3. WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTES

The device is only intended for the purpose described in these instructions for use. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or careless use. Failure to observe the following information may result in personal injury or material damage.

Intended use

This device is designed to provide neck and shoulder massage. It cannot replace medical treatment. Do not use the device if one or several of the following warnings applies to you. If you are unsure whether the device is suitable for you, please consult your doctor.

WARNING

  • Do not use the device if you suffer from a medical abnormality (e.g. swelling, burns, inflammations) or injury in the area of the body to be massaged (e.g. herniated disc, open wound, lacerations, capillaries, varicose veins, acne, couperose, herpes or other skin diseases).
  • Under no circumstances use the device for massages in the area around the heart if you wear a pacemaker – and consult your doctor regarding other parts of the body.
  • Do not use the device during pregnancy.
  • Do not use the device on the face (eyes), the larynx or other particularly sensitive body parts.
  • Do not use the device for foot massage.
  • Never use the device while sleeping.
  • Do not use the device after the consumption of substances that lead to impaired cognitive function (e.g. pain medication, alcohol).
  • Do not use the device in a vehicle.
  • Do not use the device whilst undertaking any activity where an unexpected reaction could be dangerous.

NOTICE

Electric shock

- Never pick up a device that has fallen into water. Unplug the mains adapter immediately. Do not drop the device or subject it to any impacts.

Handling

Notes on handling batteries

  • If fluid from a battery cell comes into contact with your skin or eyes, wash the affected areas with water and seek medical assistance.
  • Choking hazard! Small children could swallow and choke on batteries. Therefore, keep batteries out of the reach of small children!
  • If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves to dispose of the device.
  • Protect batteries from excessive heat.
  • Risk of explosion! Never throw batteries into a fire.
  • Do not disassemble, split or crush the batteries.
  • In order to achieve as long a battery service life as possible, fully charge the battery at least 2 times a year.
    • Always switch the device off in advance of charging.
  • Batteries must be charged correctly prior to use. The instructions from the manufacturer and the specifications regarding correct charging in these instructions for use must be observed at all times.

5. INITIAL USE

Charging the battery

Before using the device for the first time, you must charge it for a minimum of 3 hours. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. Remove all packaging material from the device.
  2. Check the device and USB-C cable for damage.
  3. Plug the supplied USB-C cable into the USB-C port on the device 5.
  4. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a USB power supply.
  5. Ensure that the cable does not pose a trip hazard.
  6. During charging, the LED display 8 will flash red. As soon as the LED display 8 is continuously lit up in white, disconnect the USB-C cable from the device and the USB power supply. The battery is now fully charged. A full battery charge is sufficient for around 2 hours of operation (at low speed without heat function). You must recharge the device as soon as the LED display 8 starts to flash red during use; otherwise it will automatically switch off.

6. USAGE

If the massage is painful or uncomfortable, stop the massage or change your position or the contact pressure. The device has an automatic switch-off function and switches off automatically after 10 minutes of operation.

CAUTION

  • Do not use the massage function on the device for more than 10 minutes at a time. Longer massages can lead to over-stimulation of the muscles, creating tension instead of aiding relaxation.
  • Do not force or jam any part of your body, in particular your feet, hands and fingers, between the rotating massage heads 1 and their brackets in the device.

Step 1: Set up the device

  1. Place the massager around your neck (see figure A B on fold-out page).
  2. Place the back strap 7 around your back and fasten it at the back using the buckle (see figure B on fold-out page).
  3. Set your preferred contact pressure using the handles 6.

Step 2: Switch the device on

To switch the device on, press and hold the ON/OFF button for two seconds. The LED display 8 will light up in white. The massage heads will start to rotate 1 as the massage fingers move up and down.

To start with, carefully press the body area that you want to massage against the device. Then check whether the massage position is pleasant for you and if so, gradually shift your weight towards the device.

Step 3: Set the speed

The device has two speed settings. To switch between speed settings during use, briefly press the ON/OFF button 9. There is a 1 second pause during speed setting changes.

Step 4: Switch on heat (optional)

The device has a heat function that you can switch on in addition to the massage. Press the heat button 10 to switch on the heat function. The LED display 8 will light up in red. Press the heat button 10 again to switch off the heat function. The LED display 8 lights up white again.

Step 4: Switch the device off

To switch the device off, press and hold the ON/OFF button 9 for two seconds. The device has an automatic switch-off function. This means that the device switches off automatically after 10 minutes of operation.

7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING

  • Clean the device using only the methods specified. Under no circumstances may liquid enter the device, accessories and/or replacement parts.
  • Small marks can be removed using a cloth or damp sponge, and some liquid delicate laundry detergent where necessary. Do not use any solvent-based cleaning products.
  • Do not use the device again until it is completely dry.
  • To remove the cover, open the zip at the back of the neck area 2. The removable cover may only be hand washed in lukewarm water below 30°C. The cover must NOT be machine washed. Please note the symbols for care and cleaning on the label sewn into the cover. DO NOT leave the cover to dry in the sun.
  • Do not use the device again until all components are completely dry.

Storage

If you plan not to use the device for a long period of time, we recommend that you store it in the original packaging in a dry environment, ensuring other items are not loaded on top of it.

9. DISPOSAL

Battery disposal

When disposing of the device, you must first remove the battery from the device. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the battery compartment zipper 4.
  2. Remove the housing from the fabric cover.
  3. Remove the hook-and-loop fastener.
  4. Open the battery compartment of the housing using a screwdriver.
  5. Disconnect the plug connection and remove the battery.

Empty, completely flat batteries must be disposed of in specially designated collection boxes at recycling points or electronics retailers. You are legally required to dispose of the batteries.

The codes below are printed on batteries containing harmful substances:

Pb = battery contains lead

Cd = battery contains cadmium

Hg = battery contains mercury

Faulty or used batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and amendments thereto. Return the batteries and/or the device using the collection facilities provided.

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in household waste at the end of its service life.

Dispose of the device at a suitable local collection or recycling point in your country. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
