The noise and vibration levels have been calculated according to the norms stated in the conformity statement.
The stated vibration emission value was measured in accordance with a standard testing procedure and may be used to compare one power tool to another. The stated vibration emission value may also be used for a preliminary exposure assessment.

Warning: The vibration emission value may differ during actual use of the power tool from the stated value depending on the manner in which the power tool is used.
Try to keep the exposure to vibrations as low as possible. Examples of measures to reduce vibration exposure are the wearing of gloves when using the tool and limiting the working hours. For this purpose all parts of the operating cycle have to
be considered (for example, times when the electric tool is switched off and times when it is switched on but running without any load).

General safety instructions for power tools

WARNING! Read all safety directions and instructions. Omissions in the compliance with safety directions and instructions can cause electrical shock, fire and/or severe injuries.
Retain all safety directions and instructions for future use.
The term “Power Tools” used in the safety instructions refers to mains-operated power tools (with power cord) and to battery-operated power tools (without power cord).
1) WORK AREA SAFETY
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Dis-tractions can cause you to lose control.
2) ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If operation of the power tool in a damp environment is unavoidable, please use a residual current device. The use of a residual current device reduces the risk of an electric shock.
3) PERSONAL SAFETY
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention white operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source
and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This applies especially when working on slopes. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
h) Walk when holding the device in your hand. Do not run.
i) Do not touch any of the dangerous moving parts before you have removed the battery and all moving parts have come to a complete standstill. There is a risk of injury.
4) POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
GB
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjust -ments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool's operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
5) SERVICE
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Special Safety Directions for the cordless grass & shrub cutter
1) SPECIAL SAFETY DIRECTIONS FOR HEDGE TRIMMERS
a) Keep all body parts away from the blade. Do not attempt to remove clippings while the blade is operating or to hold on to material which is to be cut. Only remove trapped clippings when the tool is switched off. One moment of carelessness in the usage of the hedge trimmer can lead to severe injury.
b) Carry the hedge trimmer at the handle with an idle blade. Always pull on the protective cover during transport and storage of the hedge trimmer. Careful handling of the tool reduces the risk of injury from the blade.
c) Hold the power tool only on the insulated handle surfaces, as the cutting blade may come into contact with concealed power cables. Contact between the cutting blade and a live cable may render metallic components live and result in an electric shock.
d) Before the work, search the hedge for concealed objects, e.g. cable etc. To avoid damaging the equipment.
e) Hold the hedge trimmer correctly, e.g. with both hands on the handles, if there are two handles. Loss of control of the equipment may result in injuries.
f) Wear suitable clothing and work clothes when working with the equipment. Do not hold the equipment by the cutting blade or lift it on the cutting blade. Contact with the cutting blade can cause injuries.
Special safety instructions for the spray attachment
a) Keep the spray attachment away from children.
b) Only use the spray attachment in well-ventilated surroundings.
c) Spray with the direction of wind, away from people, animals and foodstuffs.
d) Do not eat or drink while working with the spray attachment.
e) Do not aim the spray attachment at open flames.
f) Observe location regulations.
g) Avoid operating the spray attachment while empty.
h) Observe all the instructions provided for the plant protection agent that you use in the spray attachment. Wear protective googles and gloves, or other recommended personal protective equipment, if required.
i) Do not use any hot, corrosive, flammable, caustic or heat-producing liquids in the spray attachment.
j) Keep hands and arms away from the nozzle while the spray attachment is in operation.
k) If you come into contact with chemicals, proceed in accordance with the instructions of the product used and seek medical assistance immediately.

Even if properly operating and handling this electric tool, some residual risks will remain. Due to its construction and build, this electric tool may present the following hazards:
a) Cuts
b) Ear damage if working without ear protection.
c) Eye damage if suitable eye protection is not worn.
d) Damage to your health caused by swinging your hands and arms when operating the appliance for longer periods of time or if the unit is not held or maintained properly.
