9 Installation

Unpacking the appliance

The packaging materials must be undamaged. Inspect the appliance for transport damage. On no account should a damaged appliance be connected to the mains power supply. In case of damage, contact the supplier.

Make sure there are no hidden cables in the wall that could be damaged!

Assembling the appliance

Attach the suction tube: See Fig. 3.

Depending on your needs, there are 4 attachments to choose from: -

For a dusty carpet or hard floor we recommend the reversible floor nozzle (1). The foot button can be used to lower or raise the integrated bristle ring for carpets.

For corners that are difficult to reach, we recommend the crevice nozzle (Fig. 1).

For delicate or shaped objects we recommend the upholstery nozzle (Fig.2).

10 Operation

Only use the appliance when all parts are completely and correctly assembled.

Before each use, make sure that the appliance is in good condition and that the mains power cable is not damaged.

If the mains power cable is damaged, contact the service partner www.ggv-service.de or your dealer to prevent any danger.

  1. Place the vacuum cleaner on the floor.
  2. Insert the suction nozzle of the flexible hose (2) into the hose connection (4) of the vacuum cleaner housing. The hose must click in.
  3. Push the handle of the hose onto the telescopic tube (3).
  4. Attach the desired suction nozzle to the other end of the telescopic tube.
  5. Use the floor nozzle (1) to clean dusty carpets or hard floors.
  6. Use the crevice nozzle for corners that are difficult to reach.
  7. For delicate or shaped objects, use the upholstery nozzle.
  8. Step on the reversible floor nozzle (1) switch to adjust the position of the brush. This position is suitable for parquet, soft surfaces or tiles. For carpets or mats, step again on the brush "—".

Switching on the appliance

  1. Pull out the cable completely.
  2. Insert the plug into the socket, press the ON/OFF button (7).
  3. When using the appliance, make sure that the flexible hose is not blocked, twisted or trapped.

Switching off the appliance.

  1. Press the ON/OFF button (7), pull the plug out of the socket.
  2. Wind up the cable with the cable winder (6).
  3. Easily carry the floor vacuum cleaner by the handle.

11 Cleaning and storage

NOTE

Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning. For optimal use of the device and to ensure a longer service life, regularly empty the container and clean the filters.

ATTENTION

Do not immerse the motor, plug or mains power cable in water or any other liquid (clean only with a dry cloth).

Replacing the HEPA filter

The HEPA filter is used to filter out viruses, respirable dusts, dust mite eggs and excretions, pollen, smoke particles, asbestos, bacteria, various toxic dusts and aerosols from the air.

NOTE!

Replace the HEPA filter every 6 months.

Replace the motor protection filter every 10 months.

A replacement filter set consisting of:

5x vacuum cleaner dust bags

1x motor protection filter,

1x HEPA filter

1x replacement filter set is included in the scope of supply. Order more replacement filter sets for a fee at www.ggv-service.de.

11.1 Cleaning/replacing the motor protection filter

  • Open the vacuum cleaner cover using the lock.
  • First remove the vacuum cleaner dust bag and then the protective grille of the motor filter.
  • Replace the motor filter and replace the protective grille and the vacuum cleaner dust bag.

Cleaning the motor

Use a dry cloth for cleaning.

Do not use water, steel wool or abrasive products.

Storage when not in use for a long period of time If the appliance is not used for a long period of time, it is recommended to

  • cover it and
  • keep it in a dry place,
    • in an upright position.

The appliance is protected from dust and moisture in its original packaging.

12 Troubleshooting

13 General warranty terms

The following terms describing the preconditions for and scope of our warranty, do not infringe the warranty rights of the ultimate buyer. Our warranty for this appliance is granted under the following terms:

As the purchaser of an Exquisit appliance, you have a manufacturer's warranty (2 years from the date of purchase).

During this warranty period, you have the option of making your claims directly on the manufacturer's service platform at www.ggv-service.de.

If you take out an additional warranty with your dealer, any claims after the expiry of the 24-month manufacturer's warranty are excluded. In this case, please contact your dealer directly. Warranty period

The warranty period is 24 months from the date of purchase (proof of purchase must be presented). During the first 6 months, defects in the appliance are remedied free of charge on condition that the appliance is accessible for repairs without any great effort. During the following 18 months, the buyer is obliged to prove that the defect already existed at the time of delivery.

In the case of commercial use (e.g. in hotels, canteens) or joint use by several households, the warranty period is 12 months from the date of purchase (proof of purchase must be presented). During the first 6 months, defects in the appliance are remedied free of charge on condition that the appliance is accessible for repairs without any great effort.

During the following 6 months, the buyer is obliged to prove that the defect already existed at the time of delivery.

The claim under warranty does not prolong the warranty period for either the appliance or for newly installed parts.

Scope of the defect remedy

Within the periods indicated, we will remedy all defects in the appliance that are demonstrably attributable to poor workmanship or material flaws. Replaced parts become our property.

The warranty does not cover:

Normal wear, deliberate or negligent damage, damage resulting from a failure to observe the instruction manual, improper installation and set-up or connection to the wrong mains power supply, damage caused by chemical or electrothermal effects or other abnormal environmental conditions, glass, paintwork or enamel damage and possible differences in colour as well as defective lamps.

Defects in the appliance resulting from transport damage are also not covered. We are also not obliged to perform defect remedies, if – without our express written authorisation – work is carried out on the Exquisit appliance by unauthorised persons or third-party parts have been used.

This limitation shall not apply to faultless work carried out by a qualified person using our original parts to adapt the appliance to the technical safety regulations of another EU member state.

Scope

Our warranty applies to appliances purchased and in operation in the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria.

In the case of complaints about defective appliances, the sender's and recipient's addresses must be in the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria.

For appliances purchased and operated in other European countries, the warranty conditions of the seller apply.

For repairs outside the warranty period:

- If an appliance is repaired, the repair invoices are payable immediately without deduction.
