8.1 Intended use
The appliance is intended for private/household use. It is suitable for vacuuming indoor areas.
- Every other form of use is not considered an intended use. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage.
- Do not use the appliance for purposes other than vacuuming indoor areas. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage.
- For safety reasons, modifications or alterations to the appliance are not permitted.
- Any use outside these areas of application is not in accordance with the intended use and is therefore considered improper use.
8.2 Safety and responsibility
- Avoid injuries and damage by transporting the appliance only when packed.

- When vacuuming with a suction nozzle, do not come close to the head or hair.
- Risk of crushing: The vacuum cleaner contains moving parts. Take care of your fingers and hands during assembly, daily use and cleaning.

Improper use of the appliance can result in damage.
- Do not expose the appliance to high temperatures (heating, etc.) or weather conditions (rain, etc.).
- Do not use the appliance any more if the plastic components of the vacuum cleaner are cracked, split or deformed.
- Do not use the vacuum cleaner without a HEPA filter.
- Do not vacuum burning or glowing objects such as cigarettes or apparently extinguished ashes.
- Do not soak up liquids or damp dirt. Allow wet cleaned or shampooed carpets to dry before vacuuming.
- Do not vacuum up toner dust from printers or copiers. The filter system cannot completely filter out the toner dust. The toner dust could get back into the chamber via the fan.
- Do not absorb highly flammable or explosive substances or gases.
- Do not vacuum sharp-edged, heavy or hard objects. This would block the appliance.
- Do not stand or sit on the appliance.
- Do not vacuum shards.
8.4 Residual risks

- Before any cleaning or maintenance procedure, disconnect the power supply with the switch on the fuse box.
- A damaged mains power cable must be replaced by our After Sales Service without delay.
- If the mains power cable or mains plug is damaged, do not use the appliance any more.
- Do not carry out any work on the appliance other than the cleaning and service work described in this instruction manual.
8.5 General safety instructions
Always switch the appliance off after use. In the case of an emergency, switch off the fuse immediately.
DANGER
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD
- Never touch an electrical appliance when your hands or feet are wet or when you are barefoot.
- Never use an electrical appliance outdoors.
- The electrical safety of this appliance is only guaranteed when it is connected to a properly earthed system and complies with the electrical safety standards.
- A damaged power supply cable must be replaced by the supplier, dealer or After Sales Service without delay. If cable or plug connections are damaged, do not use the appliance any longer.
- Do not use multiple socket strips or power extension cables.
- Switch off the appliance and allow to cool down before all cleaning or service work.
- Never use a steam cleaner for cleaning. Moisture could get into electrical components.
- The appliance must be dry before it is put into operation again.
- Do not carry out any work on the appliance other than the cleaning and service work described in this instruction manual.
The manufacturer declines all liability for injury and damage resulting from failure to comply with the information and instructions for installation, service and operation of the appliance.
9 Installation
Unpacking the appliance
The packaging materials must be undamaged. Inspect the appliance for transport damage. On no account should a damaged appliance be connected to the mains power supply. In case of damage, contact the supplier.

Make sure there are no hidden cables in the wall that could be damaged!
Assembling the appliance
Attach the suction tube: See Fig. 3.
Depending on your needs, there are 4 attachments to choose from: -
For a dusty carpet or hard floor we recommend the reversible floor nozzle (1). The foot button can be used to lower or raise the integrated bristle ring for carpets.
For corners that are difficult to reach, we recommend the crevice nozzle (Fig. 1).
For delicate or shaped objects we recommend the upholstery nozzle (Fig.2).
10 Operation
Only use the appliance when all parts are completely and correctly assembled.
Before each use, make sure that the appliance is in good condition and that the mains power cable is not damaged.
If the mains power cable is damaged, contact the service partner www.ggv-service.de or your dealer to prevent any danger.
- Place the vacuum cleaner on the floor.
- Insert the suction nozzle of the flexible hose (2) into the hose connection (4) of the vacuum cleaner housing. The hose must click in.
- Push the handle of the hose onto the telescopic tube (3).
- Attach the desired suction nozzle to the other end of the telescopic tube.
- Use the floor nozzle (1) to clean dusty carpets or hard floors.
- Use the crevice nozzle for corners that are difficult to reach.
- For delicate or shaped objects, use the upholstery nozzle.
- Step on the reversible floor nozzle (1) switch to adjust the position of the brush. This position is suitable for parquet, soft surfaces or tiles. For carpets or mats, step again on the brush "—".
Switching on the appliance
- Pull out the cable completely.
- Insert the plug into the socket, press the ON/OFF button (7).
- When using the appliance, make sure that the flexible hose is not blocked, twisted or trapped.
Switching off the appliance.
- Press the ON/OFF button (7), pull the plug out of the socket.
- Wind up the cable with the cable winder (6).
- Easily carry the floor vacuum cleaner by the handle.
11 Cleaning and storage
CAUTION
RISK OF INJURY!
Improper use of the appliance can result in injuries.
NOTE
Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning. For optimal use of the device and to ensure a longer service life, regularly empty the container and clean the filters.
ATTENTION
Do not immerse the motor, plug or mains power cable in water or any other liquid (clean only with a dry cloth).
Replacing the HEPA filter
The HEPA filter is used to filter out viruses, respirable dusts, dust mite eggs and excretions, pollen, smoke particles, asbestos, bacteria, various toxic dusts and aerosols from the air.
NOTE!
Replace the HEPA filter every 6 months.
Replace the motor protection filter every 10 months.
A replacement filter set consisting of:
5x vacuum cleaner dust bags
1x motor protection filter,
1x HEPA filter
1x replacement filter set is included in the scope of supply. Order more replacement filter sets for a fee at www.ggv-service.de.
11.1 Cleaning/replacing the motor protection filter
- Open the vacuum cleaner cover using the lock.
- First remove the vacuum cleaner dust bag and then the protective grille of the motor filter.
- Replace the motor filter and replace the protective grille and the vacuum cleaner dust bag.
Cleaning the motor
Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
Do not use water, steel wool or abrasive products.
Storage when not in use for a long period of time If the appliance is not used for a long period of time, it is recommended to
- cover it and
- keep it in a dry place,
• in an upright position.
The appliance is protected from dust and moisture in its original packaging.
12 Troubleshooting

