Frequently Asked Questions - TUCA A1 TRONIC

My computer does not detect the TUCA A1 adapter. What should I do?
Check that the USB-C connection is fully inserted. Make sure your computer or mobile device has a compatible USB 3.1 Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 port. Refer to the System Requirements section of the manual.
The PC charges slowly via the adapter. Why?
The charging cable or power adapter may be damaged or insufficient. Use a USB-C PD adapter of at least 60 W for fast charging. The hub consumes about 10 W, which reduces the power available for charging.
No video output on my HDMI screen after connection.
Check the HDMI and USB-C connections. The HDMI cable must be compliant with standard 1.4 or higher. Reduce your PC's display resolution if it exceeds 4K@30Hz. Make sure the external monitor is turned on and set to the correct input.
Can I use the adapter with a smartphone?
Yes, if your smartphone has a USB-C port that supports host mode (OTG) and possibly video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode). Refer to your phone's manual.
How do I clean the TUCA A1 adapter?
Unplug the adapter before any cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Never use abrasive products, solvents, or liquid cleaners.
Does the adapter get hot normally?
Slight warmth is normal during intensive use (fast charging, data transfer). If the device becomes very hot, unplug it and let it cool down. Do not cover it during use.
Can I connect a USB 3.0 hard drive to the USB-A port?
Yes, the USB-A 3.0 port supports external hard drives. The maximum output current is 1.5 A, sufficient for most portable drives. For drives requiring more power, use an external power supply.
How do I safely disconnect a USB device?
Use the Safely Remove Hardware function of your operating system before physically disconnecting the cable. Incorrect disconnection may result in data loss.
What should I do if the adapter emits a burning smell or smoke?
Immediately unplug the adapter from your computer and from the mains (if a charger is connected). Do not use the device anymore and contact customer service.
What is the warranty period and how to claim it?
The warranty is 3 years from the date of purchase. Keep the receipt as proof of purchase. In case of a problem, contact customer service (phone 0800904879 for France) or by email (owim@lidl.fr) before returning the product.
