Frequently Asked Questions - CSOLBF Perel

How to install the Perel CSOLBF?
Use the template to drill two holes. Insert the nylon plugs, then partially screw in the bottom screw. Slide the notch of the lamp onto this screw, straighten and tighten the top screw. Orient the solar panel southward for optimal charging.
How to select lighting modes?
Press the Mode button: once for mode A (100% brightness then reduction after 10 s), twice for mode B (off after 10 s), three times to turn off the device.
What is the battery life?
Battery life depends on sunlight. After a full charge of 6 hours, the lamp can light all night in economy mode. In full power mode, duration is reduced.
What to do if the lamp does not turn on?
Check that the solar panel is clean and well exposed to sunlight. Ensure the lamp is not installed near a stray light source (e.g., streetlight). Press the Mode button three times to reset.
How to clean the solar panel?
Clean occasionally with a damp cloth. Do not use aggressive chemicals, solvents, or strong detergents.
Can I replace the battery or LED?
No, the rechargeable battery and light source are built-in and are not replaceable. At end of life, the device must be disposed of in accordance with regulations.
What is the range of the motion detector?
The range is approximately ± 6 meters with a detection angle of 120°.
What does IP54 rating mean?
IP54 means the device is protected against splashing water and dust deposits. It can be used outdoors but not immersed.
How to ensure optimal charging?
Place the solar panel in a sunny spot, oriented south if possible, without shade. Avoid nearby light sources (streetlights) that could confuse the sensor.
The lamp turns off too soon, what to do?
This may be due to insufficient battery charge. Ensure the solar panel receives enough direct sunlight. Lighting duration varies with season and sun angle.

5. Installation

Mounting Location

When the lamp is installed in a location that receives less sunlight, it will operate for fewer hours per night. Night lighting time can also vary depending on how bright the sky is on any given day. Insufficient charging of the battery will affect performance and may result in premature switching-off due to an insufficient battery charge. Install the solar panel as much as possible towards the south in order to maximize exposure to direct sunlight. Please note that the four different seasons (and the sun's angle in these periods) can affect the lighting time of the lamp. Select a location that is not located close to other light sources, such as street lighting, because this enables the lamp to switch off automatically. Maximum lighting time depends on sunlight and daytime charging.

Installation

  1. Use the card to measure the position of the holes correctly. Drill two holes.
  2. Insert a nylon plug in each hole.
  3. Insert a screw in the lower nylon plug and tighten slightly. Insert the lower notch of the lamp onto the screw.
  4. Straighten the lamp and fasten the upper screw.
  5. Press the mode button to adjust the working mode.

Working Mode

  1. Press the mode button once to enter mode A. This mode automatically switches on to full brightness when a motion has been detected. It switches to weak brightness for 10 seconds after the last motion detection.

Occasionally wipe with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.
