Frequently Asked Questions - Bronze 750W Volcano

How to properly install the Bronze 750W power supply?
Before installation, disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet. Open the computer case, remove the old power supply if present, then place the new one. Connect the cables to the motherboard (20+4 pin connector), CPU (4+4 pin), and peripherals (SATA, Molex, PCI-E). Close the case and plug in the power cord. Ensure the I/O switch is set to 'I'. Refer to the manual for more details.
What is the actual power of the Volcano Bronze 750W power supply?
The Bronze 750W model delivers a continuous power of 750 watts. However, it is recommended not to exceed 80% of this load under continuous use to optimize lifespan and stability. Current specifications per rail are indicated on the product label.
How to clean the PC power supply?
Disconnect the power supply from the mains (230V). Use a compressed air jet to blow out dust inside, especially on the fan blades. Perform this operation in a well-ventilated area or outdoors. Never disassemble the casing, as capacitors retain dangerous voltage even after disconnection.
What to do if the computer does not turn on after installation?
Check that the power cord is properly plugged in at both ends and that the wall outlet works. Ensure the I/O switch on the power supply is set to 'I'. Verify that all connectors are correctly seated: motherboard, CPU, GPU, drives. Consider a short circuit or defective component. If the problem persists, contact a professional.
Is this power supply compatible with my motherboard?
The Bronze 750W uses a main ATX 20+4 pin connector, compatible with all recent ATX motherboards. For motherboards requiring a 4+4 pin CPU connector (ATX12V/EPS12V), the power supply provides it. Also check the available space in your case (standard ATX dimensions).
What is the typical lifespan of this power supply?
Lifespan depends on usage conditions: temperature, load, power quality. Under normal use (load below 80% and good ventilation), it can reach 5 to 10 years. Electrolytic capacitors dry out over time, especially under high heat or prolonged overload.
Is the Volcano Bronze 750W power supply quiet?
Noise level depends on the built-in fan (likely 120mm). Under normal operation, it remains moderate. Under heavy load, the fan may spin faster and become audible. To minimize noise, ensure good airflow inside the case.
Can I use this power supply for a powerful graphics card?
Yes, the power supply has PCI-E 6+2 pin connectors for graphics cards. The 750W power is sufficient for most high-end single-GPU configurations. However, check your card's consumption and the manufacturer's recommendations.
How to know if my power supply is defective?
Common signs include: computer won't start, random restarts, blue screen, or unusual noises (buzzing, clicking). If you suspect a fault, test with another power supply if possible. Never open the power supply yourself; contact an authorized service.
How to dispose of the old power supply?
Do not throw it in household waste. In accordance with the WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU), return it to a collection point for electronic waste (recycling center, store, etc.). Recycling allows material recovery and avoids environmental risks.
