How to recharge the ANSMANN 16000222 flashlight?

You can recharge the lamp in two ways: Option A: Place the torch on the supplied wall mount (the mount must be plugged into a USB source). Option B: Open the rubber cap of the micro USB connector on the torch and plug in a compatible USB cable. Use a USB power source delivering at least 1 A (1000 mA).

How to mount the wall mount?

1. Use the mount as a template to mark the drilling holes. 2. Drill the holes and insert the wall plugs. 3. Connect the USB cable to the micro USB port on the wall mount. 4. Push the cable into the cord protector. 5. Screw the mount onto the wall. 6. Connect the USB cable to a USB power source (5 V, 1 A minimum). Note: Mounting must be done only in a dry room.

What is the lamp's battery life?

Battery life depends on the mode: 100%: approx. 2 hours, 25%: approx. 9.5 hours, flashing: approx. 16 hours. When the battery is almost empty, the light flashes 3 times every 15 seconds and there is about 2 minutes of light remaining.

Is the lamp waterproof?

No, the lamp is rated IP20, meaning it is protected against solid objects larger than 12 mm but not against water. Do not use it in rain or humid environments, and charge it only indoors.

Can I replace the LED or battery?

No. The light source and battery are built-in and not user-replaceable. If the LED or battery is defective, the entire lamp must be replaced. For any repair, contact the manufacturer or an authorized technician.

How to clean the lamp?

Before cleaning, disconnect the lamp from any power source. Use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth (with a mild dishwashing detergent if needed). Never use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

What to do if the lamp is not used for several months?

If the lamp remains unused for more than 6 months, recharge the battery to preserve its lifespan. Store it in a dry place at a temperature between -10 and 45 °C.

How to use the color filter?

The color filter (included) can be placed in front of the torch to modify the lighting color. Simply snap it onto the front of the lamp.

Can the lamp be attached to a metal surface?

Yes, the torch has built-in retaining magnets that allow it to be attached to most metal surfaces. You can thus use it hands-free.

How to change the lighting modes?

Use the function button (located on the lamp body) to switch between the three modes: 100%, 25%, and flashing. The on/off button turns the lamp on and off.

INTENDED USE

The product is intended to be used as a mobile light source. It features a built-in rechargeable battery that can be charged via a Micro USB connection. The wall mount with charging function serves as a safe storage system with quick-remove action.

The product is designed exclusively for household use; it is not suitable for commercial purposes.

SAFETY INFORMATION

Carefully read the entire instruction manual before first operating the product. It contains important information on handling the product.

If you give the product to third parties, you must include this instruction manual.

• Keep children away from the product and the packaging. The product is not a toy. Children must always be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.

• The product is not intended for use by person (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or a lack of knowledge and experience in handling the product. Such persons must first receive instructions from a person responsible for their safety or be supervised while using the product!

• Risk of fatal injury due to electric shock! Take care not to damage water, electricity or telecommunications lines while drilling holes. Use a cable locator.

Do not look directly into the beam of light.

Do not shine the light in the faces of others. Looking into the beam of light for too long may cause damage to the retina due to blue light.

The product complies with Protection Class III and operates at a harmless voltage range.

• The light bulb is non-replaceable. The entire product must be replaced when the lamp reaches the end of its service life.
• Do not open or modify the product! Repair work and battery pack replacement may only be carried out by the manufacturer, a service technician authorized by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified person.
• The lamp may be used indoors.

• The USB port to which the product is connected must supply an output current of at least 1 A (1000 mA).

• Always read the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the product.

• Keep the product dry at all times.

• Caution:

• The product contains a non-replaceable lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Do not throw the product into open flames.

• Always charge the product in a spacious, empty area, removed from flammable materials and liquids. Failure to comply may lead to fire and burn injuries.

• Never attempt to open, crush, heat or set fire to the rechargeable battery.

• Do not use or charge the rechargeable battery if the product appears to be damaged.
• Dispose of used (rechargeable) batteries in keeping with local laws and requirements.

ASSEMBLY

Caution: Mount the product in dry indoor areas only.

1 Mark the positions for the drill holes through the mounting holes.
2 Drill the holes.
3 Insert the dowels.

4 Connect the USB cable to the Micro USB connection on the wall mount.
5. Firmly press the USB cable into the strain relief.
6 Screw on the wall mount.
7 Connect the USB cable to a USB voltage source with at least 1 A output current.

CHARGING

Option A: Place the product in the wall mount.

Option B: Charge the product via the built-in Micro USB connection.

1 Open the rubber cap on the Micro USB connection.
2 Use a suitable cable to connect a USB voltage source with at least 1 A output current.
3 After charging, unplug the USB cable and close the rubber cap.

Power failure system

• Begin charging while the product is turned on.
• As soon as the product is supplied with power, it turns itself off.
• If the power supply is interrupted, the product turns on automatically with approx. 20% luminosity.
• The product turns off again automatically when the power supply is reconnected.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

Cleaning

• Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning the product.
• Use only a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth (where necessary with a little mild dishwashing detergent) to clean the product. Never use any abrasive cleaners or solvents to clean the product.

Maintenance

If the product has not been used for 6 months, the rechargeable battery should be charged to maintain its service life.

At the end of its service life, dispose of the lamp in keeping with all legal requirements. The dustbin symbol indicates that waste electrical and electronic equipment may not be disposed of with normal household waste within the EU.
