2. Safety instructions

Attention! Use in garden ponds and their protected area is only permitted if the installation complies with the valid regulations. Please contact a qualified electrician.
Before use:
- Check connecting cables and plugs for damage.
- Important! If the unit or the connecting line of the pump is damaged, the pump(s) is/are unusable and have to be disposed of. A repair is not possible because the connection lines are firmly sealed.
- Do not subject the device to dull blows.

3. Range of use
This product is a floating water light operated with 6 V DC (direct current) with integrated solar collector for energy supply. This device is designed for use in fountains, pools, ponds and water containers. The collector operates the pump and charges the batteries by converting the absorbed sunlight into energy. The solar mode of the pump can be used in almost any weather, no matter if the sun is strong or if it is cloudy. If the absorbed energy is not sufficient to run the pump, the system switches to battery operation. Please note that the battery pack is capable of powering the SSI for a maximum of two hours if there is insufficient sunlight. At nightfall the water jet can be illuminated by the integrated LED lights.
This device was developed for private use and not for industrial or commercial purposes.

The pump is not suited to discharge saltwater, feces, inflammable, etching, explosive or other hazardous liquids. Please observe the max. temperature of the liquids to be discharged stated in the technical data.

6. Mounting / Dismounting

Important! The pump must not run "dry". Otherwise damage to the device cannot be excluded!
The figures mentioned in the following text refer to Fig. I, Fig. II and Fig. III at the end of the operating instructions.
- Unpack all components carefully.
- Mount the pump on the pump connection (7).
- Then remove the plug from the power connection socket (8) and plug the power cable of the pump into it. Make sure that the plug is absolutely tight.
- Now turn the SSI upside down and select a suitable fountain attachment (3). Now your floating island is ready for use.
- Please make sure that the SSI is not completely submerged in water - it may only float on the water surface. The polystyrene float (5) is used for this purpose.

7. Putting into operation

Observe safety measures!
The connecting cables of the device must not be damaged!

The battery must be fully charged before switching on the device!
GB
For this purpose, the solar-powered device has to be charged for at least 8 hours in direct sunlight before installation. Neither the pump nor the lighting unit may be switched on during the initial charging process. Make sure that no shade falls on the solar panel, otherwise the charging capacity will be reduced. If the unit has not been in operation for a long time, the above procedure has to be repeated.
Remote control:
When you now press a button on the remote control, the green LED light on the remote control comes on. The different operating modes can be reached by pressing the buttons on the remote control several times.
Press the button "A" to select the duration of the operation:
1x press 1 hour, 2x press 2 hours, 3x press 3 hours and 4x press 4 hours of operation (depending on the battery charge level).
By pressing the "B" button, you can switch on the white LED lights at dusk or in the dark.
Press button "C" to set the height of the water fountain and the interval spray. There are three different levels in total.
To switch the pump on and off, press the button "D" on the remote control. By pressing once, a continuous operation mode can be selected. If the power is less than 3.5 V, the pump will automatically switch off / not switch on.

8. Maintenance and care
Attention:
For all maintenance and care work, the plug connection between pump and solar unit or the control housing must be disconnected! For this purpose, the device must be switched off and removed from the water.
Collector surface:
The solar collector should be cleaned at regular intervals with a soft cloth. Regular cleaning is recommended to ensure optimal absorption and conversion of sunlight into energy.
Pump:
If after a certain time the pump loses flow or does not work at all, check if there is sediment, sludge or other dirt in the filter of the pump. Remove the pump and impeller cover. Clean both with lukewarm water and a soft brush.

The SSI is equipped with a long-lasting and powerful lithium-ion battery 3.7 V - 2000 mAh, which cannot be replaced.
Please pay attention to the instructions under point 7 for regular charging of the device to maintain the battery function.
8.1. Maintenance intervals
The time intervals for the necessary maintenance work (complete cleaning) depend strongly on the pond water contamination. Choose the intervals for cleaning accordingly.
If you find defects or wear and tear during maintenance, replace the corresponding parts.
(See spare parts ordering)

8.2. Winter maintenance
Protect your pump from frost! Remove the pump from your garden pond if there is a risk of frost.
Before taking the device out of operation for a longer period of time (e.g. in winter), it is recommended to charge the battery completely. Here the device should be charged for several hours in direct sunlight without the pump and lighting being switched on. You should repeat this charging process at least every 3 months when the device is taken out of operation.
Clean the pump completely according to the instructions.
Please make sure that the device is switched off during winter and that the connection cable of the pump is disconnected from the control box to avoid discharging the battery. Please store the device during the winter months in heated rooms to reduce the self-discharge of the battery.

9. Error search / Advice
| Error | Possible reason | Solution |
