There is a risk of injury from electric shock! - The casing must not be opened and the product must not be manipulated/modi- fied under any circumstances. Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands; therefore ensure that you wear appropriate protective gloves in this case! - Only use type LR6/AA batteries from the same manufacturer. - Insert the batteries into the designated battery compartment with the correct po- larity. - Do not use combinations of old and new batteries or rechargeable batteries. - Store batteries in a dry and cool, not damp, place. - Never throw batteries into fire. - Do not short-circuit batteries. - Disposable batteries also lose part of their energy during storage.

Remove the batteries if the device is not in use. - Discharged batteries must be immediately removed in order to avoid battery leak- age and thus damage to the device. - Empty batteries or used rechargeable bat- ters must be disposed of properly. - Store disposable batteries separately from discharged batteries, in order to avoid mix-ups.

6.1 Inserting/replacing batter-

ies (fig. B) Before using the unit for the first time OR when the LEDs become dim, the music qui- eter or the moving parts slower, the alkaline batteries (1.5 V AA, LR6) 2 must be inserted OR replaced. For this, proceed as follows:

1. Switch the product

1 off (see “6.2. Use”).

2. Carefully unlock the battery cover

from the battery compartment

by pressing the arrow and sliding the battery cover

3. Carefully flip open the battery compart-

NOTE! Be careful not to lose the battery compart- ment cover, as it has the nameplate on it. The nameplate is an important part of the prod- uct.

4. Remove any depleted batteries from the

(1.5 V AA, LR6) 2 OR 3 new LR6/AA batteries into the battery compartment

with the correct polarity.

6. Afterwards, close the battery compart-

The product 1 is now ready to use. Setting up the product Set up the product 1 in an appropriate place. NOTE! - The surface should be even, so that the product 1 cannot fall over. The place should have sufficient free space around the product

Switching on/off and activating mov- ing parts, music and timer (fig. C) You can switch the following modes with the switch 6 on the back of the product 1 : ON1: Light + Motion + Timer OFF: switched off ON2: Light + Motion + Music Timer function The product 1 is equipped with a timer func- tion. When the “ON1” mode is selected, the16 17 GB/IE GB/IE timer function is turned on. If the timer func- tion is switched on, the product 1 will switch off automatically after 6 hours. After another 18 hours, the product 1 will automatically switch back on. As long as the switch 6 is left in the “ON1” position, this daily rhythm will be repeated. NOTE! - The product 1 has 8 Christmas melodies. If the “ON2” mode is selected, these 8 Christmas melodies are played back one after the other in a continuous loop. - No selection of Christmas melodies can be made. - The loudspeaker 7 (fig. B) is located on the underside of the product 1 . Therefore, do not place the product 1 on a surface that is too soft. The sound will otherwise be too muffled. NOTE! The timer function works without the music. This means that after 18 hours, the light and motion function the objects will be activated, but the music will not be started. NOTE! Risk of material damage - Ensure that the moving parts 3 (fig. A) of the product 1 are not restricted or im- peded in their range of movement. There is a risk of material damage. - Remove any objects in the movement radii before start-up.

Disposal of the packaging

PET The packaging and oper- ating instructions are made of 100 % environ- mentally friendly materi- als, which you may dis- pose of at local recycling centres. Disposal of the product The product may not be disposed of with normal household waste. Please find out about disposal options for the product from your local authority or town ad- ministration. Disposal of the battery / rechargea- ble batterie - Defective or used rechargeable batteries have to be recycled in ac- cordance with Directive 2006/66/ EC and its amendments. - Batteries and disposable batteries are not permitted to be disposed of with house- hold waste. They contain harmful heavy metals. Marking: Pb (= lead), Hg (= mer- cury), Cd (= cadmium). You are legally obligated to return used batteries and re- chargeable batteries. After use, you can either return batteries to our point of sale or in the direct vicinity (e.g. with a retail- er or in municipal collection centres) free of charge. Batteries and rechargeable batteries are marked with a crossed-out waste bin.

In the event of defects in this product, you are enti- tled to exercise your statutory rights against the seller of the product. 11. Warranty conditions

The warranty begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original receipt. This doc- ument is required as verification of the pur- chase. If a material or manufacturing defect arises within three years from the purchase date of this product, the product will be repaired or replaced, as per our choice, at no charge to you. This warranty service requires the sub- mission of the purchase receipt and the defec- tive product within the three-year period and a short written description of the defect and when it arose. If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired or a new product will be returned to you. The warranty period does not restart with the repair or replacement of the product. Guarantee period and statutory claims for defects The guarantee period will not be extended by the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects which may possibly already exist upon pur- chase must be reported immediately after unpacking. After the guarantee period has expired, required repairs shall be subject to a charge.
