How to start the Spark Ice ice machine?

Make sure the appliance is on a horizontal surface and plugged in. Open the lid, insert the ice basket, fill the tank with at least 1 liter of drinking water, then press the on/off button. Select the ice cube size (small or large) with the dedicated button.

What to do if the 'Add Water' indicator lights up?

The indicator shows a lack of water in the tank. Open the lid, remove the ice bucket, fill with drinking water up to the maximum mark, then press the on/off button again to restart production.

How to choose between small and large ice cubes?

Use the ice cube selection button. Press several times to toggle between small and large ice cubes. In cold weather (ambient temperature < 15°C), it is recommended to choose small ice cubes to prevent them from sticking together.

How to clean the ice machine?

Unplug the appliance. Open the lid, remove the ice basket and drain the water via the drain plug. Clean the tank with a soft cloth dampened with warm soapy water. Rinse and wipe dry. You can also use the self-cleaning function ('Clean' button) which lasts 30 minutes.

Why do the ice cubes stick together?

This may be due to a cycle that is too long or water temperature that is too low. Stop the machine, let the ice cubes melt, then restart by selecting small ice cubes. Make sure the water temperature is between 8°C and 32°C.

What is the ice production capacity?

The machine can produce ice cubes continuously until the basket is full. The water tank has a capacity of 2 liters. The cycle time depends on ambient temperature and water temperature. The ice cube size also affects the cycle.

Is it normal to hear liquid noises?

Yes, it is normal. The machine uses R290 (propane) refrigerant that circulates in the system. You may hear the sound of the compressor and gas circulation. This does not affect performance.

What to do if the machine does not produce ice?

First check the 'Add Water' indicator: fill with water if necessary. Make sure the ambient temperature is below 32°C and the water is cold (between 8°C and 32°C). If the problem persists, there may be a leak or blockage: contact customer service.

Can I use an extension cord?

It is not recommended to use an extension cord as it could overheat and pose a fire risk. Plug the appliance directly into a suitable wall outlet.

How to dispose of the appliance at end of life?

• Dispose of the appliance only at an authorised waste disposal facility. Do not expose to flame.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person being responsible for their safety.

• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  Children between the ages of 3 and 8 are not allowed to load and unload refrigeration equipment.

• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as

This appliance contains the refrigerant propane (R290), a natural gas which is environmentally friendly. Although it is flammable, it does not damage the ozone layer and does not increase the greenhouse effect. The use of this coolant has, however, led to a slight increase in the noise level of the appliance. In addition to the noise of the compressor, you might be able to hear the coolant flowing around the system. This is unavoidable and does not have any adverse effect on the performance of the appliance. Care must be taken during the transportation and setting up of the appliance that no parts of the cooling system are damaged. Leaking coolant can damage the eyes.

• Keep ventilation openings in the unit housing free of obstacles.
• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
• The refrigeration system contains a high-pressure refrigerant. Do not damage the refrigeration system.
• The maintenance of the refrigeration system shall be done by professionals.
• Do not use any mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process or the ice recovery process.
• Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.
• Unplug the ice maker before cleaning or making any repairs or servicing.
• Do not clean the ice maker with flammable liquids, as this could cause a fire or explosion.
• Refrigerant and insulation blowing gas are flammable.

Special Notes

• When positioning the unit, make sure that the power cord is not pinched or damaged.
• Make sure that there are no multiple sockets or power supplies on the back of the unit.

To avoid contamination of food, please follow the instructions below:

• Regularly clean surfaces that may come into contact with food. Clean the water drain regularly.
• Fill the device with potable water only.
• If the appliance contains a water tank, clean it if it has not been used for 48 hours. Rinse the tank if no water has been removed for 5 days.

WARNING

When using, servicing and disposing of the unit, pay attention to the left symbol on the rear of the unit or on the compressor. This symbol warns of possible fires. There are flammable substances in the refrigerant lines and in the compressor. Keep the appliance away from sources of fire during use, maintenance and disposal.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Remove all internal and external packaging and check for ice baskets and spoons; if any attachments are missing, please contact the Customer Service.

2. Remove the ice basket and scrub in warm water, then wash the tank with warm water and a soft cloth.

3. Place the Ice Maker out of direct sunlight and away from heat and radiation. Place the Ice Maker horizontally and ensure that there is at least 15cm of space between the sides and the back.

4. Plug the Ice Maker into a suitable electrical outlet.

5. Open the top cover and insert the ice basket (as shown below).

1. Touch the Ice cube selection button to select the ice cube size; if the room temperature is below 15^ , it is recommended to select small ice cubes to prevent the ice from sticking.

2. Open the top cover, remove the ice cube tray, add water to the water tank, keep the water level below the highest mark, replace the ice cube tray and close the top cover.

3. Press the power button on the control panel to start making ice. The initial water quantity should be more than 1 litre.

4. The duration of each ice making cycle depends on the size of the ice cubes selected and the room temperature; the size of the ice cubes depends on the water temperature and the ambient temperature.

5. Once the Ice Maker has been started, the water level in the water tank should be checked regularly. If the pump cannot get out of the water, the Ice Maker will automatically stop and the low water indicator light will illuminate to indicate low water. At this point, the water tank should be refilled and the button pressed to restart the ice maker.

6. When the ice tray is full, the ice maker stops automatically.

7. It is recommended to change the water every 24 hours to keep the water clean. If the Ice Maker is not used for a long time, drain the remaining water from the tank. Touch the automatic cleaning button in standby mode to enter the cleaning function.

8. The cleaning time is 30 minutes. The cleaning indicator light is always on during cleaning. After cleaning, the water in the tank is drained from the bottom of the machine.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Daily Maintenance

• Before / after using this ice machine, it is recommended that you completely clean the whole machine.
• Open the control panel cover (as shown in the figure below) and the upper cover to take out the ice basket.
• Open the water of the drainage plug in dried water.
• Wipe the liner with diluted cleaners, warm water and soft cloth.
• The outside of the machine should often use diluted cleaners and warm water.
• Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
• Close the drain plug. When the machine is not used for a long time, the water in the water tank should be drained and the water tank should be wiped dry.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION

The ice making process is normal, but no ice is formed.	Ambient temperature or water temperature is too high.	Please make ice when the ambient temperature is lower than 32°C and add a certain amount of cold water to the water tank.
