1. Explanation of warning symbols and notes
Risk of electric shock This symbol indicates a risk of electric shock from touching uninsulated product parts that may carry hazardous voltage. Warning This symbol is used to indicate safety instructions or to draw your attention to specic hazards and risks. Note This symbol is used to indicate additional information or important notes.

- Use the product only for the intended purpose.
- Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specications.
- Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
- Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualied experts.
- Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
- Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
- Dispose of packaging material immediately in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
3.2 Rechargeable battery
Warning - rechargeable battery
- Only use suitable charging devices or USB ports to charge the product.
- Do not use defective chargers or USB ports and do not attempt to repair them.
- Do not overcharge the product or allow the battery to completely discharge.
- Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).
- When stored over a long period of time, batteries should be charged regularly (at least every three months).
- Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating and use it in dry environments only.
- Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Only use the article under moderate climatic conditions.
- The battery is integrated and cannot be removed.
- Do not incinerate the battery or the product.
- Do not tamper with or damage/heat/disassemble the batteries/rechargeable batteries.3
3.3 Power supply unit

- Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
- Do not use the product if the AC adapter, the adapter cable or the mains cable are damaged.

- Only operate the product from an approved socket that is connected to the public power supply. The socket must be installed close to the product and must be easily accessible.
- Disconnect the product from the power supply using the On/Off switch – if this is not available, unplug the power cord from the socket.
- If using a multi-socket power strip, make sure that the total power consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the socket strip's maximum throughput rating.
- If you will not be using the product for a prolonged period, disconnect it from mains power.
- Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating and use it in dry rooms only.
- The product is intended only for use inside buildings.
- Do not use the product in a damp environment and avoid splashing water.
- Do not bend or crush the cable.
3.4 Specific information about the product
Note - Waterproof properties
- With IP65, the doorbell is suciently protected against water and can also be used in the rain. IP65 offers protection against water jets from any angle. Be aware that, on contact with water, all ports must be sealed.
- Carefully seal the USB port after the charging process to ensure that the product is waterproof.
- Do not mount the product above locations where persons might sit or stand.
- Before mounting, check that the wall you have chosen is suitable for the weight to be mounted. Also make sure that there are no electric, water, gas or other lines running through the wall at the mounting site.
- Pay attention to the applicable data protection regulations before installing and using the product.
- Respect the personal and property rights of others. Do not make recordings of other people with the camera.
- Observe the right to one’s own image and spoken word when recording.
- If you are unsure about connecting the product to the mains supply, please contact a qualied electrician.

5.1 Battery operation
- Mount the bracket in a suitable place.
- Connect the USB charging cable included to the charging port on the doorbell and a suitable mains socket. Fully charge the doorbell.
- Place the doorbell in the bracket and secure it with the screw.
5.2 Mains operation (optional)
- Feed the AC power supply cables (AC 12V-24V) through the rectangular opening in the bracket and mount it in a suitable place.
- Connect the cables as shown (see wiring diagram A).
- Place the doorbell in the bracket and secure it with the screw.
6. Start-up and operation
Here's how easy it is: Download the app
- Download the Hama Smart Home (Solution) APP from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Open the Hama Smart Home (Solution) APP
- The rst time you use the app, you need to register and create a new account. If you already have an account, log in with your access details.
- Follow the instructions in the app. Note A detailed description of the Hama Smart Home (Solution) App and its full scope of functions can be found in our App Guide at: www.hama.com
App Operating Instructions Door chime
- Press the Reset button (3) to connect the door chime to the doorbell.
- The LED (2) on the door chime starts to ash.
- Then press the bell button (5) on the doorbell.
- The door chime is now connected to the doorbell and the LED (2) lights up permanently. Adjusting the volume or ring tone
- Navigate in the APP to the "Ring settings" tab.
- Set the desired volume and desired door chime.
- Press the Reset button (3) on the door chime.
- The LED (2) on the door chime starts to ash.
- Press the bell button (5).
- The settings are transferred. Note To ensure ringing of the mobile phone, this must not be set to silent / vibrate. Note: Pairing restart First remove the rubber protector on the back of the door chime. Now press the Reset button with a needle or another thin object until a signal sound is heard. As soon as the LED starts to ash red, you can start a further pairing attempt.5
7. Care and maintenance
Note Disconnect the product from the mains before cleaning and during prolonged periods of non-use.
- Only clean this product using a lint-free, slightly damp cloth and do not use any harsh cleaners.
- Ensure that no water is able to enter the product.
