Although equipped with several protections, only use the controller for its intended purpose. Using the controller in an unauthorized way will void the warranty. The warranty will not cover damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.

  • memory function: the device remembers the last used function on power loss. On power restore, the last used function is automatically activated.
  • use only with a power supply of max. 60 W / 12 V or 120 W / 24 V

5. Overview

Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.

  1. on-off/standby: press to switch the dimmer on or off, or to switch to standby mode.
      1. dynamic mode: switch to dynamic mode or between different dynamic modes
      1. speed: dynamic mode speed adjustment
      1. static colour adjustment: switch to dynamic mode or between static colours
  2. direct colour: direct colour selection
      1. brightness: static mode brightness adjustment
  3. demo mode: demo mode with 17 dynamic modes in loop repeated for 3 times

6. Installation

Connect the power supply and LED strip according to the correct polarity. Do not short circuit the LED output as this may permanently damage the dimmer! Please do not install the dimmer in a metal casing or near large metal objects.

7. Operation

7.1 Pairing the Remote Control

The dimmer and included remote control are paired by default. To pair a new remote:

  1. Remove the power supply to the dimmer, and reapply the power supply after 5 seconds.
  2. Wait for 5 seconds, aim the remote control to the dimmer. Simultaneously hold [SPEED-] and [SPEED+] pressed for 5 seconds.
  3. The remote control is paired to the dimmer.

7.2 Pairing the Remote Control to Several Dimmers

One remote can also be used to control several dimmers simultaneously. To do so:

  1. Remove the power supply to the dimmer, and reapply the power supply after 5 seconds.
  2. Wait for 5 seconds, aim the remote control to the dimmer. Simultaneously hold [on-off] and [MODE+] pressed for 5 seconds.
  3. The dimmer will recognize any remote control.

7.3 Colour Sequence

To change the default output signal:

  1. Remove the power supply to the dimmer, and reapply the power supply after 5 seconds.
  2. Wait for 5 seconds, aim the remote control to the dimmer. Simultaneously hold the red and blue keys pressed for 5 seconds. The output sequence will switch between six possible combinations.

8. Cleaning and Maintenance

This controller does not need any particular maintenance. Occasionally wipe the controller with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents to clean the detector.

In order to ensure the quality, our products regularly go through an extra quality check, both by an internal quality department and by specialized external organisations. If, all precautionary measures notwithstanding, problems should occur, please make appeal to our warranty (see guarantee conditions).

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):

  • All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.
  • Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion. You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.

• Not covered by warranty:

- all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity...), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;

- flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions:

- damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);

- damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;

- all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.

- Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

- Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.

- Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.

- The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
