How to replace the batteries?

Turn off the product, open the battery compartment cover by pressing the arrow and sliding downward. Remove the used batteries and insert 3 new alkaline LR6/AA batteries respecting polarity. Close the cover.

How to activate the timer?

Set the switch to the ON1 position. The product turns on with lighting and movement, then automatically turns off after 6 hours and turns on again after 18 hours.

Why does the music not work?

Music is only active in ON2 mode. Check that the switch is on ON2. Make sure the speaker under the product is not blocked.

Can I select a specific melody?

No, the 8 Christmas melodies play in a continuous loop and cannot be individually selected.

What to do if the LEDs are dim or the music quieter?

This indicates that the batteries are almost depleted. Replace the 3 alkaline LR6/AA batteries with new ones.

Can the product be used outdoors?

No, the product is designed only for dry indoor use (IP20). Do not expose it to moisture or rain.

How to clean the Christmas village?

Remove the batteries before cleaning. Use a feather duster or gently blow to remove dust. Do not use cleaning products and do not immerse in water.

What to do if a moving part is stuck?

Before operation, remove any objects that could obstruct movement. If the blockage persists, turn off the product and remove the batteries, then carefully clear the obstacle.

Are the LEDs replaceable?

No, the LEDs are integrated and cannot be replaced. If an LED is defective, the product must be disposed of according to environmental regulations.

The product is not allowed to be manipulated! There is a risk of injury from electric

• The casing must not be opened and the product must not be manipulated/modified under any circumstances. Manipulations/modifications can cause danger to life from electric shock. Manipulations/modifications are prohibited for approval reasons (CE).
• The product must not be covered up during use.

5.1 Safety instructions regarding batteries

! WARNING!

Fatal danger!

Batteries must not be swallowed! There is a risk of fatal injuries!

• Batteries may be fatal if swallowed, so this article and its batteries must be stored out of the reach of small children.
• Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, soft tissue perforations and death. Serious internal chemical burns can already occur within 2 hours of ingestion.
• If a battery has been swallowed, please consult a doctor without delay!
• Keep the batteries out of the reach of children.

! WARNING!

Fire and explosion hazard!

- Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries, do not short-circuit and/or open them. This may result in overheating, risk of fire or bursting. - Keep the product away from heat sources and direct sunlight, the bat-

teries may explode if overheated. There is a risk of injury.

Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands! There is a risk of injury!

• Leaked or damaged batteries may cause chemical burns if they come into contact with skin. Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands; therefore ensure that you wear appropriate protective gloves in this case!
• Only use type LR6/AA batteries from the same manufacturer.
• Insert the batteries into the designated battery compartment with the correct polarity.
• Do not use combinations of old and new batteries or rechargeable batteries.
• Store batteries in a dry and cool, not damp, place.
• Never throw batteries into fire.
• Do not short-circuit batteries.
• Disposable batteries also lose part of their energy during storage.
• Remove the batteries if the device is not in use.
• Discharged batteries must be immediately removed in order to avoid battery leakage and thus damage to the device.
• Empty batteries or used rechargeable batters must be disposed of properly.
• Store disposable batteries separately from discharged batteries, in order to avoid mix-ups.

Remove packaging prior to use.

6. Start-up

1. Remove all packaging materials.
2. Check whether all parts are available and undamaged.
   If this is not the case, notify the specified service address.

6.1 Inserting/replacing batteries (fig. B)

Before using the unit for the first time OR when the LEDs become dim, the music quieter or the moving parts slower, the alkaline batteries (1.5 V AA, LR6) 2 must be inserted

OR replaced.

For this, proceed as follows:

1. Switch the product 1 off (see "6.2. Use").

2. Carefully unlock the battery cover 4 from the battery compartment 5 by pressing the arrow and sliding the battery cover 4 downwards.

3. Carefully flip open the battery compartment cover 4.

NOTE!

Be careful not to lose the battery compartment cover, as it has the nameplate on it. The nameplate is an important part of the product.

1. Remove any depleted batteries from the battery compartment 5.

2. Insert the 3 supplied alkaline batteries (1.5 V AA, LR6) 2 OR 3 new LR6/AA batteries into the battery compartment 5 with the correct polarity.

3. Afterwards, close the battery compartment 5.

The product 1 is now ready to use.

