How to charge the Magic Set for the first time?

Before first use, charge the device for at least 24 hours to ensure full battery capacity. Set the switch to 'O' (off), connect the adapter to the device and to a mains socket. The indicator lights up. Once charged, unplug the adapter.

Can I use the device directly on mains without batteries?

Yes, you can use the device directly on mains with the supplied adapter, even if the batteries are empty. However, after plugging in the adapter, wait about 30 seconds for the device to operate at full performance.

What accessories are included and what are they for?

The included accessories are: filing discs for nails, conical polisher, narrow manicure stick (for cuticles and ingrown nails), wide manicure stick (for toenails), fine file (calluses), coarse file (heels and soles), brush (cleaning) and an integrated nail dryer in the case.

How to use the integrated nail dryer?

Connect the power cord to the back of the case, then the adapter to a socket. Place your hand in the nail dryer until your fingertips disappear. Press the on/off switch to activate it. Do not move your fingers during drying.

What are the safety precautions for diabetics?

Diabetic people must be particularly careful due to possible skin desensitization. Interrupt treatment regularly to check the condition of the skin. In case of irritation or injury, stop using immediately and consult a doctor.

How to clean the device?

Always unplug the device and let it cool before cleaning. Clean it with a mild detergent and a dry, clean cloth. Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

What to do if the device stops working?

How to replace the batteries?

To remove the batteries, unscrew the screw at the bottom of the device, open the casing and remove the batteries. Before removing the batteries, run the device until the motor stops completely to discharge them. Dispose of used batteries at an appropriate collection point.

What is the warranty period and what does it cover?

The Lanaform warranty is 2 years from the date of purchase against any defect in material or workmanship. It does not cover normal wear, damage due to abusive or improper use, nor repairs carried out by unauthorized persons.

Can I use the device on my feet?

Yes, the Magic Set is designed for manicure and pedicure. For feet, use the fine or coarse file to remove calluses. It is recommended to wash feet only after the treatment for best results. Be careful if you have sensitive skin or circulation problems.

Using the “MAGIC SET” you can easily benefit from manicure and pedicure care at home. All the tools you require to model, file, smooth and dry your nails are contained in the package, as well as special tools for removing rough skin and pushing back cuticles. Using the “MAGIC SET” regularly will make your hands softer and more attractive and will also leave your nails stronger and less brittle.

PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO USING YOUR MANICURE/PEDICURE SET, IN PARTICULAR THOSE RELATING TO BASIC SAFETY:

• Please check that the voltage indicated on the appliance plate matches the voltage in your home.
• This device is designed for brief periods of use. It can operate without interruption for 20 minutes after which it is essential to switch it off and leave the motor to cool.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is operating or plugged in.
• This equipment is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced mental, sensorial or physical faculties, nor by persons lacking experience or comprehension, unless they have received, from persons responsible for their safety, either supervision or prior instruction concerning the use of the equipment. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the equipment.
  • Always keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

• Persons suffering from diabetes must take particular care when using "MAGIC SET".

• Do not use "MAGIC SET" on irritated, sunburnt or chapped skin or on skin suffering from a dermatological condition.

• Do not use the appliance on skin suffering from rashes, warts, beauty spots or varicose veins.

• Use of the "MAGIC SET" must be comfortable and pain-free. If you feel any irritation of the nails or of the skin, or if you feel any pain in your hand while using the appliance, stop using it temporarily. If you have a more serious reaction, consult your doctor.
• Use this appliance exclusively for the purpose for which it was designed, as described in this manual.

CHARGING THE APPLIANCE

1. If using the appliance in cordless mode, it must be charged for at least 24 hours before the first use to ensure that the batteries are fully charged.
2. Charging time is normally 6 hours.
3. Ensure that the selector switch is set to "O" (OFF) before recharging. Connect the appliance to the recharging unit and connect the adapter to the power socket. The indicator will light up. Before using the appliance, disconnect the recharging unit from the power source.

USING THE APPLIANCE WITH THE ADAPTER

1. The appliance can also operate directly from the mains using the adapter supplied, if the batteries are empty. Use only the adapter supplied.
2. Connect the adapter to the appliance and connect the adapter to the power socket.
3. If using the adapter when the batteries are empty, the appliance will take 30 seconds to operate at full output again.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Check that the voltage of the appliance and the mains voltage are identical; then connect the adapter to the power supply.
2. The manicure/pedicure set is then ready for use.
3. Place one of the accessories on the appliance and begin manicure or pedicure operation. Two speeds are available. These two speeds can be regulated using the selector switch.
4. Fur pedicure use, better results are obtained if the feet are not washed until after treatment.