13 General warranty terms
The following terms describing the preconditions for and scope of our warranty, do not infringe the warranty rights of the ultimate buyer. Our warranty for this appliance is granted under the following terms:
As the purchaser of an Exquisit appliance, you have a manufacturer's warranty (2 years from the date of purchase).
During this warranty period, you have the option of making your claims directly on the manufacturer's service platform at www.ggv-service.de.
If you take out an additional warranty with your dealer, any claims after the expiry of the 24-month manufacturer's warranty are excluded. In this case, please contact your dealer directly. Warranty period
The warranty period is 24 months from the date of purchase (proof of purchase must be presented). During the first 6 months, defects in the appliance are remedied free of charge on condition that the appliance is accessible for repairs without any great effort. During the following 18 months, the buyer is obliged to prove that the defect already existed at the time of delivery.
In the case of commercial use (e.g. in hotels, canteens) or joint use by several households, the warranty period is 12 months from the date of purchase (proof of purchase must be presented). During the first 6 months, defects in the appliance are remedied free of charge on condition that the appliance is accessible for repairs without any great effort.
During the following 6 months, the buyer is obliged to prove that the defect already existed at the time of delivery.
The claim under warranty does not prolong the warranty period for either the appliance or for newly installed parts.
Scope of the defect remedy
Within the periods indicated, we will remedy all defects in the appliance that are demonstrably attributable to poor workmanship or material flaws. Replaced parts become our property.
The warranty does not cover:
Normal wear, deliberate or negligent damage, damage resulting from a failure to observe the instruction manual, improper installation and set-up or connection to the wrong mains power supply, damage caused by chemical or electrothermal effects or other abnormal environmental conditions, glass, paintwork or enamel damage and possible differences in colour as well as defective lamps.
Defects in the appliance resulting from transport damage are also not covered. We are also not obliged to perform defect remedies, if – without our express written authorisation – work is carried out on the Exquisit appliance by unauthorised persons or third-party parts have been used.
This limitation shall not apply to faultless work carried out by a qualified person using our original parts to adapt the appliance to the technical safety regulations of another EU member state.
Scope
Our warranty applies to appliances purchased and in operation in the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria.
In the case of complaints about defective appliances, the sender's and recipient's addresses must be in the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria.
For appliances purchased and operated in other European countries, the warranty conditions of the seller apply.
For repairs outside the warranty period:
- If an appliance is repaired, the repair invoices are payable immediately without deduction.
14 Disposal
Disposal of packaging materials
Sort packaging materials before disposal. Paper and cardboard with the waste paper and plastic film in the recycled materials bin.
Disposing of old appliances (EN)
Old appliances must not be disposed of with household waste
The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin on the product or its packaging means that the appliance must not be disposed of with household waste but requires separate disposal. You can
return the old appliance free of charge to a suitable municipal collection point for old electrical and electronic equipment, e.g. a recycling centre. You can obtain the addresses from your city administration or local government.
Alternatively, you can return old electrical appliances with an edge length of up to 25 cm free of charge to retailers with a sales area for electrical and electronic equipment of at least 400 m ^2 or food retailers with a total sales area of at least 800 m ^2 who offer electrical and electronic equipment at least several times a year.
Larger old appliances can be returned free of charge to an appropriate retailer when purchasing a new appliance of the same type that performs essentially the same functions as the new appliance. Please contact your dealer regarding the modalities of returning an old appliance when delivering the new appliance.
Please remove - if possible - all (rechargeable) batteries as well as all lamps that can be removed without destroying them before disposing of the product.
Please note that you are responsible for deleting personal data from the appliance to be disposed of.
Children can often not recognise the hazards associated with household appliances. Ensure the necessary supervision and do not let children play with the appliance.
Disposing of old appliances (AT)
The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin on the product or its packaging means that the appliance must not be disposed of with household waste but requires separate disposal. You can return the old appliance free of charge a suitable municipal collection point for old electrical and electronic equipment, e.g. a recycling centre. You can obtain the addresses from your city administration or local government. Alternatively, you can return old electrical appliances free of charge when you buy a new appliance of the same type and with the same function from an offline retailer. Please contact your dealer regarding the modalities of returning an old appliance when delivering the new appliance.
