1 | Introduction Thank you for choosing this warming product. This is a quality product that should last a long time when used properly. The warming pad has 3 heating zones. This is determined by the distance between the heating wires. The warmest zone is at the foot end. The greatest space between the heating wires is in the zone near the heating wire couplers. 2 | Important safety hints Retain the manual for further use!

• Forward the manual to other users.

• This device is not intended to be used unsupervised by children, individuals with sensory deprivation of any kind or mentally challenged individuals. Any users falling into these categories should be assisted by a responsible adult.

• Do not prick in with needles or other sharp objects

• only to pre-heat the mattress

• do not place underneath the mattress always put on top

• do not fold blanket if still warm

• do not place heavy or edged objects on the device, which may damage or bend the electrical wires inside the blanket (eg. Suit cases )

• Keep plug and connecting cable dry at all times

• The switch will get warm and therefore should not be covered, because of danger of overheating

• Do not use the blanket, if it self or part are damaged

• After use pull plug out o mains plug

• Do not place other heaters or heat producing objects onto the device

• The heating blanket is not meant for use in hospitals

• If used with an automatic bed make sure, that the bed does not fold or bend the blanket, so that the blanket will not be damaged by the movement of the bed

• If there is any damage visible If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a quali ed person, to avoid a hazard. In this case please contact the Sgl service hotline.

• If it is used for another purpose or operated incorrectly, no liability for possible damages can be accepted.

• The electric and magnetic elds generated by this electric underblanket might a ect the functions of pacemakers or implantable de brillators.Please consult your physician or the implant’s manufacturer before using this electric underblanket.

• Pregnant women are recommended to consult their physician before using the electric underblanket.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the appliance.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• This appliance must not be used by persons insensitive to heat and other very vulnerable persons who are unable to react to overheating.

• Children under the age of three are not to use this appliance due to their inability to react to overheating.

• The instructions shall specify the appropriate settings of controls for continuous use of the appliance.

• Examine the appliance frequently for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs, if the appliance has been misused or does not work, return it to the supplier before switching it on again.

• If you are taking certain medicines, the skin may be more sensitive to heat. Please consult your doctor.12 3 | Intended use The technical safety of this product is assured by its compliance to European standards. The safety guidelines in the instruction book must be followed. It is however not intended to treat medical conditions. As an added safety measure against overheating it contanies a temerature sensative sensor cable. After 30 minutes pre-heating the desired temperature is reached, and will be maintained for another 90 minutes unless the blanket gets switched o before. The bed should be warm not hot. The hand is not as sensitive towards heat as other body parts. The heat is dicult to determine when touching with your hands, other than the heat pillow. Important: If you feel unwell or suer any kind of injury, you must consult your doctor. 4 | Start-up If this device is stored near freezing, allow it to acclimate to room temperature before use. a Place the unit’s mains plug into wall outlet. The electric blanket is ready for use b The electric blanket is placed on the mattress and under the sheet It is not designed for use with animals. Inappropriate use can damage the surface of the blanket and the xing of the heating wires. If damaged, the blanket must not be used anymore. In this case please contact the service hotline.

4.1 | Operating instructions

The switch has four levels: Level 0: appliance o Level 1: minimum heat Level 2: medium heat Level 3: maximum heat For overnight use, setting 1 is recommended. To reduce the risk of burns, re, electric shock or injury to persons:

• Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning.

• This appliance should only be connected to the AC mains with the voltage given on type sign on the appliance.

• Please don‘t use it in the bathroom or other place with high humidity.

4.2 | Automatic switch off

120 minutes after switching on (30 minutes pre-heat and 90 minutes maintenance) the electric blanket switches o automatically. If the blanket should stay in use you have to switch on to level 0. Afterwards the blanket is ready for another 120 minutes use. 5 | Cleaning and storing

• Unplug the appliance from the outlet and allow it to cool before storing in its box or a clean, dry place.

• After the control unit for the heat pad is removed, it can be washed up to 30°. Coil the cord and secure it with the supplied fastener

• Store in a clean, dry place
