Frequently Asked Questions - 3D ForceAnodized 850 iPump CECOTEC

How to fill the water tank?
Unplug the iron before filling. Set the temperature dial to minimum, tilt the iron at 45° on its heel and pour water up to the MAX mark. Use tap water or distilled water for hard water.
How to use the steam function?
Fill the tank, plug in the iron, select the appropriate temperature according to fabric. The indicator light changes from blue (heating) to red (ready). The iron emits steam continuously only in horizontal position and when the touch sensor is activated (hand on handle).
How to activate the steam burst?
Press the Steam burst button while ironing at high temperature. Do not hold for more than 5 seconds to avoid drips. Do not press more than 3 times in a row to avoid cooling the soleplate.
How to activate the i-Pump boost?
Press the i-Pump button once on the upper part. The LED indicator turns on and a slight sound is heard. To deactivate, press again and wait for the indicator to turn off.
What to do if the iron drips?
Check that the iron has reached the right temperature (red indicator). If the temperature is too low, wait for it to rise. Make sure the tank does not exceed the MAX mark. The anti-drip system may make a normal 'click' sound.
How to clean the soleplate?
After use, turn off and unplug the iron, let it cool. Use a damp cloth with vinegar to remove fabric residues. Do not use abrasive sponges or powder products.
How to perform self-cleaning?
Unplug the iron, fill the tank to MAX, set the maximum temperature, plug back in and wait for it to heat. Unplug again, hold the iron horizontally and press the Self-cleaning button. Boiling water and steam will come out to expel impurities. Repeat if necessary every 2 weeks.
Why does the iron turn off by itself?
The iron has an auto shut-off function: it turns off after 25 seconds in a stationary horizontal position or after 8 minutes in a vertical position. It emits 6 beeps and the indicator flashes red. To turn it back on, move or lift the iron.
Can I use scented water?
No, do not use scented water or chemically softened water. Use tap water or distilled water if water is very hard.
What to do if steam does not come out?
Check that the tank contains enough water and that the temperature dial is set to medium to high. If the holes are blocked, clean them with distilled water or a toothpick. Make sure the touch sensor is activated by holding the handle.
