Frequently Asked Questions - PRO-PSS 900 E Toolson

How to change the saw blade?
Disconnect the tool. Push the blade change lever (6) downwards, insert the blade into the slot (a) until it stops, then release the lever. Check that the blade is locked by pulling on it.
How to adjust the base plate (shoe)?
Disconnect the tool. Loosen the base plate lock lever (8), slide the base plate (5) to the desired position, then tighten the lever. Ensure the base plate is securely fixed before use.
How to use the pendulum function?
The pendulum stroke is activated by moving the function switch (7) to position C. This makes the blade oscillate forward and backward to improve cutting efficiency. Note that the base plate must be at 180° or 360° for this position.
Can I rotate the base plate for bevel cuts?
Yes, you can rotate the base plate to 4 positions (90°, 180°, 270°, 360°). To rotate it, set the function switch (7) to position A, turn the base plate, then lock it in position B.
What materials can I cut with this saw?
The saw is designed for cutting wood, steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics. Always use the appropriate blade for the material. The maximum cutting depth is 200 mm in wood and 20 mm in steel.
How to use the saw for plunge cuts?
Place the saw directly on the material, start it (switch 1) and push it against the workpiece. Adjust the cutting speed to the material. The built-in depth stop allows control of penetration.
What are important safety measures?
Always wear safety glasses, a dust mask and hearing protection. Do not work with materials containing asbestos. Always disconnect the tool before any adjustment or blade change.
How to maintain the saw?
Clean the ventilation slots and housing regularly with a damp cloth (no water inside). Have the carbon brushes checked by a specialist if they produce excessive sparks. Internal parts require no maintenance.
What to do if the mains connection cable is damaged?
Do not use the tool. Have the cable replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or a qualified person to avoid any danger.
How to dispose of the device at the end of its life?
Do not dispose of the appliance with household waste. Take it to an appropriate collection point for recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Consult your local authority for the nearest location.
