How to connect the cable?

The cable connects to the headphone via a lockable 3-pole mini-XLR socket. Make sure the release button is facing outward from the headphone and click the socket into the housing. Only plug the jack into a headphone output.

How to replace the ear pads?

Gently remove the used ear pad from the housing with your fingers. Insert the plastic tab of the new ear pad into the notch on the housing, then turn it clockwise until it is securely fastened. Turn it several times in the direction of the arrow for a perfect fit.

How to clean the headphone?

Clean the padding and ear pads with a slightly damp soft cloth (water only). Avoid water entering the housings. For a deep clean, remove the ear pads and padding and wash them in slightly soapy water, then let them dry completely before reassembling. Never use solvents or vacuum cleaner.

What are the risks of prolonged use?

Prolonged listening at high volume can cause hearing damage and permanent deafness. Follow recommended listening times (e.g., max 8h at 85 dB). If you experience tinnitus, reduce volume or stop use.

Can I use this headphone on the street?

It is not recommended to use headphones on public roads as they reduce perception of ambient noise, posing a risk to road safety. Do not use them near dangerous machinery or level crossings either.

What accessories are included with the headphone?

The DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition comes with: a 3 m mini-XLR connection cable, a 3.5 mm to 6.35 mm screw-on adapter, and a drawstring bag.

How to replace the headband padding?

Carefully unbutton the used padding and remove it. Place the new padding over the headband and connection cable, then fasten it in place.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Risk of injury

We would like to point out that an excess of high volumes and long periods of listening may cause hearing damage. Hearing defects always constitute an irreversible impairment of hearing ability.
▶ If you suffer from tinnitus, do not use headphones, or reduce the volume.
According to regulations to protect employees against damages caused by noise and vibrations, please follow these instructions:

When connecting the headphones, please ensure that the volume is turned down to minimum. Adjust the volume after putting on the headphones.

Danger to life

- Headphones drastically reduce perception of external sounds. Using headphones in road traffic can be potentially dangerous. The user's hearing must not be impaired to the extent that it causes road safety risks. Please also make sure that you do not use the headphones in traffic or within an area of potentially dangerous machines and tools. - Furthermore, avoid using the headphones in situations where hearing must not be affected, especially when crossing a railway crossing or at a construction site.

APPLICATION

The DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition is a closed studio headphone suitable for professional recording and monitoring in the studio as well as on the move.
Due to the low-impedance STELLAR.45 driver, the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition delivers studio reference sound on a wide range of end devices.
The detachable, single-sided mini XLR cable makes it easier to handle the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition when it has to be used frequently.
The rugged headband made of spring steel gives the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition a secure fit and the mechanical reliability needed for daily use.
▶ Soft ear and headband pads contribute to a high long-term comfort when wearing. If necessary, headband and ear pads can be replaced.
The connection cable is provided with a gold-plated mini stereo jack plug (3.5 mm) with a 1/4" adapter (6.35 mm) and can be connected to all common headphone outputs.

MAINTENANCE

As with any equipment which will be used near sensitive areas of the body, it is essential that the ear pads and headband are kept clean. Use a soft cloth moistened with water for cleaning. Make sure that no water drops into the ear cups or transducers.
If necessary, you can carefully remove the ear pads and headband pad and clean them with mild soapy water.

Never use any solvent cleaning agents! Furthermore, the pads must be completely dry before they are re-attached to the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition.

Never use a vaccum cleaner for cleaning the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition, as this may cause irreparable damage.

Should it become necessary to replace the ear pads or the headband pad, refer to "Replacement parts and Accessories". You can easily do this yourself.
If other components must be replaced, please contact your local beyerdynamic representative.

HOW TO CONNECT THE CABLE

The lockable cable is fitted with a 3-pin mini XLR cable connector at the end that connects to the headphone.
To attach the cable correctly, the small release button of the cable must face outward.
When connecting the cable, make sure that the cable connector locks in place under the ear cup of the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition.

When you want to change the cable, please press the small release button, and simultaneously pull the cable connector from the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition.

Connect the stereo jack plug of the cable to a headphone output only! If you connect the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition to any other jack socket, it could be damaged.

HOW TO CHANGE THE EAR PADS

▶ Use your fingertips to carefully pull the ear pad away from the housing.

Insert the plastic lip of the ear pad into the groove of the housing and turn the ear pad clockwise until it is fully attached.

▶ Turn the attached ear pad a few times, as indicated by the arrow.

HOW TO CHANGE THE HEADBAND PAD

Carefully unbutton the headband pad and remove it.

Place the new headband pad around the headband and connecting cable.