N.B.: Interrupt treatment occasionally to check the results. This is particularly recommended for diabetics, as they frequently suffer from skin desensitisation and could injure themselves.

MANICURE/PEDICURE SET WITH 7 INTERCHANGEABLE ACCESSORIES

The various accessories can easily be fitted to the appliance and removed after use (Fig. 1).

Here are some suggestions for using the different accessories:

1. NAIL-FILING DISK: This accessory allows you to remodel and file even thick and hardened nails. If this appliance is used regularly, the nails will become firmer and will not break so easily. The accessory can be used on both the hands and the feet.
2. POLISHING TOOL: Used to smooth the rounded edges of the nails after filing and also to polish the nail surface.
3. THIN MANICURE STICK: Used to remove chapped skin and treat ingrown nails. When using this accessory, always work from the outside of the nail inwards.
4. WIDE MANICURE STICK: Used to treat and polish the keratinous surface of foot nails.
5. FINE FILE: Used to remove calluses and hard skin. Apply the accessory with care to the parts of skin to be treated. After completing the treatment, take a foot bath and apply cream or moisturising lotion.
6. ROUGH FILE: Used to remove calluses on the heels and the soles.
7. BRUSH: Used to clean the nails after treatment.

USING THE INTEGRATED NAIL-DRYING APPLIANCE

1. Connect the lead to the socket located at the rear of the carrying case.
2. Connect the adapter to the power supply.
3. Place your hand in the nail-drying appliance up to the tip of the fingers.
4. Switch the appliance on by pressing the ON/OFF selector switch. Do not move your fingers during drying. After drying remove your hand from the appliance.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

1. Unscrew the screw at the rear of the appliance and open the appliance.
2. Open the compartment and remove the batteries for correct disposal.
3. If you need to dispose of the complete appliance, it is imperative to remove the installed batteries.
4. The batteries must be completely empty before being removed. To empty them operate the appliance until the motor runs down.

ADVICE REGARDING THE DISPOSAL OF WASTE

• All the packaging is composed of materials that pose no hazard for the environment and which can be disposed of at your local sorting centre to be used as secondary raw materials. The cardboard may be disposed of in a paper recycling bin. The packaging film must be taken to your local sorting and recycling centre.
• When you have finished using the device, please dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way and in accordance with the law. Prior to disposal, please remove the battery and dispose of it at a collection point so that it can be recycled.

Please note: under no circumstances should spent batteries be disposed of with household waste!!!

MAINTENANCE:

1. STORAGE: Place the appliance in its box in a safe, dry and cool place. Do not allow the device to come into contact with cutting or pointed objects, which could damage the external surface. Do not wind the electrical cable around the appliance (this could cause the cable to become worn and even to break).
2. CLEANING: Unplug the appliance and leave to cool before cleaning.
3. DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN A LIQUID TO CLEAN IT. Use a mild detergent. Dry by dabbing with a clean, dry cloth.
4. NEVER USE abrasive detergents, a brush, petrol, kerosene, cleaning products for glass or furniture, paint thinner or water to clean the appliance.

LIMITED WARRANTY

LANAFORM ^® guarantees this product against any material or manufacturing defect for a period of two years from the date of purchase, except in the circumstances described below.

The LANAFORM ^® guarantee does not cover damage caused as a result of normal wear to this product. In addition, the guarantee covering this LANAFORM ^® product does not cover damage caused by abusive or inappropriate or incorrect use, accidents, the use of unauthorized accessories, changes made to the product or any other circumstance, of whatever sort, that is outside LANAFORM ^® 's control.

LANAFORM ^® may not be held liable for any type of circumstantial, indirect or specific damage.

All implicit guarantees relating to the suitability of the product are limited to a period of two years from the initial date of purchase as long as a copy of the proof of purchase can be supplied.

On receipt, LANAFORM ^® will repair or replace your appliance at its discretion and will return it to you. The guarantee is only valid through LANAFORM ^® 's Service Centre ^® . Any attempt to maintain this product by a person other than LANAFORM ^® 's Service Centre will render this guarantee void.