Setting up the product

Set up the product 1 in an appropriate place.

NOTE!

• The surface should be even, so that the product 1 cannot fall over. The place should have sufficient free space around the product 1.
• Place a protective blanket underneath the product 1. Sensitive surfaces could become scratched by the product 1.

6.2 Use

Switching on/off and activating moving parts, music and timer (fig. C)

You can switch the following modes with the switch 6 on the back of the product 1 :

ON1: Light + Motion + Timer

OFF: switched off

ON2: Light + Motion + Music

Timer function

The product 1 is equipped with a timer function. When the "ON1" mode is selected, the

timer function is turned on. If the timer function is switched on, the product 1 will switch off automatically after 6 hours. After another 18 hours, the product 1 will automatically switch back on. As long as the switch 6 is left in the "ON1" position, this daily rhythm will be repeated.

NOTE!

• The product 1 has 8 Christmas melodies. If the "ON2" mode is selected, these 8 Christmas melodies are played back one after the other in a continuous loop.
• No selection of Christmas melodies can be made.
• The loudspeaker 7 (fig. B) is located on the underside of the product 1. Therefore, do not place the product 1 on a surface that is too soft. The sound will otherwise be too muffled.

NOTE!

The timer function works without the music. This means that after 18 hours, the light and motion function the objects will be activated, but the music will not be started.

NOTE!

Risk of material damage

• Ensure that the moving parts 3 (fig. A) of the product 1 are not restricted or impeded in their range of movement. There is a risk of material damage.
• Remove any objects in the movement radii before start-up.

7. Cleaning and care instructions

CAUTION!

Before cleaning, you must remove the batteries from the battery compartment. There

is a risk of electric shock!

• clean only with a feather duster
• contaminants may be blown away
• do not use any strong detergents and/or chemicals
• do not immerse in water

- store in a cool, dry place and protected from UV light

8. Conformity declaration

CE This device complies with the fundamental requirements and other relevant regulations of the European Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU and the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU. The complete original conformity declaration is available from the importer.

9. Disposal

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging and operating instructions are made of 100 % environmentally friendly materials, which you may dis-

pose of at local recycling centres.

Disposal of the product

The product may not be disposed of with normal household waste. Please find out about disposal options for the product from your local authority or town administration.

Disposal of the battery / rechargea-

ble batterie

• Defective or used rechargeable batteries have to be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments.
• Batteries and disposable batteries are not permitted to be disposed of with household waste. They contain harmful heavy metals. Marking: Pb (= lead), Hg (= mercury), Cd (= cadmium). You are legally obligated to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. After use, you can either return batteries to our point of sale or in the direct vicinity (e.g. with a retailer or in municipal collection centres) free of charge. Batteries and rechargeable batteries are marked with a crossed-out waste bin.

10. Warranty

Warranty from TRÄDIX GmbH & Co. KG Dear customer, the warranty on this product is 3 years from the purchase date. In the event of defects in this product, you are entitled to exercise your statutory rights against the seller of the product. These statutory rights are not limited by our warranty described in the following.

11. Warranty conditions

The warranty begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original receipt. This document is required as verification of the purchase.

If a material or manufacturing defect arises within three years from the purchase date of this product, the product will be repaired or replaced, as per our choice, at no charge to you. This warranty service requires the submission of the purchase receipt and the defective product within the three-year period and a short written description of the defect and when it arose.

If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired or a new product will be returned to you. The warranty period does not restart with the repair or replacement of the product.

Guarantee period and statutory claims for defects

The guarantee period will not be extended by the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects which may possibly already exist upon purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. After the guarantee period has expired, required repairs shall be subject to a charge.

Scope of guarantee

The device has been carefully produced under strict quality guidelines and conscientiously inspected prior to delivery. The guarantee service applies to material or manufacturing faults. This guarantee does not extend to product parts, which are exposed to normal wear and tear and can therefore be regarded as wearing parts or to damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, battery packs or which are made of glass.

This guarantee shall lapse, if the product is damages, not used properly or maintained properly. For proper use of the product, all of the instructions in the operating instructions must be precisely complied with. Purposes and actions, which are dissuaded from or warned about in the operating instructions must be avoided.

The product is only intended for private and not commercial use. In the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and with interventions, which are not performed by our authorised service branch, the guarantee shall lapse.
