Your ADE portable stadiometer is a quality product. In order to achieve best possible results please follow the instructions carefully. Safety information: Inspect parts for damage before putting them together. Do not use devices in case of damage due to risk of injury. Operation and assembly

1. Remove the four upright inserts and unlock the head rest from its secure carrying

position in the base plate by sliding it forward and remove the stabilizers (wall distance pieces) from their storage place.

2. Slot the uprights firmly together and check that the bottom section (marked with an

arrow) sits firmly in the base slot and that the symbols

3. Slide one of the two stabilisers onto the upright, then the measuring head rest and then

slide the second stabiliser above it. Position the stabilisers so that they are clear of the joins on the upright sections.

4. Place the base plate on a firm, level surface. Both stabilisers should rest against a wall

to ensure rigidity. An accurate measurement can only be guaranteed, if installed in the described way. Steps to accurate measurement

1. Stand the subject to be measured on the footprints, preferably barefoot, with the heels

together and touching the backstop.

2. Check that the legs are straight and position the buttocks and shoulder blades

touching the uprights. The shoulders should be relaxed and arms placed to the side.

3. Position the head in the Frankfurt Plane with both hands having lowered the

measuring arm firmly onto the head. The Frankfurt Plane is an imaginary horizontal line running between the ear hole and the lower border of the eye.8 MZ10042-210420-Rev004-UM-de-en-fr-es-nl-it-gr

4. Read off the height to the last completed millimetre at the red arrow pointing to the

Metric scale. The second red arrow pointing to the Imperial scale may be read only to inform anyone unfamiliar with the Metric system.

Dismantling the stadiometer Remove the stabilisers and head piece and slot the uprights into the housing on either side of the base plate slots. Store the two stabilisers into the ends of the uprights or as shown below. Remember to slot the head piece back into the base plate for safe keeping during transport.

Cleaning and Maintenance Cleaning: - Take care that board is always cleaned properly. - For cleaning use common disinfection products or soft cleaning fluids on a damp cloth. - Do not use any aggressive cleaning material.MZ10042-210420-Rev004-UM-de-en-fr-es-nl-it-gr 9 Warranty – Liability ADE will repair or replace this product within a period of 2 years from date of delivery applying to defects occurred due to poor material or workmanship (presentation of invoice is necessary). Warranty does not include natural wear, damages caused by incorrect or negligent handling, overuse or unsuitable or improper storage. The cost of transport will be borne by the customer should the equipment be located anywhere other than the customer’s premises. In the event of transport damage, claims under warranty can be accepted subject to using the complete original packaging and the equipment secured the way it was packed and secured originally. All the packaging should therefore be retained. Customers abroad are kindly requested to contact their local dealer for any warranty claim, customer service and spare parts. Disposal of the equipment: If the measuring stick has exceeded its service life, dispose of it properly and professionally in accordance with the country-specific laws and local regulations.
