• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the AC adaptor should be scrapped.

• Do not use anything other than the supplied AC adaptor for any purpose. Also, do not use any other product with the supplied AC adaptor. (See page 9.)6 English

• The symbol on the right indicates that a specic detachable power supply unit is required for connecting the electrical appliance to the supply mains. The type reference of power supply unit is marked near the symbol.

• The symbol on the right means suitable for use in a bath or shower.

• Be sure to switch off the appliance and remove the power plug from a household outlet before performing any maintenance.

• Do not connect or disconnect the adaptor to a householdoutletwithawethand. - Doing so may cause electric shock or injury.

• Afterremovingtherechargeablebattery,donotkeepit withinreachofchildrenandinfants. - The battery will harm the body if accidentally swallowed. If this happens, consult a physician immediately.

• Ifthebatteryuidleaksoutandcomesincontactwith theeyes,donotrubtheeyes,andthoroughlyrinse withcleanwater,suchastapwater. - Failure to do so may cause eye injury. Consult a physician immediately. CAUTION

• Ifthebatteryuidleaksoutandcomesincontactwith the skin or clothes, rinse off with clean water, such as tapwater. - Failure to do so may cause inammation.9 English Important information

• Store the appliance in a place with low humidity after use. Failure to do so may cause malfunction due to condensation or rust.

• Charge the appliance correctly according to these Operating Instructions. (See this page "How to charge".)

• This appliance contains battery that is only replaceable by skilled persons.

• Please use according to the operating instructions of the head to be used. E Pouch How to charge

• Wipe off any water droplets on the appliance socket. PlugtheACadaptorintothemainbodyandthe householdoutlet.(Fig.2)

• Check the charge status lamp glows. It turns off after charging is completed.

• Charging is completed after approx. 1 hour. <Howtocheckthatchargingiscompleted> Insert the main body again after removing it from the AC adaptor. If the charge status lamp glows and then turns off after 5 seconds, charging is completed. Notes

• Recommended ambient temperature for charging is 10 °C – 30 °C. It may take longer to charge, or the charge status lamp will blink quickly and the battery may fail to charge properly in extremely high or low temperatures.

• When charging the main body for the rst time or when it has not been in use for more than 6 months, the charging time may change or the charge status lamp may not glow for a few minutes. It will eventually glow if kept connected.

• If there is noise from the radio or other sources while using or charging the appliance, move to a different location to use the appliance.

• Charging each time does not affect battery life, because it uses a lithium-ion battery.

The battery will deteriorate if not used for over 6 months, so make sure to perform a full charge at least once every 6 months.

To keep charging the battery will not affect battery performance.

The use time after a full charge varies depending on the head.10 English How to use Note The appliance will not operate with the AC adaptor connected.

• The appliance may not operate in an ambient temperature lower than approximately 5 °C. Remove the cap, mount the desired head and press the powerswitch.

• Clean the appliance after use. ► Whentheremainingbatteryislow The charge status lamp blinks when the power is turned off. (It turns off after 5 seconds.) How to clean

• Make sure that the main body is turned off.

• The AC adapter cannot be washed with water. Disconnect the adaptor and wipe with a dry cloth.

• Do not wipe with thinner, benzine, alcohol etc. Doing so may cause malfunction, cracking or discoloring of the parts.

• After cleaning, store the main body with the cap attached.

• Do not immerse the main body in water for a long time. Otherwise, the water may seep into the main body.

• Be careful not to hit the appliance on the sink or any other object while draining the water.

Wipeoffthewaterwithadryclothanddryitwell. Troubleshooting Problem Action Appliance does not operate even after charging. The appliance will not operate with the AC adaptor connected. Please use the appliance after it has been sufciently charged and the AC adaptor disconnected. Use the appliance in an ambient temperature approximately 5 °C or higher. The battery is nearing the end of its life. Operating time is short even after a full charge. The main body cannot be charged. The charging time is long or the charge status lamp will blink quickly and the battery may fail to charge properly in extremely high or low temperatures. Charge within the recommended charging temperature of 10 °C to 30 °C. If the problems still cannot be solved, contact your dealer or a service centre authorized by Panasonic for repair.11 English Disposal of the appliance Removethebuilt-inrechargeablebatterybefore disposingoftheappliance.

• The battery is to be disposed of safely.

• This gure must only be used when disposing of the appliance and must not be used to repair it. If you dismantle the appliance yourself, it will no longer be waterproof, which may cause it to malfunction. Howtoremovethebattery(Fig.4)

• Remove the appliance from the AC adaptor.

• Press the power switch to turn on the power and then keep the power on until the battery is completely discharged.

• Use a Phillips-head screwdriver as shown.

• Take care not to short circuit the positive and negative terminals of the removed battery, and insulate the terminals by applying tape to them.
