In the transmitter mode, audio signals can be received by cable and sent wirelessly from the BTR Xtreme

5.0 to Bluetooth compatible headphones or active speakers.

In receiver mode you can easily send music or audio content from a smartphone, tablet or computer wirelessly to the BTR Xtreme 5.0 and output it analogously via the 3.5 mm jack interface to a device/loudspeaker/headphones. Both happens in CD quality thanks to aptX HD support. Due to the low latency feature the BTR Xtreme 5.0 reaches an extremely low latency of less than 40ms and transmits the sound without noticeable delay. BTR Xtreme 5.0 as a Bluetooth transmitter In transmitter mode, the BTR Xtreme 5.0 can be connected to other Bluetooth enabled devices that use a Bluetooth receiver to receive audio signals wirelessly. Here the BTR Xtreme 5.020 acts as a Bluetooth transmitter:

1. Before pairing the BTR Xtreme 5.0 with devices, other

Bluetooth enabled devices should be switched off. This ensures a problem-free pairing of the devices.

2. Set the selector switch of the BTR Xtreme 5.0 to “TX”.

Then switch on the BTR Xtreme by pressing the ON/OFF button.

3. Press the on/off button of the BTR Xtreme 5.0 twice in

quick succession to enter pairing mode. Now the function light should flash alternately red and blue.

4. The BTR Xtreme 5.0 can now be found by other Bluetooth

enabled devices and pairing is possible.

5. When pairing is complete, the blue LED flashes once

every 8 seconds and audio signals can be transmitted.

6. To switch off the BTR Xtreme 5.0, press and hold the On/

Off button for 2 seconds. BTR Xtreme 5.0 as a Bluetooth Receiver In receiver mode the BTR Xtreme 5.0 can be connected to other Bluetooth enabled devices that use a Bluetooth transmitter to send audio signals wirelessly. Here the BTR Xtreme 5.0 acts as a Bluetooth receiver. To use the BTR Xtreme 5.0 in receiver mode, set the selector switch of the BTR Xtreme 5.0 to “RX” and follow the instructions above from point three. Operating modes Switch on Press the On/O button for at least 2 seconds. The blue LED lights up 3 times.21 BTR Xtreme 5.0 ENG Switch o Press the On/O button for at least 2 seconds. A red light comes on. Automatic switch o If no connection is established within 5 minutes in pairing mode, the BTR Xtreme 5.0 will automatically switch o. If the battery charge is less than 3.3V, all LEDs light up red. If the battery charge is less than 3.1V, the device switches o automatically. Change mode Change the switch from TX to RX (or vice versa). Always change the mode with the power o. Connecting devices Press the On/O button of the BTR Xtreme twice. The LED flashes alternately red and blue and searches for other Bluetooth devices. When the BTR Xtreme is connected, the blue LED lights up once every 8 seconds. Terminate connection If no connection is established after 300s, the connection mode is automatically aborted. Erase memory When the mode is changed (TX/RX), the memory is erased accordingly. Always change the mode when the power is o.22 Coupling 2 devices (RX) Turn on the BTR Xtreme 5.0 and select the RX mode. Pair the mobile phone or other Bluetooth device with the BTR. After successful pairing press the on/o button twice. This will disconnect the connection and search for a new device. From the second Bluetooth device, turn on the Bluetooth search mode and pair with the BTR Xtreme. After successfully pairing the second Bluetooth device, turn on the first Bluetooth device and select the BTR Xtreme from the paring list. After this step both Bluetooth devices are successfully connected. 2 Coupling devices (TX) Turn on the BTR and set it to TX mode. Now proceed as for pairing in RX mode. Pause/play music Press the On/O button once to play or pause music. Troubleshooting The BTR Xtreme 5.0 cannot be switched on a) Please make sure that the BTR Xtreme 5.0 is suciently charged b) Check if you press and hold the on/o button for at least 2 seconds The BTR Xtreme 5.0 cannot be connected to another device a) Make sure that the Bluetooth device is no more than 1 m away during pairing mode.23 BTR Xtreme 5.0 ENG b) Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on the device to be paired and is in search/pair mode. c) Check that you have selected the correct Bluetooth mode ( receiver/transmitter). The BTR Xtreme 5.0 is connected to a device, but it is not possible to play music a) Make sure that both devices are coupled. Please note that the maximum range is 10 m. If there are walls or objects between the units, the range will be reduced. b) Make sure that the volume control of the player is set between 50 and 100%. Warranty Congratulations! Further claims, and in particular those for price reduction, cancellation of sale, compensation for damage or subsequent damage, are exclu ded. The warranty period is not affected by any work we24 provide under the warranty.

3. The product should not be tampered with.

4. In the event of a warranty claim please contact your autho

rised dealer first. Should it prove necessary to return the product to us, please ensure that

• the product is sent in its original factory packaging in good condition,

• your proof of purchase is enclosed.

5. The following are excluded from the warranty:

• Shipping damages, either readily apparent or concealed (claims for such damages must be lodged immediately with the shipping agent, the railway express office or the post office).

• Scratches in metal components, front panels, etc. (You must notify your authorised dealer directly of such defects within 5 days of purchase).

• Defects caused as a result of incorrect installation, faulty connection, improper operation (see user manual), overloa ding or external force.

• Improperly repaired or modified devices that have been opened by a party other than us.

• Subsequent damage to other devices.
