Frequently Asked Questions - ZICOM50E Zipper

How to drain condensation water from the tank?
Open the drain valve located at the bottom of the pressurized tank after each use. The condensation water must be collected in a suitable container and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. Open slowly to avoid splashing.
What oil to use for the compressor?
Use the oil recommended by the manufacturer, generally a special compressor oil. Fill up to the central mark of the oil sight glass. Do not use standard motor oil.
How to adjust the output pressure?
Turn the pressure regulator clockwise to increase pressure, and counterclockwise to decrease it. The set pressure is displayed on the output pressure gauge. Do not exceed the maximum pressure of the tool used.
What to do if the motor does not start?
First check that the machine is properly plugged in and the socket is powered. Make sure the ON/OFF switch is in the on position. If the overload protection has tripped, let the motor cool down then reset the red button. Check the fuse of your installation.
How to clean the air filter?
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter and clean it with low-pressure compressed air. If the filter is too dirty, replace it. A dirty filter reduces compressor performance.
What is the maximum pressure of the machine?
The maximum pressure is approximately 8 bar. Never exceed this value to avoid damaging the machine or causing an accident. The safety valve opens if the pressure is too high.
Can I use pneumatic tools with this compressor?
Yes, this compressor is designed to power pneumatic tools such as nail guns, staplers, orbital sanders, etc. Make sure the air consumption of the tool does not exceed the compressor's flow rate. Use appropriate fittings.
How to drain the compressor oil?
Place a container under the drain plug. Open the drain plug (mark 1) to drain the used oil. Close it, then open the fill plug (mark 2) and pour new oil up to the central mark of the sight glass. Used oil is toxic: dispose of it in accordance with regulations.
Can the machine run continuously?
No, this compressor is designed for non-commercial and intermittent use. It is not suitable for continuous operation. Observe the on/off cycles and maintenance intervals to avoid motor overheating.
What to do if air escapes through the safety valve?
This probably indicates a leaking or defective check valve. Clean or replace the check valve insert. If the problem persists, contact a professional. Do not block the safety valve.
