high-quality product. The instruction manual forms part of this product. It contains important information on safety, use and disposal.

Before using the product, you should familiarise yourself with all operating and safety instructions. Use the product only as described and for the stated fi elds of application.

Store the manual carefully and ensure that all documents are handed over in the event

that the product is passed on to another user.

Proper use

Use this gutter and pipe cleaning set only in private households as an accessory for your pressure washer. The set is intended for effective cleaning of drains, pipes and gutters. It may only be used without chemicals or cleaning agents.

The device is suitable for the following pipes:

Max. bend (K) 90^ ;

Min.diameter (D) 40~mm

Min. radius (R) 70 mm.

PARKSIDE PDRS 10 A1 - Proper use - 1

Designed for an operating/rated pressure of max. 150 bar.

Suitable for Parkside pressure washers of the series PHD 100*, PHD 110, PHD 135, PHD 150 and PHD 170 as well as Parkside Performance pressure washer PHDP 180.

  • Not suitable for Parkside pressure washer PHD 100 (manufactured in 2009)

Unpack the device and check that everything is present:

  • Cleaning hose (20 m),
  • 1 gutter cleaning carriage
  • 1 pipe cleaning nozzle
  • 1 adapter for gutter cleaning carriage
  • 1 downpipe cover strainer
  • 2 × pressure nozzles, red
  • 2 × pressure nozzles, grey
  • 1 clamp with hose guide

Dispose of the packaging material properly.

High-pressure washers can be dangerous if used incorrectly. The jet must not be directed at persons, animals, active electrical equipment

or the device itself.

  • This device is not intended for use by people (including children) with restricted physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or those who do not have sufficient experience and/or knowledge of using it unless they are supervised by an individual responsible for their safety, or receive instructions from this person on how to use the device.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
Operation of the device is not permitted for persons under the age of 16 years.

  • Wear protective goggles as protection against freed dirt while working.

  • Only use the device on pressure-resistant, tight pipes and drains to avoid damage and injury.

  • Ensure that your footing is secure when using a ladder.

  • Do not operate the pressure washer while standing on a ladder.

  • During cleaning operations, no people may be in the cleaning area. Do not park any vehicles near the cleaning area either.

  • Never leave the device unattended at the workplace when it is ready for use.

  • Do not turn the pressure washer on until the pipe cleaning hose is positioned at least up to the red marking in the pipe to be cleaned.

Never pull the inserted hose completely out of the pipe to be cleaned in high-pressure operation. You could be injured by the four pressure jets aimed backward.

The maximum water temperature must not exceed 60^ . The hose could become damaged.

Attaching the adapter to the cleaning hose

  1. If necessary, remove the pipe cleaning nozzle (6) from the connection piece (11).

  2. Turn the adapter (7) onto the connection piece (11).

  3. Tighten the adapter (7) by hand with an open-ended spanner AF 11.

Preparing the gutter cleaning carriage

B Threading the cleaning hose

  1. Thread the cleaning hose (1) with the adapter (7) through the hose guide (10) on the clamp (9).

C Selecting and inserting the pressure nozzle

  1. Select the pressure nozzle (4/5) that goes with your pressure washer. grey: PHD 150, PHD 170, PHDP 180 red: PHD 100, PHD 110, PHD 135

  2. Pull the external splint (15) out of the bottom of the gutter cleaning carriage (2).

  3. If necessary, remove the pressure nozzle in use.

  4. Insert the two pressure nozzles (4/5) of the same colour into the two outer openings on the bottom of the gutter cleaning carriage (2).

  5. Secure the pressure nozzles (4/5) each with a splint (15).

C Connecting the cleaning hose to the gutter cleaning carriage

  1. Insert the cleaning hose (1) with the adapter (7) into the middle opening on the bottom of the gutter cleaning carriage (2).

  2. Secure the cleaning hose (1) with a splint (15).

  3. Press the cleaning hose (1) into the holder (16) on the bottom of the gutter cleaning carriage (2).

D Cleaning gutters

Before cleaning, close any windows and window shutters.

Always work away from the downpipe.

  1. Remove rocks/mortar/brick rubble from the gutter.
  2. Place the downpipe cover strainer (3) into the downpipe.
  3. Place the clamp (9) against the gutter and turn the hose guide (10) so that the gutter cleaning carriage (2) is located on the side opposite the downpipe cover strainer (3).
  4. Place the gutter cleaning carriage (2) in the gutter.
  5. Fasten the clamp (9) with the threaded cleaning hose (1) next to the downpipe. Press the handle (8) on the bottom end and push the clamp together by hand so that it's close to the gutter. Fix the clamp (9) by pressing the handle (8) up until the clamp (9) stays in place.
  6. Slide the cleaning hose (1) by hand through the hose guide (10) up to just past the safety marking (13).
  7. Place the connection piece (12) on the lance of your Parkside pressure washer. Turn the connection piece through 90^ until it clicks into place (Bayonet locking device).
  8. Turn your Parkside pressure washer on and press the lance at a safe distance from the gutter. The gutter cleaning carriage (2) has an automatic propulsion due to the water pressure.
  9. Feed in the cleaning hose (1) by hand. Now and again, pull the cleaning hose (1) back slowly against the automatic propulsion and release it again to increase the cleaning effect. If very dirty, repeat the cleaning process.
  10. Once you are done cleaning, switch your Parkside pressure washer off.
  11. Remove the dirt from the downpipe cover strainer (3).
  12. Remove the downpipe cover strainer (3).

E Attaching the pipe cleaning nozzle

  1. If necessary, remove the adapter (7) from the connection piece (11).
  2. Turn the pipe cleaning nozzle (6) onto the connection piece (11).
  3. Tighten the pipe cleaning nozzle (6) by hand with an open-ended spanner AF 11.

Connecting to the pressure washer

Connecting:

  1. Place the connection piece (12) on the lance of your Parkside pressure washer.
  2. Turn the connection piece through 90^ until it clicks into place (Bayonet locking device).

Disconnecting:

  1. Release the connection piece (12) by pressing and turning through 90^ in the opposite direction (bayonet locking device).

F Cleaning pipes

  1. Slide the pipe cleaning hose (1) into the pipe to be cleaned at least up to the red safety marking (13).

Caution! The red safety marking must be positioned in the pipe before switching on the pressure washer. You could be injured by the pressure jet.

  1. Switch the pressure washer on and press the lever on the lance.
  2. While the pipe cleaning nozzle (6) moves through the pipe itself, feed in the pipe cleaning hose (1) by hand.

  3. To clear any blockages, press the lever on the lance multiple times in a row and release it again.

  4. With the ring (14), you can mark progress in the pipe. You can read the progress based on the markings ( XXX < -) printed on the hose spaced 1 m apart.

Always remove the mains plug of the pressure washer before working on the device.

Cleaning

Always keep the device clean. Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.

  • Clean the device with a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth.
  • Store the device in a frost-proof room.

Disposal/environmental protection

The device, accessories and packaging should be properly recycled.

Take the device to a recycling plant. The plastic and metal parts used on your device can be properly sorted according to materials and grades and efficiently recycled. Please contact our service centre for more information.
