wind mode simulates a natural air flow generated by changing speeds. The wind strength varies between stronger and weaker gusts of air, similar to a light breeze outdoors. This dynamic change in wind speed creates a pleasant and natural feeling that is less uniform and constant than the normal mode.

Sleep mode Mode

The tower fan reduces by one speed level every 30 minutes until it runs at the lowest speed level until you switch the appliance off or the timer switches the fan off automatically.

Improved air circulation:

This fan offers three additional functions that allow you to customize the airflow and improve air circulation in the room.

Oscillation function

Use the swivel function for effective air distribution.

Height adjustment

To adjust the height of the fan, loosen the height adjustment ring. Lengthen or shorten the extension tube to adjust the height of the fan. As soon as the fan has reached the desired height, tighten the height adjustment ring again.

Adjusting the inclination

The angle of the fan head is adjustable. It can be tilted up or down by slightly lifting or pressing the cover.

Care and cleaning

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Switch the appliance off before cleaning and always disconnect the mains plug from the socket.

- DO NOT immerse the device in water or spray it with other liquids.

- DO NOT use solvents or other chemical products for cleaning. Store the fan in a dry place when not in use.

- If you no longer use the fan at the end of the season, wipe off the dust to keep it in good condition for the next season. If necessary, dismantle the grille and remove the fan; clean it with a soft, damp cloth.

If, contrary to expectations, service work on your device should nevertheless be necessary during this period, we hereby guarantee you a free repair (spare parts and labor) or (at Schuss's discretion) replacement of the product. If neither repair nor replacement is possible for economic reasons, we reserve the right to issue a time value credit note.

In the case of air conditioners, please always contact the customer hotline as a first step (see sticker on the appliance or front page of the operating instructions); in the case of fans, please contact your specialist dealer or us directly. We would like to point out that any repair work not carried out by an authorized workshop in Austria will immediately invalidate this guarantee.

This guarantee does not cover

• We do not accept any liability for consequential damage in the event of improper use
• Repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear
• Damage due to non-compliance with the operating instructions
• Devices that are used - even partially - for commercial purposes
• devices mechanically damaged by external influences (fall, impact, breakage, improper use, etc.) as well as signs of wear and tear of an aesthetic nature.
• Devices that have been handled improperly
• Devices that have not been opened by our authorized service workshop.
- Damage caused by improperly closed condensation drain valves on air conditioning units or incorrectly inserted water tanks.
• Unfulfilled consumer expectations.
• Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning, overvoltage.
• Devices where the type designation and/or serial number on the device has been changed, deleted, made illegible or removed.
• services outside our authorized workshops, the transport costs to an authorized workshop or to us and back, as well as the associated risks.

We would like to emphasize that within the warranty period, a lump sum of € 60,- (indexed based on CPI 2010, June 2015) will be charged for operating errors or if no error was detected.

The provision of a warranty service (repair or replacement of the device) does not extend the absolute warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

The 2-year guarantee is only valid on presentation of the proof of purchase (must include the name and address of the dealer and the full name of the appliance) and the corresponding guarantee certificate, on which the appliance type and the serial number (visible on the box and on the back or bottom of the appliance) must be noted! Without the warranty certificate, only the statutory warranty applies!

We expressly point out that the statutory warranty rights are not affected by this guarantee and remain unaffected.

Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its vicarious agents shall only be liable for damages in the event of gross negligence or intent. Liability for loss of profit, expected but unrealized savings, consequential damages and damages from third party claims is excluded. Damage to or for recorded data is always excluded from the liability for damages.
