How to set the timer on the TFA 38.2025?

Press the T1 or T2 button to select the desired timer. Use HR, MIN and SEC to set hours, minutes and seconds. Press S/S to start the countdown. For quick adjustment, hold the button down.

How to use the stopwatch?

Select the timer with T1 or T2, then simultaneously press HR and MIN to reset. Press S/S to start timing. The ▲ symbol appears. Press S/S again to stop or resume.

How to set the alarm volume?

Use the switch on the right side of the device to choose between High, Low or Mute levels. The mark in the middle of the switch indicates the selected volume.

How to use the memory function?

Press T1 or T2 to select the timer. Hold M button for 2 seconds until '0.000' flashes. Set the time with HR, MIN, SEC and confirm with M. You can then recall this preset by pressing M.

How to mount the stopwatch?

The device can be placed on a flat surface using the foldable stand. Use the hanger loop to attach it to the wall with a nail. The integrated magnets allow attachment to metal surfaces.

What to do if the display is dim or blank?

Check the battery polarity and replace them with new AAA 1.5 V batteries. If the problem persists, contact your dealer.

How to replace the batteries?

Slide the battery compartment cover downward, remove used batteries and insert two new AAA batteries observing polarity (+/-). Close the cover by sliding it upward.

Can I use rechargeable batteries?

The manual recommends alkaline batteries. Rechargeable batteries (Ni-MH) can be used, but their lower voltage (1.2 V) may reduce battery life or cause malfunctions. Use at your own risk.

What to do if a battery is swallowed?

Batteries contain harmful acids. If swallowed, contact emergency medical help immediately. Internal burns can occur within 2 hours. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

How to clean the stopwatch?

Use a soft damp cloth to clean the device. Do not use solvents, abrasive products, and avoid excessive moisture. Remove batteries before thorough cleaning.

6. Getting started

• Pull off the protective foil on the display.
• Slide the lid of the battery compartment downwards and insert two new batteries (2 x 1,5 V AAA), making sure the polarity is correct.
• Place the battery compartment lid on the housing and slide it upwards.
• All LCD segments will light up for about a few seconds
  The unit is ready for use.
  Take out the batteries to shut down the instrument.

7. Operation

7.1 Timer

• Set the time for timer 1.
• Press T1 button.
  T1 appears on the upper display.

• Push the HR button to set the hours, the MIN button to set the minutes and the SEC button to set the seconds of the desired time. Press and hold the buttons in setting mode for fast running.
  -▼ appears on the display.
• Push the S/S button to start the countdown process.
• During the countdown, the symbol is flashing and the T1 button flashes in green.
• Use the S/S button to stop and restart the counting.
• After the countdown the symbol appears in the display, the alarm (60 seconds) will sound and the T 1 button flashes in red. Now the timer will start to count up the elapsed time.
• Press the S/S button to stop the counting and to deactivate the alarm sound.
  The timer will recall the last selected time automatically
• Push the HR and MIN button at the same time to reset the timer.
• Set the time for the timer 2 in the same way.

7.2 Memory function

• Press T1 or T2 to select a timer.

• Press and hold M button for 2 seconds.
  0:00 flashes on the display.
• Push the HR button to set the hours, the MIN button to set the minutes and the SEC button to set the seconds of the desired time.
• Confirm the setting with the M button.
• Press M button to recall the preset time.
• Push the HR and MIN button at the same time to reset the timer.

7.3 Stopwatch

• Press T1 or T2 to select a timer.
• Push the HR and MIN button at the same time to reset the timer.
• Push the S/S button to start the count up-process. appears in the display.
• Use the S/S button to stop and restart the counting.

7.4 Setting of alarm sound

• With the switch at the right side set the volume for the alarm.

The marking in the middle of the switch shows the selected volume.

7.5 Fixing

• With the foldable leg the instrument can be placed onto flat surfaces.
• With the foldable suspension device you can fix the instrument with a nail at the wall.
• Use the two magnets at the back of the instrument for placement on metal surfaces.

8. Care and maintenance

• Clean it with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents. Protect from moisture.
• Remove the batteries if you do not use the product for a long period of time.
• Keep the instrument in a dry place.

8.1 Battery replacement

• Replace the batteries when the display starts to fade.
• Open the battery compartment and insert two new batteries 2 × 1.5 V AAA. Make sure they have the correct polarity. Close the battery compartment again.
