Can I use this barbecue outdoors?

No, this appliance is prohibited outdoors. It is intended only for domestic indoor use.

How do I clean the cooking plate?

Let the appliance cool for at least 2 hours. Remove the detachable connector. Clean the plate, plastic base, and juice tray with a sponge, hot water, and dish soap. These parts are dishwasher safe. The detachable connector and cord must not be immersed.

What does the Thermo-Spot mean?

The Thermo-Spot™ is a visual indicator on the plate. When it turns uniformly red, the appliance has reached the optimal cooking temperature. A red light also flashes intermittently during use.

How long does it take to preheat?

Set the thermostat to the max position and preheat the appliance for 5 to 10 minutes. Wait until the Thermo-Spot becomes uniformly red.

Can I use an extension cord?

Yes, but it must have an equivalent or larger cross-section and include a grounded plug. Take all precautions to prevent anyone from tripping over it.

What should I do if the power cord is damaged?

Do not use the appliance. The cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or a similarly qualified person to avoid any hazard.

Can children use the appliance?

Children from 8 years old can use it under supervision, provided they have received instructions on safe use. Cleaning and maintenance should not be performed by children under 8 without supervision.

How do I empty the grease recovery drawer?

Do not remove the drawer during cooking. If it is full, let the appliance cool first before emptying it. The drawer can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Can I put the plate in the dishwasher?

Yes, the plate, plastic base, and juice tray are dishwasher safe. The detachable connector and power cord are not.

What should I do in case of a burn?

Immediately run cold water over the burn and call a doctor if necessary. Accessible surfaces may get very hot.

• This appliance is intended for domestic household use only. It is not intended to be used in the following applications, and the guarantee will not apply for:

• Read the instructions carefully, common to different versions depending on the accessories supplied with your appliance, and keep them within reach.

• If the appliance is used in the centre of the table, keep it out of the reach of children.

• Make sure the device is placed in a stable position before using it.

• If an accident occurs, rinse the burn immediately with cold water and call a doctor if necessary.
• Cooking fumes may be dangerous for animals which have a particularly sensitive respiratory system, such as birds. We advise bird owners to keep them away from the cooking area.
• Always use a wooden or plastic spatula to avoid damaging the cooking plate.
• In order to avoid deterioration of the plate, use it only as it was designed to be used (for example, do not place it in an oven or on a stove, whether it be gas or electric).
• Use only the plate provided with the device or a plate bought at an authorized Service Centre.
• Before first use, wash the plate (see paragraph After Use), pour a small amount of oil on it and dry with a soft cloth.
• Be careful where you place the electric power cord, whether you use an extension or not. Take all the necessary precautions in order not to hinder people from moving around the table, so that nobody gets tangled or trips over the cord.

• Never leave the appliance unattended when plugged in or in use.
• To prevent the appliance from overheating, do not place it in a corner or against a wall.
• Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass table, tablecloth, varnished furniture, etc.) or on a soft surface such as a tea-towel.

• Do not remove the grease collector tray during cooking.

• If the grease collector tray gets filled during cooking, let the contents cool before emptying it.

• On first use, there may be a slight odour and a little smoke.
• Do not consume foodstuff that comes into contact with the parts marked with ✗ogo.
• If the mobile connector plug is incorrectly positioned, the safety system will prevent the appliance from working.
• The device will be ready for use once it is preheated.

Using

• Set the thermostat of the mobile connector plug to mini.
• Connect the mobile connector plug to the pins of the appliance's heating element and then connect the cord to the mains.
• The green or red* LED will light up to indicate that the appliance is on. The green or red* LED will stay on as long as the appliance is plugged in - 3*.
• Set the thermostat of the mobile connector plug to maxi - 4*.
• Pre-heat the appliance for about 5-10 minutes on maxi position - 5.
• Thermo-Spot: when hot, the Thermo-Spot™ logo will turn red all over - 6*.
• The thermosignal lights on to indicate visually that the appliance is at the correct cooking temperature.

– the thermosignal lights up through a red indicator light when the cooking temperature is reached;

- the red indicator light will light up intermittently during use 7*.

• Fix the thermostat according to the heat level you wish - 8.
  • Cook according to taste.
• If the grease collector tray gets filled during cooking, flow will be under the product from the back of the collector tray.

After use

• Place the thermostat in the min. position - 10.
• Unplug the mobile connector plug from the main - 11.
• Leave it to cool down mini 2H before cleaning - 12.
• Unplug the mobile connector from the appliance - 13.

- Clean the plate and the body of the device with a sponge, hot water and a dishwashing agent - 15.

The plate, the plastic base and the collector tray can go in the automatic dishwasher - 14.

The mobile connector plug and the cord can not go in the dishwasher - 16.
