- Screw the pump connection angle (5) onto the pump connection (7).
- Screw the connecting branch for hose (6) onto the pump connection angle (5).
- Put the hose over the connecting branch for hose (6) and fasten it with a hose clamp. Alternatively, use a screw connection on the pump connection an- gle (5) or on the connecting branch for hose (6).
- Check that the pump is standing rmly on the bottom of the shaft or hung up safely.
- Check whether the pressure line has been attached correctly and the un- used pump outlet is fully closed.
- Avoid that the pump runs dry.
- Check that the electrical connection is 220V~ - 240V~ 50Hz
Open the packaging and remove the de- vice carefully. Remove the packaging material as well as the packaging and transport bracing (if available). Check that the delivery is complete. Adjustment of the oat switch
- The oat switch (3) is set so that im- mediate commissioning is possible. For stationary installation the function of the oat switch (3) must be checked regularly (at least every three months).
- The oat switch must be attached so that the switching point ON level and the switching point OFF level can be reached easily and with little expendi- ture of energy.
- Check this by placing the pump into a vessel lled with water and lift the oat switch carefully by hand and then low- er it again. In this case, you can see whether the pump switches on and o.
- During the adjustment of the oat switch, ensure that the oat switch does not contact the oor before the pump switches o. Attention! Risk of running dry and damage to the device. Electrical connection The electrical motor installed is connect- ed and ready for operation. The connec- tion complies with the applicable VDE and DIN provisions. Damaged electrical connection cable The insulation on electrical connection cables is often damaged. This may have the following causes:
- Passage points, where connection ca- bles are passed through windows or doors.
- Kinks where the connection cable has been improperly fastened or routed.
- Places where the connection cables have been cut due to being driven over.
- Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the wall outlet.
- Check the proper status of the electri- cal plug socket and make sure that the plug socket is suciently fused (at least 6 A). Insert the pump plug into the plug socket and the pump is ready for oper- ation.
- Make sure that moisture or water nev- er come in contact with the mains con- nection.
- There is a risk of electrocution.
9. Initial operation
m IMPORTANT! You must fully assemble the appliance before using it for the rst time! Positioning/Hanging
- The dimensions of the pump shaft must be not less than 45 x 45 x 45 cm, in or- der that the oat switch (3) can move freely.
- The pump can be suspended by the handle (1) or placed on the shaft oor. The pump can be suspended and/or re- moved using a rope.
- For safe suspension, loop the rope around two of the holders of the han- dle (1) and guide it upwards through the handle (1).
- Never suspend the pump by the hose.
- Immerse the pump in the water to be sucked in by forming an angle of 45 degrees (to reduce the amount of air trapped in the pump body). If the pump is resting on the oor, make sure that it is on a at and stable surface
- Make sure that there are no people in the liquid to be pumped.
- Connect the pump to the mains. www.scheppach.com / service@scheppach.com / +(49)-08223-4002-99 / +(49)-08223-4002-58
- In the case of a long period of non-use, the pump must be thoroughly cleaned after the last use and before the new use, since diculties in start-up can arise due to precipitation and residues. Cleaning the impeller wheel If the impeller wheel is dirty or blocked, you can clean it via the pump connection (7) or by removing the oor plate (8):
1. Screw the pump connection angle (5)
o the pump connection (7).
2. Remove the screws at the bottom of
the pump housing and take o the oor plate (8).
3. Remove the screws at the bottom of the
foot part (9) and take o the foot part (9).
4. Clean the impeller wheel with clear wa-
5. The re-assembly takes place in reverse
order. Store the device and its accessories in a dark, dry and frost-proof place that is in- accessible to children. The optimum stor- age temperature is between 5 and 30˚C. Cover the electrical tool in order to pro- tect it from dust and moisture.Store the operating manual with the electrical tool. Maintenance The pump is largely maintenance-free. However, we recommend regular inspec- tions and care for a long service life. Connections and repairs Connections and repairs of electrical equipment may only be carried out by an electrician.
- Cracks due to the insulation ageing. Such damaged electrical connection ca- bles must not be used and are life-threat- ening due to the insulation damage. Check the electrical connection cables for damage regularly. Make sure that the connection cable does not hang on the power network during the inspection. Electrical connection cables must comply with the applicable VDE and DIN provi- sions. Only use connection cables with the marking „H05RN-F“.
10. Cleaning, maintenance
and storage Cleaning Attention! Always unplug the power cord before cleaning. General cleaning instructions
- In case of transport for utilization in dierent locations, the pump must be cleaned with clear water after every use.
- In case of stationary installation, the function of the oat switch (3) is to be checked regularly (at the latest every three months).
- With a water jet, remove u and brous particles which are possibly present in the pump casing
- Regularly remove sludge from the pit base (at the latest every 3 months) and also clean the shaft walls
- Clean precipitation from the oat switch with clear water, www.scheppach.com / service@scheppach.com / +(49)-08223-4002-99 / +(49)-08223-4002-58
