Frequently Asked Questions - Sirene 2151 Burg Wächter

How to install the Sirene 2151 siren?

Remove the bottom fixing screw, open the battery compartment cover, insert the power adapter cable through the openings, place the batteries, plug in the adapter, then turn on the device. Before final mounting, connect it to the BURGprotect base via the app by scanning the QR code. Use the spirit level to align and the template to drill holes.

How to pair the siren with the BURGprotect base?

In the app, tap "plus", then "Add component", scan the QR code of the device, assign a name, and confirm. The app notifies the successful pairing.

When should the batteries be replaced?

The app displays a message when the batteries are low, with an icon in the device list. Replace the 3 D (LR20) batteries with new ones.

What is the radio range of the siren?

The maximum range is 200 meters outdoors and 50 meters indoors without obstacles. Concrete walls, metal objects, and other radio sources may reduce the range.

How to adjust the siren volume?

The volume is configured in the app: go to "Dashboard", "Settings", "Accessory configuration", "Siren configuration", then select your device and adjust the volume.

How to clean the siren?

Use a slightly damp cloth. Do not use flammable, chemical, corrosive, abrasive or aggressive cleaning products. Ensure that water does not enter the device.

What to do if the LED indicator flashes rapidly?

Rapid flashing of both LEDs corresponds to an SOS alarm. Check the trigger in the app. The flashing may also indicate the armed/disarmed state depending on the configuration.

How to reset the siren?

Use the reset button located inside the battery compartment. Press briefly to restart the device. Consult the app for advanced settings.

Does the warranty cover batteries?

No, batteries are excluded from the warranty. The 2-year warranty covers manufacturing or material defects, excluding wear, misuse, or transport damage.

Can I use other accessories with the siren?

Yes, the siren is part of the BURGprotect range. You can add motion detectors, door contacts, indoor siren, RFID keypad, remote control, etc.

Features

The wireless alarm siren is an accessory of BURGprotect™ smart alarm system. It will sound with strobe light fl ashing to stop crime when working. It's easy to setup and works with an internal microprocessor, anti-tamper function, 120dB siren and up to 36 month standby with 3x LR20 batteries.

All settings can be operated in App after pairing. Users can determine to beeps or be silent when system alarm mode ([Arm] / [Disarm] / [Home Arm]) changes.

Users can also set up the LED indicator to stay lighting, keep blinking, or just a flash when system alarm mode changes. Other settings like siren time, indicating volume and alarm volume can be set up in App too

Preparation before use

Remove the fixing screw on the downside of the device.

Remove the splash guard (left).

Note: It is recommended to install the power plug, in order to provide a permanent power supply.

Therefore, pass the cable through the two holes provided (right).

Enter the batteries and connect device the power plug to injector. Move ON/OFF switch to ON position

Battery replacement instructions

Device will show note in App when battery power is low.

Correct location for installation

The radio signal of the sensor is highly dependent on environmental conditions. Metal objects, concrete surfaces, walls, and metal cables all reduce its range, etc. Other radio devices and environmental conditions can also interfere with its operation.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The alarm can only work as well as permitted by its installation and environment. The alarm can indicate dangerous situations but it cannot prevent them.

The device must not be painted, varnished or altered in any way.

Installation & Notice

1. When Pairing was succeed, test function at desired location before mouting, e.g. by triggering an SOS alarm.
2. Use the mounting material to mount the device at desired location.
3. Avoid installing the device in area with a large amount of metal or electric wire. This will considerably affect the radio range of the device.

4. Use the mounting hole and the bubble level to align the position of the alarm. Mark the 5 drill points through the bracket.

5. Drill the holes for screw anchors and fi x the bracket with screws and anchors to the wall.

Cleaning

Guarantee

BURG-WÄCHTER products comply with the technical standards in force at the time of production and adhere to our own quality standards.

The guarantee only covers defects which can be proved to have resulted from production or material defects at the time of purchase.

The guarantee expires after two years; further claims are excluded.

A short description of any defects identified must be made in writing and the device returned to the place it was bought, together with the original packaging. After the device has been tested, and within an appropriate period of time, the guarantor will decide whether or not to repair or exchange the item.

Any defects or damage which may have resulted from transport, inappropriate or improper use, wear and tear etc. are not included in the guarantee.
