NoteforusersofWindows®98:Firstdownloadthedriverfromourhomepageathttp://www.trekstor.de. Then install the driver before connecting the i.Beat cebrax to your PC. Connect the i.Beat cebrax to a USB port of your PC. Your operating system will immediately recognize the i.Beat cebrax and will add a "de v i c e W i t h re m o v A b l e st o r A g e " under "my co m p u t e r ".

a) Select the desired files (such as MP3) with the mouse. Copy these files by clicking them with your right mouse button and then selecting "co p y ". b) Under "m y co m p u t e r ", select the device with removable storage, "tr e K st o r i.be A t c e b r A x ". c) Click it with your right mouse button, and select "p A s t e " to start copying. After copying is over, the data will be available on the i.Beat cebrax.

4) Logging off the TrekStor i.Beat cebrax and disconnecting from the PC

Windows® 98 (SE) Look for i.Beat cebrax under "de v i c e mA n A g e r " (under "dr i v e s "), and click the device with the left mouse button. Select the menu item "re m o v e ". You can now disconnect the i.Beat cebrax from the PC. Windows® 2000/ME/XP At the bottom right on the task bar, click your right mouse button on the symbol

Turningthedeviceonandoff Turn on the i.Beat cebrax by briefly pressing the button. To turn off the i.Beat cebrax, hold the button for approximately 3 seconds. Note:Makesurethatthe

switch has been moved to the left, i.e., that the button lock is turned off. If the button lock is activated, the button lock symbol or a corresponding message will appear. Differentmodes The i.Beat cebrax has different modes. To go to a mode, hold the button for approxi- mately 1 second. Push the joystick to the left or right to select the desired mode, and confirm by pressing the button again. Leave the menu by pressing the button. Mode: Music Switch to "m u s i c " mode.

• Playback Briefly press the button to start playing an audio file.

• Pause Briefly press the button to stop playing the file. Repress the button to continue playing the file.

• Stop Press the button for approximately 1 second to stop playing the file. Repress the button to start playing the beginning of the song. EN– 8 – – 9 –

• Changetitle Push the joystick to the right to select the next song. If you push the joystick to the left within 5 seconds after a playback starts, you switch to the prior title. If you push the joystick to the left after a playback starts and after at least 5 seconds, the i.Beat cebrax returns to the beginning of the current title.

• Rewind/fast-forwardwithinasong You can navigate within a song by continuing to press the joystick in one direction or the other. Hold the joystick to the right or left to fast-forward or rewind. Note:Thelongeryouholdthejoystickinonedirection,thefasterthedevicewillgoforwardorrewind.

• Volumeincrease/volumedecrease Briefly press the joystick up or down to increase or decrease the volume. Note:Ifyoukeepholdingthejoystickup or down , the volume changes gradually. Special feature for the playback of Audible files When listening to Audible audio books (file extension *.aa), you can jump forward and backward to individual chapters if you change into the chapter mode by briefly pressing the 3-button. Note: If the chapter mode is active, the c symbol is displayed on your i.Beat cebrax. You can jump to the following or preceding chapter of the current Audible audio book by moving the joystick to the right J or to the left I. If you want to leave the chapter mode, you have to briefly press the 3 button once again. Foldernavigation You get to folder navigation in "m u s i c " mode by briefly pressing the button. By pressing the joystick to the right or left you mark the next or previous file. To play the selected file, press the button. To change to a subfolder, press the button briefly if the folder is marked. To return to the main directory, press the button. To leave folder navigation, press the button when you are in the main directory.

• Deletingafileusingfoldernavigation Select the file you want to delete using folder navigation, and briefly press the button. To confirm that you want to delete the file, switch to "y e s " by pressing the joystick to the left or right , and then press the button. since the earphone cable serves as an antenna for the internal radio. Briefly press the button to open a menu. You can now start the automatic station search, save stations and delete them. To leave FM radio mode, hold the button for about 1 second, and the main menu will appear.

• Automaticmemoryassignment/automaticstationsearch To start the automatic station search, switch in the menu to "A u t o s c A n ", and confirm by pressing the button. The i.Beat cebrax

now automatically searches for the radio stations with the strongest reception and saves them in 20 memory locations.

• Switchingbetweenmanualstationselectionandmemorymode Briefly press the button to switch between manual station selection "m A n u A l " and memory mode "s t A t i o n ".

• Switchingbetweensavedstations In "s t A t i o n " mode, you can switch between available presets by briefly pressing the joystick to the left or to the right .

• Manuallychangefrequency/manualsearch In "m A n u A l " mode, briefly push the joystick to the left or right to change the reception frequency by 0.1 MHz. Hold down the joystick to the left or right for the i.Beat cebrax

to automatically scan the upper and lower frequencies for stations with the strongest reception.

• Savingindividualstations Change to manual station selection "m A n u A l ". Choose the desired frequency, and select "sA v e s t A t i o n " from the menu. Select a memory by moving the joystick to the left or right and press the button to save the station.

• Deletingsavedstations Select "d e l e t e s t A t i o n " from the menu. Then select a saved station by moving the joystick to the left or right and confirm the deletion by pressing the button.

EN– 10 – – 11 – Mode:Voicerecording Switch to "v o i c e " mode. You can record your voice using the integrated microphone. Briefly press the button to start voice recording. Briefly press the button again to stop recording. Note:Allvoicerecordingsaresavedinthe"VOICE"folderofthe i.Beat cebrax. Mode:Settings Switch to the "s e t t i n g s " mode. This mode allows you to set the equalizer, the different playback functions, the duration of the display, the contrast, the energy-saving mode and the sleep timer. Push the joystick to the left or the right to select the desired setting, and confirm by pressing the button. Mode:System Switch to the "s y s t e m " mode. In this mode, you can display the current firmware version, the entire memory and free memory of the i.Beat cebrax. You can also set or load the language and the default settings. Push the joystick to the left or the right to select the desired information or setting, and confirm by pressing the button. Note:

• ThisMP3playerisoptimizedfortheprovidedearphones(32Ohmimpedance).Usingotherearphoneswithalowerimpedance candamagetheMP3playerorearphone,especiallyMP3playerswith2earphonejacks.

• Note:Thisdevicecanproducehighvolumes.Topreventhearingloss,donotlistentohighvolumesforlongperiods.Ifyounoticea ringingnoiseinyourears,lowerthevolumeimmediatelyorstopusingtheMP3player.Pleasekeepinmindthatusingearphonesor headphones at loud volumes may result in permanent hearing loss. While you become accustomed to higher volumes over time, so that they may seem normal to you, your sense of hearing can still be impaired. The higher you adjust the volume, the faster your sense of hearing can be damaged.

• Note:Usingearphoneswhiledrivingamotorvehicleisnotrecommendedandisprohibitedinsomecountries.Alwaysdrivecarefully andwithfullconcentration.StopusingyourMP3playerifyoubecomedistractedorinterruptedbyitwhendrivingamotorvehicleor during other activities that require your full attention.
