Fig. 1:
- First measure the inside dimensions of the door (X = width, Y = height).
- Open the door to do this (see Fig. 1)
- Enter the dimensions in the fields provided.
Fig. 2:
- Connect the four corner connectors [7] 2x to the profiles [1] and [4] and 2x to the profiles [2] and [3]. Use a rubber mallet to drive the corner connectors [7] into the profiles.
Fig. 3:
- Slide a narrow profile [2] into a wide profile [1] and a narrow profile [4] into a wide profile [3] to create a rectangular frame. CAUTION! There should be a minimum projection of 20mm on the left and right of the door frame for installing it, as hinges and magnetic catches will be screwed on later.
Fig. 4:
- Telescope the frame to the width and height dimensions X and Y (Fig.1). Extend each of these by 30~mm
Fig. 5:
(a) Measure the length of the still visible profiles A [4] and
B [2] and enter the dimensions.
(b) Mark 2x length A and 2x length B on the omega strips [9].
(c) Cut the omega strips [9] 2x to length A and 2x to length B.
Fig. 6:
- Mount the cut omega strips [9] on profiles A [4] and profiles B [1] on the projection inside the frame (see magnifying glass).
Fig. 7:
- Turn the frame 180^ so that the outside of the door is on top.
- Push the profiles back together to the dimension specified with the omega strips if the profiles have shifted when they were turned over.
Fig. 8:
Calculate the height C = (Y - 65mm) :2
- Place the drilling template [18] on the vertical sides of the frame at height C.
(a) Drill the holes in field 1 on the outside of the frame using the 3.5mm drill bit [16]. CAUTION! Only drill through the outer wall of the profile, not the entire profile!
(b) Drill the holes in field 2 on the inside of the frame using the 3.5mm drill bit [16].CAUTION! Only drill through the outer wall of the profile, not the entire profile!
Fig. 9:
(a) Screw a narrow profile [6] with the outside facing upwards with the enclosed bit [15] on one side to the pre-drilled holes with a 2x screw [19].
(b) Slide the wide profile [5] over the narrow profile [6].
Fig. 10:
(a) Screw a narrow profile [6] with the outside facing upwards with the enclosed bit [15] on the opposite side to the pre-drilled holes with 2x screw [19].
(b) Slide the wide profile [5] over both narrow profiles [6] so that it is centred.
Fig. 11/24:
- (a) Place drilling template [18] on the profile on the door stop side at the top directly under the corner connector, in the middle directly under the centre bar and at the bottom directly above the corner connector and either drill in field 3 if the template is on the wide profile [2] or drill in field 4 if the template is on the narrow profile [1]. With the narrow profile, care must be taken that the holes in the side of the template do not cover the profile. CAUTION! Only drill through the outer wall of the profile, not the entire profile!
Fig. 12/25:
- Screw the upper part of each door hinge [15] to the predrilled holes using the enclosed bit [15] and 2 screws [21] each.
Fig. 13/26:
Measure the length A of the visible narrow profile [1] from the corner connector to the start of the wide profile [2] on the side facing away from the hinges. Enter the measurement.
- Drill the two screw holes with the 2 mm drill [17] in field 5. CAUTION! Only drill through
the external wall of the profile, not the whole profile.
Fig. 14/27:
- Screw the 2 magnetic snaps [14] with the enclosed bit [15] and 2 screws [24] each to the pre-drilled holes.
Fig. 15/28:
- Turn the frame 180^ so that the inside is on top.
(a) Measure the visible length of the narrow profiles [6] (length A) at the centre bar. Enter these. CAUTION! Profile [5] must be positioned exactly centrally between the profiles [6]!
(b) Mark length A 4x on the omega strips [9]
(c) Cut the omega strips [9] 4x to length A
(d) Press 2 omega strips [9] per profile [6] firmly on the top and bottom of the raised parts (see magnifying glass).
Fig. 16/29:
(a) Push the closed half of the handle into the upper corner of the lower panel facing the magnetic snaps.
(b) Cut the clip strip [11] 4x to the length of the vertical profiles measured from the inside of the corner connector (see magnifying glass) to the middle of the centre strip. Cut the clip strip [10] 4x to the length of the horizontal profiles measured from the respective end of the corner connectors. Leave room for the handle.
(c) Remove the handle again.
Fig. 17/30:
Unroll the fabric [28] on the frame. Cut it at the level of the centre bar with scissors. CAUTION! Leave at least 2.5 cm space above and below the frame!
Fig. 18/31:
(1) Firmly insert the closed door handle in the lower field in the upper corner facing the magnetic snaps. Place the open counterpart opposite this, on the outside of the door. Screw the two parts together with the enclosed bit [15] and 3x screws [22].
(2) Tap the clip strips [11] on the vertical profiles and the clip strips [10] on the horizontal profiles over the fabric on the inside overhang of the profiles (see magnifying glass) with a rubber mallet, following the sequence 2a-2h.
(3) Cut off the protruding fabric with a cutter knife. CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Be careful when using the cutter knife.
Fig. 19/32:
- Place the bracing plates [25] in the top and bottom corners on the hinge side of the door to fit snugly on the clip strips. Pre-drill the 4 holes with the 2mm drill [17]. CAUTION! Only drill through the outer wall of the profile, not the entire profile!
- Screw the bracing plates to the profiles with the enclosed bit [15] and 4 screws [20] each.
Fig. 20/33:
(a) Cut the high brush seal [26] to the respective length of the narrow profiles [2] and [4] and the low brush seal [27] to the respective length of the wide profiles [1] and [3], including corner connectors.
- (b,c) Insert the brushes via the corner connectors into the brush channel of the associated profiles.
- (d) Place the brush clamps [8] in the corner connectors over the brushes so that the spreaders face outwards.
(e) Screw the brush clamps [8] tight with one screw [23] each.
Assembly
Fig. 21/34:
(a) Push the spring and the lower hinge part [13] into the already screwed upper hinge part.
(b) Screw the inner spring in the upper hinge part in the third hole from the top and the one in the lower hinge part in the first hole from the top with 2x screws [20].
Fig. 22/35:
CAUTION! Two people needed.
- Turn the frame 180^ so that the outside of the door is on top. Place the door against the door frame and underlay it with a shim at the desired height so that the door overlaps the frame by 15mm in each place.
(a) Drill the screw channels in the door frame through the bottom two holes of each hinge.
(b) Screw the door tight through the hinges in the predrilled holes with the enclosed bit [15] and 2x screws [21] each.
Fig. 23/36:
