How to turn on and off the Thomson WKR50BT radio?

To turn on, press and hold the MODE button. To turn off, press and hold the same button or the OFF button (depending on version).

How to set the time on the radio?

Put the radio in standby (press OFF for 2 sec). Press and hold the clock button, use the fast forward/backward buttons to set hours then minutes, and press clock again to confirm.

How to pair a phone via Bluetooth?

Turn on the radio, press MODE to select BLUE mode. On your phone, enable Bluetooth and look for WKR50BT in the list. Select it to pair. A sound confirms success.

How to search for FM stations?

In FM mode, press and hold the SCAN button for 2 seconds. The radio automatically searches for strong stations and stores them (up to 50). Use the previous/next buttons to navigate.

Getting started

• Take the appliance out of the box.
• Remove all the packaging from the product.
• Place the packaging inside the box or dispose of it safely in compliance with the waste sorting instructions shown on the product packaging.

Safety warning and notice

Power supply

1. Connect the mains adapter to the input located at the back of the radio, under the waterproof cover, then plug into a mains socket. Always use the correct AC adapter. Otherwise, your radio may malfunction or be damaged.
2. For cordless operation, you can use batteries. Using a suitable screwdriver, unscrew the battery compartment door on the back of the radio and remove it.
3. Install 6 LR14 type batteries observing the correct polarity. Then replace the flap and reinsert the screw to keep the compartment watertight. If the radio does not turn on, check installation and polarity, or change the batteries.
4. Always remove the batteries if you won't be using the radio for a long time.

FM radio

1. Turn on the radio.
2. Select FM radio mode: Press MODE to enter FM RADIO mode: the FM indicator and frequency will appear on the screen.
3. Press the SCAN button for 2 sec to automatically search for radio stations with strong reception. All available stations will be stored in order of their registration number and the first pre-stored radio station will be broadcast automatically.
4. In FM radio mode, press button or No select the pre-stored radio station of your choice.

Note: You can try moving the FM antenna for better reception.

Bluetooth pairing

1. Turn on the radio.
2. Press the MODE button to enter Bluetooth mode. The display will show BLUE.
3. In your device settings, go to the Bluetooth function, search for WKR50BT in the list of your devices and select it. After pairing, your radio will emit a tone to confirm successful pairing.
4. Play music from your phone or favourite streaming service.

Setting the time

1. To set the time, put the product on standby (press the Off button for 2 sec) then longpress the clock button to enter time-setting mode.
2. Press the fast forward or fast reverse buttons to increase or decrease the hour digit.
3. Press the clock button again to set the minutes.
4. Press the fast forward or fast reverse buttons to increase or decrease the minute digit.
5. Press the clock button again to save the time and exit setting mode.

The clock will then function normally. Simply press the clock button to display the time.

Comment: The radio clock can operate for 24 hours without a power supply.

If you want to keep the time longer without connecting the radio to the mains, you must put batteries in the compartment provided for this purpose.

Operation and functions

1. Volume: In FM/AUX in/Bluetooth mode, rotate clockwise to increase the volume. Rotate anti-clockwise to reduce the volume. 360 degree continuous rotation.
2. SCAN: Press for 2 sec to quickly scan all available FM stations and pre-store them.
3. MODE: Short-press to switch between Bluetooth/AUX IN and FM modes.
4. Long-press to power off and on.

6. In Bluetooth play mode, short-press to select the previous track. In FM mode, short-press to select the previous station after all stations have been fully scanned.

9. USB charging port: Use your USB cable to connect your mobile device to charge. Charging from the USB port. Please note that the USB port works with any device that can be charged at 5V 1A. Always use the AC adapter if you want to charge from the USB port.

10. In Bluetooth play mode, short-press to select the next track. In FM mode, short-press to select the next station after full scan of all stations. Short-press to advance when setting the clock.

13. PROG: Short-press to quickly skip through all available preset stations. Long-press to save the current station in the available space. 14. After Bluetooth is paired, long-press this button to force Bluetooth disconnection and change the connection.

Warning about batteries

This product contains one or more batteries.

• Use batteries correctly to prevent any injury or fire caused by a leak, overheating, explosion, erosion or other damage.

• Do not use different types of battery or a mixture of new and old batteries at the same time.
• Insert the batteries according to the correct polarity (+ and -).
• Do not put the same battery poles in contact with each other.
• Remove dead batteries quickly. There is a risk of the battery exploding if this is not replaced correctly or if the appliance is not used for a period of time.
• Replace the battery with an identical or equivalent model.
• The batteries (or battery pack) must not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sunlight, fire, etc.
• Do not heat batteries and do not dispose of them in fire or water.
• Do not use metal pliers or metal objects such as the point of a pen or tweezers to remove batteries. Avoid deforming, crushing or piercing batteries.
• Do not disassemble the batteries.

• Cover the ends of the batteries with tape to prevent explosions and combustion when these need to be scrapped.
